The First (Dreadful) Letter

Augustus sighed, but was feeling a bit hopeful. He had hoped his little sister had something to send him. Maybe news about home? He would've given anything for some news on his grandmother's health. While she was healthy, he always worried for her. Anyway, he tore upon his first letter after an owl dropped it in his hands. He took a look, and read it.
Dearest Augustus,
I hope you are doing well, but I have some news. Very, very, bad news. Grandma is getting married! Sounds happy, does it? It does not. I am serious. It's this old man named Paul, and they're inseparable. But, I don't like him. He gives me weird vibes. He tried to steal something from your room, but I don't know what. He didn't take my allergies into account when he cooked for us. He's this old guy whos balding and has a huge long beard. He had cold green eyes, and he gives me weird vibes. He'd give you them, too. Anyway, I know this is a waste of time for you, but I just need to let you know. Also, I kind of wanted to give you something, but I lost it.
With regards, your little sister, Genesis
Augustus smiled. He knew his sister. While she would write if she had to, she'd get to the point. But, she was only 8. Anyone could cut her a bit of slack, wouldn't they? She could write proper letters, but only when she put in just a bit of effort. However, he was more than happy to see a letter.
Yet, he felt sick. His grandmother was getting married. Imagine how much would change.
But he'd give it a lot more thought later...
