Aaaaaaahahahah fire flowers. How..unnerving. With each flower he evaded, a familiar tickle itched his nose. Pollen allergy was nothing to be scared of anymore, but it didn’t help his mental urge to resist anything that had to do with flowers. So two things were running through his mind while he was doing the next task.
1) The crisped burned edges of the flying flower was satisfying to see at least. It may have unlocked some old memories of his need for world domination. Or more specifically, flower domination.
2) It was terribly easy to evade these things. It may have been the fact that they were flowers, or that they were on fire, but as all the other tasks that involved evading, he managed to get through with a few others.
Oh and hey, 3) the one good thing the obstacles bought was the well needed warmth emitting from them. Sara no longer felt his teeth chattering or had the wind nip his skin. That was good news.
Another good news is that, yeay! 4)No one seemed to be hurt by the obstacles this time. Sara also came to the realization that there were about ten of them left. Oh dear. And from now on, the number will decrease. Perhaps it would be his turn next? Well, not that he minded. He had the best exercise he had in a while, and that was enough win for him. Still, he was determined to keep trying. As long as he doesn’t need to see any dreadful flowers again. Or he really might sit this one out to quell the sick feeling in his stomach. Blergh.

Florian was quite honestly losing his patience now. This was his third attempted at swimming around this dang boat, while others were climbing their way onto it and heck, even running around it. Florian's usually ever steady confidence was reaching an all-time low, and things didn't get any better as he started the second lap for the third time.
At this point, his arms simply couldn't function anymore. They were like limp noodles, and almost resulted in Florian half drowning as he tried to make his way around the boat. The girl in front of him finally managed to make it, and she looked so petite. How on earth was Florian not succeeding?
It was at this point he could hear someone yelling at him to get out of the water, basically implying that his fight was finished. Florian's face turned beet red as he realized he was getting disqualified. Disqualified. The word floated through his head like a buzzing bee, and he was unable to restrain his anger.
"I don't need any help from you!" he would respond angrily. "This whole event is rigged, rigged I tell you!" he continued to yell, now in French, certainly creating a bit of a scene in the water, splashing around wildly as he tried to keep his head above the water.
Florian would do his best to avoid those who were watching in the boat, and would make his way back to the tents himself, now with newfound rage.

As he had expected, he had been able to ascend the rope ladder with a certain degree of satisfying speed and adroitness. He was tempted to look behind him to see how close the rest of the pack was, but he did not. It would waste whatever lead he had, and he was currently leading the second tier of triathletes. That was something at least, for however long it lasted.
As he swung his leg over the edge of the ship to fully climb aboard, he could see many of the older students were already fully engaged with the running part of the event. In the moment he jumped down and was about to start running himself, he saw a fiery object shoot out across the deck.
What the....?
Okay, it was going to be a blind man's bluff-dodgeball type of round it would seem. Dodgeball was easier, obviously, as one could see the opponent and predict from their body telegraphing just when and where they would throw the ball. That advantage was not present here. Gotta love magic! These objects were magically cast at the players, so one just had to be at the ready at all times.
He did not allow himself to dwell on the knowledge that his evasive skills as of late were needing to be pumped up and fine-tuned. He had been working on them, but his new regimen was very much a work in progress and he had not yet attained the level he eventually hoped to achieve. That was fine. This event was simply for fun, but the serious side of it would be to show him where the chinks in his armor were. That information was always welcome, no matter how much of a blow to his ego it might be.
So, Stephen set out running around the deck in the same direction everyone else was already moving. It was not long before one of the fiery objects hurtled through the crowd at great velocity right at him. He easily moved to his right while keeping his stride in check, but the thing got close enough that he could see it was a fiery flower.
Hmmmm. If it was close enough for him to see what it was exactly, it was too close. This was going to take all of his concentration and he would just have to rely on muscle memory for the running. One hit was all it would take to have him fail the round.
He did not plan to fail.

With each step he climbed, his muscles seemed to scream in pain and his mind groaned in protest at the action he was performing. Why in the world was he climbing aboard a ship? Was he a peasant? A pirate? Just when would he ever need to do a bloody thing such as this again in his life? How was climbing this ladder ever going to help him again in his life? He saved his breath and did not mumble a retort, but he nevertheless cursed this triathlon in his mind. Stupid, hellish thing.
Shamsi seemed to have no qualms about climbing ladders while sopping wet. "How about we take off the practice wheels and step it up a notch, hmm?" the Indian boy would ask, and leapt up with a sudden burst of energy that Akira had no idea where it came from. He watched as the boy hopped up the ladder ahead of him, and narrowed his eyes, urging his protesting body to catch up with that monkey-ass Champion.
He heaved himself successfully onto the deck as a sopping, panting mound, and made it just in time. Goodness gracious. "Freaking burning flowers, or whatever shit this is," he mumbled, then began to run his lap around the ship, all the while trying not to get his perfect skin singed by the flaming floaters. "Shamsi, I'm going to kill you if this gives me a scar." But onwards he ran.

to be updated...
Fire. That seemed- really dangerous for a fun summer event. But Kit also remembered that strange maze- far more dangerous than the current fire, in her opinion. The rising third year tried to focus her breathing, regaining some of that strength and agility used from the climb just moments before. It was more important to not get burned than it was to finish this part fast. She'd start off slow, trying to watch for patterns and regain some energy back before speeding up throughout the section as the rhythm of the fire flowers became more routine. The Beauxbatons student took the time to edge in front of some other runners, while simultaneously worried that such an action would get herself burned. But no such thing happened, even if the heat dissipating from the flames made it harder to concentrate. In the middle of the race, this truly was one of the worst things they could have put here. Kit still finished through, a happy grin appearing on her face when she realized the section was finally over. Another lap around didn't seem too bad, but who knew how much energy she had just expended from dodging fire flowers, or even how much energy she had left. But she was pretty happy with the progress she had so far! Just a little less than half way to go, right?

ACTION Running Level 3
One leg in front of the other, Bloom had finally made it around the ship for the second time. The ship was larger than she had thought and she believed herself to be great after the second trip around. It seemed, that slowly but surely, Bloom was feeling exhausted. Her face was turning red by the minute from how much pressure she was putting on herself. But she knew that she had to keep going. So many other people were dropping like flies from the Triathlon, and here she was, working her might just to get through this event to prove herself. Some of the people who left, Bloom was shocked. She would have thought Santario would have stayed longer, but it seemed that the Triathlon was not in her favor. Bloom secretly hoped for Aurelia to be eliminated from the games soon enough.
Her breath, heavy, Bloom trodded along. While in the beginning, her arms were feeling like jelly, it was now her legs' turn. They were beginning to ache and feel numb from the amount of work she was putting them through. Bloom looked ahead, this was it... She hoped at least. One more round around the ship and it was time for something else. Bloom, unknown of what to expect, kept running like her life depended on it. She was not going to let herself, her team or Howard down.

A spark of frustration threatened to set fire within Howard's bely as he watched the other continue to pull ahead of him. What was he doing wrong? Why couldn't he gain any ground on the others? Howard was strong, he had the stamina of an athlete, he had even gone as far as training a bit for this event, yet nothing seemed to be working. However, just as he was about to let his temper get the best of him a scent would drift back from the front that immediately put him at ease. As Bloom's fragrance filled his nostrils he would be reminded that there were more important things than winning and that the real accomplishment would be just to finish. Although he still wanted to win and still perhaps could, Howard relaxed and focused on the task ahead.
After pulling himself up and over the side of the boat it was now time for another round of dodging obstacles. This one providing a bit more pressure than the last as there was fire involved. Silly wizards. Who the hell keeps fire plants anyways!?!? After a few deep breaths Howard would begin to jog a steady pace. Not too fast so that he could also remain agile and the tactic paid off. Soon enough he would finish the fire dodging lap and prepare for the last lap around the ship.

Triathlon: Round 2 Running
Whilst her arms were exhausted from the scale up the ship, left in a dull but heavy ache, her legs would still carry her on. Having taken the climb slow, it gave her just barely time to recover her strength, this which was now dispelled at full as she began her first lap around the ship. Despite her heart thundering against her chest, with slow deep breaths, and a foot in front of another, she continued. Against her head, dripping wet from the recent swim, her braided hair whipped side to side with each step forward starting in a light jog.
At the back of the pack, the fiery blossoms were quite a spectacle and so were the movement of the crowd in a frantic dance trying to avoid getting singed. A dance. At the realisation, a corner of her lips twisted up in a smirk. While her ballet training had ceased as it was in her Mother's interest to see her child succeed in other areas, specifically, academically, it was a skill, ingrained in her muscles and limbs from what was once practice and routine.
Displaying impressive agility and lightness on her feet, she moved out of the trajectory of every flaming star with ease. Arms gracefully extended at her side to help maintain her balance with each bend, duck and prance. With such focus, until the sudden absence of runners in front of her, it never occurred to her that she had manoeuvred her way forwards and was again at the head of the pack for a second time. Oh!
Head turning to glance behind her was the all too familiar face of Hadrian and another. It set her slightly dumbfounded, she'd hoped to see her boyfriend somewhere not too far behind to continue the race with. Nevertheless, she "Doing great keeping up with me, Hadrian," Words said in laboured breaths. Prodding at his ego at times was nothing short of fun banter. Though the same ache in her arms was now burning through her calves to the bone. Maintaining this pace - and position for another long lap was highly unlikely.

Louca was lean and beanpole like. He stayed in shape to keep up with quidditch but he also didn't focus on arm strength, namely because it wasn't like he spent a ton of time needing upper body strength. Until now. It seemed that many of these challenges required some sort of strength or stamina and Louca was struggling unless he was given some kind of second or third wind. He had been near the top of the pack last time, but he had now fallen back.
The task he was working on now involved climbing, which usually Louca excelled at, having climbed a variety of surfaces with no fear. But that was without having done so much swimming beforehand. His arms were getting closer and closer to wet noodle status and the sun while at first nice after the coolness of the water was now just an annoyance, especially as the water that had at first been dripping off of him had now mostly evaporated.
Pulling himself up he clenched his fists, making sure that he had a good grip and that he wasn't going to slip. He kept moving carefully, knowing if he stopped it would be hard to hang on and continue. But that meant he lost what lead he had and instead dropped back to the back of the pack. But he was determined to finish it, and so finish it he did. He waited patiently, shaking out his arms, to see what was next and how he could go about tackling it.
