Because it is a short trip from the Owlery to where you are, I did not think it would be considered abuse of the poor winged creature carrying this parcel to you. Hope he did not drop it on your head, but apologies if he did! Yikes!! I carried a huge bag full of these onto the Hogwarts Express, and then from the Hogsmeade Depot to the Great Hall, so I am pretty certain my friend here, Archimedes, can handle 1 of them.

Anyway, Happy Second year, my kilted friend! My family and I painted these over the summer. A few I did especially for the special people in my life, and lucky you! You are special. Yes, it is a rock. Thrilling, eh? But I did try to personalize it for you. Your name is on the back, the school year, and it is signed by moi. I had planned on giving it to you last night during the feast after the sorting ceremony, but you looked super busy, and your gaze was clearly on the Ravenclaw table most every time I looked over at you. Do you have anything to tell me? Hmmmmmm? I did not hear the words 'Eyes of Sky' uttered even once, so you need to do some explaining and tell me which way the winds are blowing, though I think I know already.

You must have a ton to tell me. It has been 2 months! I have things to tell you, too. Here is a teaser: I got kissed by a boy who was NOT Simon! And yes, Simon knows all about it, but still.
