Backstory

Nicole was born to Audrey and John Richards, muggles. She has an older sister, Juliette, and a younger brother, George. Nicole was raised quite normally, with no knowledge of magic until her Hogwarts letter arrived. Her sister was enchanted with the notion of a magic school, but Nicole was a bit more hesitant--suppose this was all a prank?

She fought with her siblings occasionally , but had a decent relationship with them overall (and was especially close to Juliette). She has a good relationship with her parents, who tried to understand the fact that their daughter turned out to be a witch. Nicole played softball, and the violin, cello, and piano, often giving recitals or playing in an orchestra. She frequently ran lines with Juliette, who loved theatre, or played catch with George. Her mother had French origins, though very distant, and encouraged both her daughters to learn to speak it (George never showed any interest at all). Her aunt, Eloise, moved to Paris, and helped both girls with their French, creating a bond between them. As such, Nicole often frequented France on vacations to see her aunt.

Her first instance of magic happened when she was just three years old, staying at a daycare while her mother worked. A boy who also attended the daycare, Anthony, came over and took the teddy bear she had been playing with. Upset, she began to cry, and the stuffed bear floated back into her arms.At the same time, several nearby toys began to float. This was all quickly explained away--Anthony must have dropped the toy, and Nicole picked it up again. As the the floating toys, clearly Anthony was trying to exaggerate the story, as he was already known for lying and being pushy at the daycare, while, on the other hand, Nicole had never caused trouble before.

Appearance

Nicole is fairly petite and small for her age, with long, blonde hair and green-blue eyes. She has a smattering of freckles across her nose and cheeks.

Personality

Nicole is rather shy at first, but warms up quickly. She's intelligent and curious, and is kind to all of those she meets, even if she's not very outgoing. She's somewhat serious, a perfectionist, and very level-headed.

Mother: Audrey Richards

General Infor: Born as Audrey Smith, to Emily and Jacob Smith, she was the little sister to Eloise Smith. As a muggle, she was never exposed to magic, or had even heard of it until Nicole received her letter. She would say she was rather spoiled as a child, as her parents largely allowed her and Eloise to do what they liked and have what they liked. More TBA

General Info: Born to James and Beatrice Richards, he was the oldest of three--Andrew and Henry being his younger brothers. He was mostly responsible for them, as his parents both had very busy jobs. However, they tried to spend as much time with their children as they could, despite work getting in the way. As such, John grew up happy and loved, and, as a muggle, had no connections to the magical world.

General Infor: Two years older than Nicole, Juliette loved all things theatre. She often starred in school plays (and used her brother and sister to help her run lines) and hoped to make a career out of acting. She was always dramatic, very extroverted, and very well-liked among her peers.

General Info: Two years younger than Nicole, George is excitable and has a love of all things little boy related; such as getting as messy as possible. He and Nicole got along fairly well, though, of course, he annoyed her at times (and took great pleasure in it). Nicole is rather protective of him, though, he hates it.
