Escaping Nightmare NaNoWriMo

Task A: Write your synopsis - What is your story about? How would you describe it or what is the general idea of it? Describe it in 300 words.

Lili Auclair was born in a french family with 17 other sisters and 4 brothers, she was somewhere near the youngest of all of them. Her father had many wives and they had many children, most of them ended up leaving or died of some disease. Her father then ran off doing something likely crazy. On November 2nd, Lili's 13th birthday, only 2 remained. Charlotte and Isabella were not the world's best mothers, Charlotte was an obnoxious cruel woman who'd do anything to hurt Lili and her sibling's feelings. Isabella was too busy to even look at them, she'd usually be outside minding her own business.

During the normal days, all the children were homeschooled, Charlotte's way of teaching was basically screaming our orders and making you do stuff that's not even related to stuff you learn in school. Every time a new sibling came along, everybody had to start over so they were learning the same things. You could be repeating the same lesson for over 10 times before you finally moved on. It was basically torture. Most of Lili's siblings would never get used to it, because Charlotte changed methods every month. One month she just yelled "Cook me something now!" every once in a while, even somewhere in the middle of the night. And when they did, she just said "Okay now go away." And threw it in the trashcan.

Lili so badly wanted to run away, so did most of her siblings. But Charlotte watches them every minute of the day and wants them all in the same place so she doesn't have to move around. She barely even took here eyes off them for even a few seconds. Charlotte also never bothered learning their names, she was just like "You! Go clean that girl's bedroom or whatever."

After being called "You" for at least 10,000 times, she decides to escape this mansion of torture somehow (or poison Charlotte, that would work), but when she does, what will she find in this outside world?

Task B: Make your outline - What is the chronological timing of events? You can follow different structures such as Freytag’s Pyramid or The Hero’s Journey. You also don’t have to complete the whole story to get the reward. Simply achieve a minimum of 600 words.

1. Introduction
Lili Auclair was born in Bordeaux, France on November 2nd as the youngest of all her siblings. By that time she had 12 alive mothers, 7 of them which visited the house almost every week. Only 3 had died or gone missing mysteriously, and most of her mothers didn't know about each other at all. Lili's first 3 years were great, and every one of her siblings was just as happy as her. Until one day, when Lili was 3, something changed their lives forever and ever.

2. Basically some explaining what has been going on
9 years had passed ever since the great incident, Lili had 4 younger siblings now, 3 of which were girls. Lili laid wide awake in bed every night in her life, thinking How did this all happen? It started back when Lili was 3, her mothers found out about each other, left her father and Lili and her siblings, her father left to start over, abandoning his children with Charlotte and Isabella who were both cruel and vicious women.

3. A normal day for Lili and her brothers and sisters
Charlotte constantly bellows orders and makes them meet in the living room after they finish. Charlotte starts to teach them the alphabet because of Lili's youngest sister who just turned 4. One of Lili's sisters, Flora, moans that she knew this already and Charlotte hears it. Which wastes 10 minutes because Charlotte spent the whole time screaming at Flora's face. Then, after the wasted 10 minutes, Charlotte hands out books. Lili gets one about Gardening, her favorite sister, Rubi, gets one about literature.

Rubi is Lili's favorite sister for many reasons. First of all, Rubi was the only one who took Lili seriously. The others were all like "Aww... I know, you have such a sweet idea of your big dream of escaping but it'll never work. I'm sorry, Lili. Just give up and get used to it, it's really not that bad...". But it was that bad, who wants to get bossed around all day by a crazy woman who hardly lets you eat what you want?

Lili's least favorite sister is Moyenne, the second oldest of all of her siblings. Moyenne was a mean girl (her name in French literally means "mean") who never ever took Lili seriously, even when it was actually urgent. Lili had a flashback of when she had warned Moyenne that her cat was stuck on a tree, and Moyenne didn't believe it. Her cat ended up escaping to the town, and Moyenne blamed Lili and the others for it.

Lili continued to read, the boring book about gardening gave her an idea. She could climb a tree and jump over the fence at night. Charlotte sometimes let them in the backyard for fresh air, so Lili could take the chance and run away there.

When Charlotte went into the other rooms to inspect them, Lili told Rubi her plan, and Rubi got all excited. They had to keep quiet, though, because Moyenne was already suspicious of them and she could go running to Charlotte any moment. And that's what she did.

While Lili and Rubi were being interrogated by Charlotte, Moyenne was enjoying the outdoors grinning at them. After Charlotte was done, she just kept on watching them, making sure they didn't do anything. Eventually, the girls started reading to make Charlotte go away. Charlotte did not go away, unfortunately. She made everyone eat lunch and gave them a long boring lecture. After that, they did chores and ate dinner. They went to bed at 9.

4. A bunch of stuff that happens next.
So basically the next few days will just be Lili trying to find a way to get into the backyard at night. After a few nights, she manages to escape with Rubi. After that, they face many new challenges which I will write about next NaNoWriMo.

Task C. Create your main character - This would be your main protagonist. Tell us about them - what do they look like, where did they come from, what are their strengths and weaknesses and what are their flaws. Why are they in this story and what do you want them to gain from their adventure? Be as detailed as you can regarding this. Please provide a description of at least 500 words.

Lili Auclair has brown-blonde hair and speaks with a french accent. Her eyes are amber, and she has a shy smile. She is gentle, but quick to anger. She is proper, hardly ever slouched, and had her manners. Lili is an ambitious girl, she doesn't care what others say, and she is choosy with who she wants to be with. She is easily disregarded by her siblings (but Rubi), and hardly anyone listens to her ambitions. She is a bit vengeful, but she is really determined. Whenever she has a goal, she'll never stop until she reaches it.

Lili is choosy with clothes, nothing fancy or never too plain. She grew up hating reading, the Auclair family's library never had anything but how-to books and novels with english literature. It was hard to not give up on reading. It was probably the only thing she wasn't determined on, because the books seemed very slow moving. Lili would have grown up loving school, if it wasn't taught by Charlotte. Lili didn't seem to enjoy sports either, it made her sweat, which smelled weird. She wore a hat on hot and sunny days to protect her skin, on cold winter days, she wore at least 2 layers.

Lili's biggest desire was to escape her horrendous family, but that was the idea that nobody but Rubi even listened to. It made Lili for a while, but then she realised if they weren't going to stick with it, she would. She plans to escape with Rubi and abandon everyone else. Lili felt better every time she saw the ash tree outside of her house, it reminded her of how escape was possible, if she put yourself to it. But she felt really frustrated whenever nobody would listen to her, even if she wasn't talking about escape. In her family, that was the disadvantage of being the youngest in normal conversations. She did have younger siblings but they hardly even talked at all.

Lili wouldn't want to be the oldest, either, everyone listened to you even when your ideas were terrible and even a 3 year old would've come up with something better. You also couldn't go anywhere without people asking "What do I do? I want to be involved with this!" or "Can I help? Can I help?".

Lili has 17 sisters, most of them she didn't bother learning the names of because they were so mean to her. She knew Flora, Moyenne, Rubi, Reine, Rogue, and either Annabelle or Annabella. Lili believed she and Rubi had the best names out of her siblings, mainly because most of her siblings' names meant something in French.

Once, Lili asked her siblings to describe her, here is what most of them came up with:

Irrelevant thinker

Well that offended Lili very much, she came up with one word for herself: Underestimated. Starting from the age of 7, Lili knew her siblings didn't love her that much, thought she was useless, thought she had no brains whatsoever, and always thought her ideas were ridiculous. Lili's ideas were great, in her opinion, but why wouldn't they just try them? That was the thought she grew up with.Why wouldn't they just try them?

They always tried out each other's ideas, but not hers. Lili hated it very much, so she tried out them herself. They worked out pretty well, she got into a habit about not sharing them. And that's how she started living at the age of 8.
