Here you go! Tesla is about average weight and height and she wasn't running too fast, so it's up to you if you want Eva to be knocked down or not. Tesla would be incredibly stressed either way. You're welcome to assume Tesla would walk with Eva if you want to walk and talk.
Date and Time: Sept 16, Early Evening
Tesla couldn't believe it was yet another rainy day, and just in time for the weekend too. She'd planned on going for a jog along the edge of the forbidden forest to maybe spot some animals, she wasn't dumb enough to actually go in, but looking wasn't forbidden! She wanted to celebrate it being Friday, but when they'd finally been released from potions down in the depths of the dungeons, she looked out the window and was appalled to find the sky was full of dark clouds as far as the eye could see and it was pouring down rain. There goes that plan, she thought sadly to herself, making her way back to the dorm.

She changed into her casual clothes, and managed to sit still for all of three minutes before she finally had to give in to the urge to get up and move. If she couldn't run outside, she'd just have to find some of the quieter corridors she still hadn't been down and do some sprinting there. Pulling on her tennis shoes she climbed out of the common room and jogged up to the second floor. After a bit of wandering to find some less used corridors to hopefully not disturb anyone, she gave into her urge to sprint around corners and jump over stone patterns in the floor and get her energy out any way she felt like.

Before too long, she found herself terribly, horribly lost without even consciously realizing it. As soon as she looked up from where she'd been trying to see how far she could jump from one stone to the next, she discovered she didn't recognize anything about the corridor she was in. There wasn't even a window to check what side of the school she was on. Tesla wasn't too worried, Hogwarts didn't let students stay lost forever and it always seemed to help them find their way out eventually. It did mean that instead of more reckless sprinting or jumping, she started jogging at a reasonably brisk pace looking for anything or anyone she recognized. She didn't really know how long she'd been there, but her stomach was telling her it must have been about dinnertime.

As she turned around a corner she felt herself slam directly into something, knocking herself back onto the ground with her momentum. At first she thought it was just one of the creepy suits of armor she'd have to clean up, but when she looked at what she'd run into she realized it was another Hufflepuff, about her age. Scrambling up she quickly offered her hand out, eyes wide with panic and stammering out apology after apology. "Oh my gosh, I am so, so sorry. Are you okay? I didn't know there was anyone else here! I got lost and I was trying to find my way out and I didn't mean to run into you! Please tell me I didn't hurt you did I?"

Thank you for starting the thread and I love the banner! I wrote a lot more than I intended; please bear with me until it gets to the point... :"")
Evangeline had been attempting to memorize the location of her classes, but the task was proving to be harder than she had anticipated. Her short legs did not help the already slow pace of her progress. Either she had not visited this particular part of the building or she had failed to include it on her badly drawn map. Where was she even supposed to be heading?

Right. Transfiguration class. What even is that? she wondered, an image of the metallic robotic beings coming to mind. I doubt that's got anything to do with the class.

To prevent herself from getting even more lost, she paced to the side of the corridor and held her 'map' up to a torch, hung on the wall. The torches never died out; she assumed it was because they were magic. Smudged lines on the parchment told her nothing more than what she already knew. With a frustrated sigh, she folded the sheet and tucked it back into her robe.

I suppose heading in one direction will eventually lead me somewhere... Hopefully a place with people this time.

So off she went, treading through the passageways, eyes trained on everything she could see. Although the hallways were windowless in this section, the area was fairly well-lit, revealing intricately patterned floors and dusty stone walls. Just when the first year was about to resort to calling out for help (which really, she'd rather not do), she heard footsteps echoing down the corridor. Hope ignited, she started to pick up her pace, a slow walk turning into skips and a hop. A turn in the path was approaching, and the footsteps were getting louder.

"Oomf!"

Evangeline felt her breath getting knocked out of her when she collided with what seemed to be a flurry of a person. Landing hard on her back, she blinked rapidly, staring up at the ceiling. Fortunately, nothing seemed to be broken and the someone she'd crashed into immediately broke into an apology.

"I- I'm quite alright, thank you. Don't worry, I don't think I'm hurt! Just a bit breathless is all… Besides, I believe I owe you an apology as well for not being careful enough about where I am going-" she huffed, accepting Tesla's extended hand with a small smile.

"It's a shame I'm just as clueless about where we are as you. At least we're not alone now, right?"

Now up on her feet, she quickly dusted her robes off. A strand of her short black hair hung over her forehead, set astray from the action. Lifting her gaze up to the stranger's height, she felt rather small and resisted the urge to tiptoe, which would bring her up to this person's eye level. She was admittedly surprised by the girl's most intriguing hair, but from her apology, she seemed nice enough. Clearing her throat, the hufflepuff introduced herself, trailing off where she did not know the girl's name.

"I'm Evangeline. Pleasure to meet you… ?"

She then remembered to raise her arm, holding out her left, then switching to her right for a handshake. A handshake for formalities.

Thank you! I appreciate the spooky corridor to match the lost in the hallways vibe! I'm glad you wrote so much! It's fun to read it!!

Tesla was relieved that the girl didn't seem to be hurt, taking in her smaller size and wavy black hair with a hint of brown growing out at the roots. Tesla got the impression she could look rather intimidating when she was in a bad mood, with her sharp eyebrows and clear eyes as well. Tesla took the chance to tie a black bandana she'd left in her pocket for after her run around her head, pulling her hair out of her face so it poked out in the back instead of where it had been sticking up in the front from sweat. "No no! You don't have to be sorry at all! I should've paid more attention! I'm just glad you're okay. If a little banged up. My bad!" Tesla grimaced, "I guess two heads are better than one! Even if one of those heads has a habit of running around blind corners and running into the other and both of us are lost," Tesla finished apologetically.

"Oh! I'm Tes! Tesla Stone that is, I'm a first year in Hufflepuff. Which... I guess you could guess. Considering I'm lost. So... You're probably one too?" Tesla reached out with her left hand, then her right to shake hands, trying to match Evangeline's movements. She suddenly broke into laughter, throwing her head back and chortling until she was bent over and gasping for breath. "Oh my gosh, I just realized how silly this is. Like something out of a muggle novel! I'm so glad I ran into you, even if I'm not the happiest it was literal!"

Once she had gotten herself under control, wiping a few stray tears away, she straightened up and grinned at Evangeline. "Let's see if we can't find our way back together!" Tesla started to wander down a corridor, picking a direction different from where she and Evangeline had both come from, "What were you doing wandering around anyways?"
