Closed Apple pie? pv Jannette

Today was a pretty normal day for Jannette. She had to make sure she was prepared for DADA tomorrow, and what better way of doing that than waiting till the last minute and spending time at the Great Hall! Jannette had her typical Hogwarts diet prepared, with a beautiful cauldron-shaped cupcake, and a unicorn-colored cake on her plate. As the young girl took a bite of her cupcake, a Ravenclaw girl with eyes that match her house's colors begins to talk to her.

"Is there any pie here? Preferably Apple pie?"

Jannette looked up at the girl with stuffed cheeks. FINALLY, a question she actually knew! Throughout the brunette's experience at Hogwarts, Jannette was utterly blinded to the stupid questions people asked her, especially her classmates. No, she didn't show what ingredients were needed for the potion assignment, no she didn't learn about what kinda stars in the sky are for astronomy, and no she didn't remember how to properly say the correct incantation for Wingdarium-Whatever it's called. And why would anyone ask her these sorta questions, did they not know she's in Slytherin? Like... ask a Ravenclaw!

However, when it came to deserts and treats at Hogwarts, Jannette gets straight O's on her report card for that subject. She knew everything about deserts in Hogwarts, and I mean everything. Jannette categorized each desert that came out of that kitchen in alphabetical order in her diary, she tallies which days had which deserts and at what table, and with Halloween coming just around the corner, she even made predictions on what kinda pumpkin pie they might have for Halloween.

Learning from the past, Jannette saw the opportunity in front of her. She didn't want to mess this up, especially if she can make a new friend! Jannette finishes munching on her cupcake, "ahple pie..."¹ She licks her fingers, "Pfff tahs easy I know where dahs a' 'n also -- sup'r good choice."² She pauses for a moment before pointing at the end of the table, "I's righ' down -- ac'ually, wai', wai' oi can show you where i's a'. Follow meeeeee!~"³ She says gleefully, getting up from her chair, "Oi'm Jannette by dah way, Firs' year here, hey did you know dah Apple is par' o' moi las' name, Oh-oh 'n did you know --"⁴ Jannette began to babble on and on about random topics: some being about her time at Hogwarts, and other topics about the best deserts in order, and some topics that just seemed a little too give off way too much information.

As seconds turn to minutes which honestly felt like hours, she continued talking, not moving or showing the poor Ravenclaw where the heck the apple pie is. "Oh 'n moi Nan makes dah bes' Apple pies 'n-'n she also --"⁵ Oh no, she did it again.

This is gonna be a while...

Clair. Second Year. “OOoooh Clair. Pleasah t’mee’cha!~”¹ The Niffler would put her grubby paws out for a handshake, her hand seeming messy and sticky with bits of food on them. She’d blink a few times awaiting a shake. While this is the first time Jannette ever met Clair, Jannette would soon over the past few months know of Clair Fernandez name. The amount of times Colin would howl this girl's name in the common room around Jannette would make Jannette roll her eyes, or even at times the Niffler would imitate Colin. Merlin bless Clair.

"Apple is part of your last name, that's very cool! Mine is boring, it has no food in it."

Jannette would grow wide eyed, her glasses making the hues of her apple-green eyes grow bigger than a deer in headlights! “R-realleh?! You t’ink moi name is cool?!”² She'd lean forward in her seat a little, her voice seeming high pitched. It was probably one of the few people who thought her name was cool. In fact, her family name was considered the laughing stock of her other family, the Cherrybottoms usually brag about their wealth compared to the Applebottoms!

"I bet she does!"

Jannette’s heart would grow tenfold, hearing about reaffirmation of her Grammys cooking. “Well in dah case!~ Maybe oi can ge’ my Nan t’make yah some one o t’ese days! BU-”³ She’d get up from her chair, now brushing the bits of crumbs from her apple sweater, finally realizing why the girl came to Jannette in the first place. “Oi! I almos' fergo', I was suppose t’show yah dah apple pies!”⁴ Jannette would move her hand in a following motion, as she does so, she would go down the Slytherin table, as she’d trail on and on about each desert or food passing by, “Dah one is a cauldron cuhpcake…”⁵ To even, a huge stack of ice cream, with colors of pink, blue, with sparkles, “Unicohrn Ice cream is also super good prohabably one o’ moi favori’e flavors righ’ nex’ teh apple! ‘Ave yuh ev’r ‘ad dah a’ Floreans?!”⁶ Little did Jannette know, that Unicorn Ice Cream was just vanilla ice cream transfigured to have the coloring…

As Jannettes eyes would scan across her house's table, Jannettes eyes would grow, as a wide grin appeared from ear to ear, before pointing with her index finger. “Oh-Oh!” She said in excitement, turning to Clair, “‘Eres dah apple pie!”⁷ Jannette would then go over to the large wooden circular tray filled with many different types of Apple Pies, “Nooow – t’ere many differen' type o’ apple pies…” Jannette would then turn her heel and move rather close to Clair, so close in fact that the two’s noses would almost seem to touch; sadly, personal space is not a thing for this girl… “NOW CHOOHSE WOISLEY!”⁸ She exclaimed, her tone sounding like a warning. “Yeh ‘ave many options t’choose from. From regular plain Apple Pie, t’dah cinnamon one roigh’ nex’ to i’! T’eres also carmel pie, duhtch apple pie, crumblin’ apple pie… Apple cu’ie pies…”⁹ Jannette continued to babble about the different types of pies, pointing to each one like she had this all memorized already. “Anyways,” She’d squint at Clair, “Pick one! Pick-Pick-Pick!” She’d say in a sugary excitement, waiting to see which kind of apple pie Clair will pick.
