Well if last round was rejuvenating, it was obvious in the spells that were cast. Hadashi remained motionless, standing alone was intimidating and the mod couldn't blame him for being unable to get spells off. Gryffindor had both resounding successes and failures. Lamik procured a wind jinx that perfectly split and hit both of his targets (Thomas and Aida) flawlessly. While there were no additional splits, it was admirable that he hit both. Meenauh had the same idea, aiming for the now weakened Aida who didn't even have a chance to dodge before they were hit. Alan attempted the same thing but at Thomas but nothing left his wand, leaving Thomas unscathed.
In the chaos Thomas went for Hadashi but the boy was able to dodge. Aida wanted to be the finishing blow to the guest team, but their spell went haywire as they were hit with not one but two wind jinxes. This left the wix out of control of their spell, sending it towards Thomas. Luckily he was able to dodge before watching his teammate fall. Now the lone representative for Ravenclaw. As per usual the duel was paused for Aida to be removed from the field. Once safely away the duel would start with a loud declaration from the mod.

Okay. It still kind of worked, though. The thing to do was to wait and see what the other team would do. This did leave room for problems, however. And his depressed state wasn't helping matters.
But, he still had a plan. Anything can work with the right strategy. Although... he was pretty sure winning this duel was not one of them. Possible, sure. Probable... Yeah no, not really.

Humming a little as the last of his team was carted off the piste, Thomas rocked back and forth on his feet. The swirling thundercloud over his head dampened his mood considerably, the unpredictability of the weather element an annoying reality he had been ignoring. In his eyes, it was better to count on his abilities rather than worry about chance, though with both he and Aida missing Hadashi--who was just standing there--perhaps such was unwise.
He smiled defiantly towards the Gryffindors, noting that they seemed keen on getting him and Aida off the stage. Though they succeeded in one such venture, wind buffeting his scrawny frame and whipping his robes about in every which way, Tom was more than happy to note that he was still standing. The stubborn boy always felt he was well equipped for battles of attrition. "It'll take more than that, I'll have you know!"Action: As strategized!

Everything was going according to the plan. No, not their plan, but destiny's, of course. She smirked at Thomas' comment before pointing her wand at him and teasing him a bit. Two targets left, and she wished she could have harnessed that trick of Galton's (or Lamik's). It would come handy at the moment. Or should she do something unusual? Something extraordinary?

Alan grinned at Thomas, hearing what he had said. "Are you sure? Though you seem to be tougher than your partners, after all you are still standing," Alan had to give him that. He did not really know Thomas that much, but for sure this was a pretty fun duel and Thomas seemed to be a good guy and a even better duellist.

At this point, the end result of the duel seemed almost obvious. Lamik and his team were going to be overwhelmingly victorious. Was this really due to their skills, or was it just luck? Either way he was happy with the result. Only two opponents left- how long would it take to take them down?

It seemed that all of Gryffindor had their eyes turned to one lone duellist in particular. Some would think they would go for the one that wasn't from their school, but no. Thomas fell under the vicious fire of the lions. But he had anticipated this issue, just like Hadashi had. Both were poised to dodge for whatever came their way. Alan's spell breezed by Thomas like it was child's play to avoid. Meenauh's spell couldn't find purchase on the boy either. Lamik's spell went a bit haywire, actually heading for his teammate, Meenauh. But luckily she was able to avoid the shoddy aiming that came from a spell losing control. No one fell this round. But for how much longer could the boy's avoid the inevitable?

As she nodded to her team the three of them performed nothing else but a Flipendo Tria! And Thomas demonstrated what good of a duellist he was by dodging those spells. Well, he actually had to dodge only two, as Lamik's spell (tiredness from the duel?) went sideways and almost hit Meenauh. She was glad she noticed it on time.
"Relax, Lamik, it's okay, we can still win this," she did a cheering routine, but actually smirking, because she knew Lamik would get the joke.
Maybe targeting Thomas wasn't a good tactic after all. She had to think out of the box.

Alan sighed just slightly when they didn't even land a single hit. However at the same time he was happy for Thomas, because he imagined it would have been incredibly painful to be hit by three knockback jinxes at once. For now Alan would ready his wand again and get into position for his next round.

This was unbelievable. There were not words strong enough to describe how sideways this duel went. Despite it not being his fault, Hadashi couldn't help but feel responsible.
He kept himself from the crushing disappointment by remembering that there was always the Hexwizard Tournament. Then they could really show what Mahoutokoro was made of.
