Mutiny Game 1 Summer Camp '22

Nessie didn’t like this. So many of the others were gone, and it seemed the group was no closer to uncovering the truth. Which of course was just as distressing as it had been previously, but the situation was only becoming more and more urgent: if they didn’t figure this out soon, there’d be nobody left to figure it out.

She listened carefully to the others, interested by their discussion and trying to piece it all together.

“I think EmmaLee has a good point,” Nessie spoke up, finally. She’d been quite almost the whole game, too shy to say much in the group of murderous strangers until a terrible ending to the game loomed close. “Those who aren’t here anymore, they were all good … and some of them suspected Pax, right? What if they were onto something?”

Nessie couldn’t be sure who of the remaining group to trust, but she knew that those who were gone weren’t wolves, and she thought she recalled several of them suspecting Pax before their untimely demises.

Voting for a potential protector would be a risk, and that was why Nessie had avoided doing so up until this point. She hadn’t been sure, and still wasn’t. But anything was a risk now; if they didn’t get this right it might be the end.

I have my dentist appointment on the 29th to see if 100% of the infection went away.
So I will give you remaining 4 up until the morning of the 29th to get your post/vote in.

My appointment is at 2pm. So I'll have to leave by maybe 1pm or 12noon EST.
Therefore, when I wake up the first thing I'll do is do the mod post.
If I don't get around to it before then, I'll post as soon as I get back from the dentist.

When Bubba walked the plank, Silver felt for sure she had made the right decision this time. She was following the advice of her older comrade, but as he fell to the water, it became clear that Bubba was just another human. Her heart sank. If she hadn't suggested him, would the others have voted for him? Was his blood all on her hands?

Another day and another death brought a distraction from Silver's conscience. A girl named Emma was found aboard the deck, gruesomely murdered in the middle of the night.

Like clockwork, the accusations started again. Silver's worst fears took root as the crew turned on Pax, the person Silver considered their protector and her closest thing to an ally. Sure she had not spoken directly to Pax, but she knew the Duchess had trusted them, so Silver did, too. They were outspoken about being the protector, but so far there was no logical discrepancy between what they said and who was taken in the night.

Pax turned on their captain, Bluemane. They had a point. Why had they voted for the captain in the first place if not to lead them and protect them? Well, she wasn't protecting them, that was for sure. Silver allied her vote with Pax. When the Gryffindor offered to protect her or themself, Silver returned with, hopefully out of the others' earshots, "Surely Pax, you should protect yourself tonight."

The sigh that left Vivienne's mouth was long overdue when Bubba turned out to be a human. It seemed impossible now. Impossible to vote for the correct person. Seriously, what were they doing wrong? Every single round Vivienne, and mostly everyone else, had voted for people who were most suspicious, and yet, they turned out to be a fellow human. There was one singular person who remained that Vivienne had her doubts on all this time: Pax. They had been suspicious to Vivienne for a long time, and everyone else hadn't believed her or followed her lead. It seems they had paid for it now.

The next morning, poor Emma was yet another victim. They really had to find these wolves and fast lest they want any more of their own to die. Vivienne didn't bother voicing her opinion this time, a shock that the usually talkative girl would choose to stay quiet, but it seemed no one else had listened to her previously. So, she would silently cast her vote on Pax once again and hope the odds win. Hopefully, everyone else will vote for Pax. They have to be a wolf, bound to be one. They're too suspicious to not be. Not to mention the fact they had voted for their own captain, even after being by their side all this time. Something isn't quite right about them.

Plus, I'm stressing about the dentist tomorrow as my infection I don't think is 100% gone.
Soooo. I will give you 2 until the 30th to post/vote.

If you haven't posted by the end of the 30th, I will post the mod post without you.
Remember, if you don't post the next week though you will be eliminated from the game.
And someone will be called to take your place and role.
Unless the game is over, if you guys get unlucky and take out a human again both times.

This was it. Swashbuckler Florian knew they had one last chance to vote out someone or the wolves would have an easy takeover. And once again, there was a clear amount of people voting for Pax. Once again, Florian didn't understand why. Perhaps now was finally the time to let his secret go, as unhelpful as it had seemed to be. His skills of deduction simply weren't good enough. But this was all he had.

"Listen everyone, I am the Hunter. I have not been very good at my job, I admit, it seems that many of you were acting out in a way that caused my suspicion of you. Because of this, I have not been able to find a wolf. For that, I apologize." He would bow to the group. "I can tell you with 100% certainty that Pax Zhang and Beatrice Langstreth are NOT wolves. Myself is obviously included in this, and the others that I have investigated have perished."

"Now, I am certainly setting myself up for suspicion, as well as for a possible attack tonight, but if we kill another human today, it won't matter. This is the only option forward. I wish I knew who a wolf was, but I'm just going off those who are voting for Pax, as it seems a clear indication of guilt. Aside from Beatrice of course." he paused again, this time taking a deep breath. "I am most likely making myself a target for tonight, or perhaps the wolves will take out Pax. No matter. I have no reason to lie to you now, I simply want to see us succeed."

He would end his statement there, hoping he could change some minds, but knowing that most likely they were on the path to loosing.

DAY 5 - directly before night time

As before, there was much talk about who was responsible for the recurring deaths of those on board. Accusations flew but there was no proof as to who might have killed those who perished during the night time. But they couldn't just let everyone go and so those on board put it to a vote again, hoping that this time, they would finally find the killer.

This time, 3 people were nominated, Pax, EmmaLee and Sophia.

Pax and Sophia each had 3 votes, whereas EmmaLee got the majority of votes with just 1 more, making her total votes as being 4 votes. As a result, those on board had deemed EmmaLee as being responsible for the killings. Would justice prevail and a wolf be revealed for the first time? Unfortunately, history would repeat itself again as EmmaLee would be revealed as a human as she walked the plank and fell to her watery death.

Night fell once more on the Chaos Demon, where the sea surrounded them and prevented those on board from escaping the ship to ensure safety. Those on board had just sent yet another one of their own to their grave. Now, there were 5 humans and 5 wolves. The wolves appeared to be unstoppable. Would they be able to win this game? All they needed was to be able to take out one more human during the night for a complete and total victory. As long as the protector didn't save their target that night, they would win.

DAY 6

Again, morning rays of light shone down upon the Chaos Demon and a new body showed up on deck. Piérre Marchonné's body would be found by whoever happened to be upon the scene first. The wolves smelled victory in the air as the latest body was laid out for the remaining humans to come across. The count was now 5 wolves versus 4 humans and the wolves sensed total and complete victory for them. As a result, they all decided to band together and reveal their identities. Licking their lips, they would lie in wait for the body to be discovered and pounce on all the remaining humans, tearing them to shreds. The wolves would reign victorious and would celebrate for the remainder of the long day!
