I have made my question of the day: Why do people (especially parents or siblings) blame you for something you had no part of or accuse you of being at fault when you do nothing wrong? Example:your cousin did something bad while you were talking to your friends.

Ok so. I carry chewing gum around with me because I have anxiety and it helps. Anyways, one day a kid comes up to me and asks for gum. Please don't think of me differently, but he was darker-skinned. I promise this will be relevant in this story. So he's like "Can I have a piece of gum" and of course this happens a lot so I politely explain to him what the deal is. And he full-on- I swear to god he had tears in his eyes, on the verge of crying, he said "It's because I'm black isn't it?"

Because people are screwed up. We all do boneheaded things like this at one point in time or another. We don't take time to consider the other person and we end up hurting them like that. We get so into ourselves and focused on what we think is right. I'm in the middle of one now with someone here. All I want to do now is repair the damage before it gets worse!
