It was Friday.

Right after classes had been let out for the day and Kim had gone to a meeting of the T/D Club was holding.

This time it had been a dare session and he'd been dared to cast the Knockback Jinx on one of the three people he'd said he'd cast it on in an earlier truth question. Kim thought about it for a few moments. This would be tricky as they weren't allowed to cast spells at other students, unless it was at the dueling club or it was otherwise allowed by the professors. Still, people broke rules all the time. It was just a matter of not getting caught in the process of doing so.

Thinking about it, Kim decided it wasn't too much of an issue. It wasn't as if he was going to engage in a duel or anything with his target. He was just going to get off the spell and leave, whether it hit or not didn't matter. All his dare had said was to cast it, it hadn't mentioned that he needed to succeed or not. As for the target, well he already had the person in mind, almost immediately after getting the dare. Although it had been tempting to choose Ali......

Or even Hana-chan, he'd gone directly for Trickster.

Yes, that was what Kim was now calling Pierre. Clown seemed too common and he didn't find him funny like that.

On the other hand, Pierre was a prankster or a trickster. The reason why he didn't use prankster was because Kim also fell into that category. And didn't want to call himself by the same term he used for Pierre. Pranksters were more fun and tricksters were more annoying and therefore, that was why Pierre was now called Trickster by him. Ever since the CCP errand, Kim had been keeping an eye on the boy and had a general knowledge of all his classes.

As a result, he knew when Trickster would be coming out, and crept towards the area. Once the boy left the classroom, he tended to go to a certain place and stay there for a time. That was when Kim would make his move. Right when Trickster was going to sit down, as he'd be at his most vulnerable then. And would be off balance a bit at the time. Everything worked out the way he had thought it would and when the time came, Kim grasped his wand.

"Flipendo!" The pink haired boy incanted.

He waved his wand, using the correct movement and knew his pronunciation was correct at the time.

A blue flash came out of the end of his wand as the spell headed towards the unsuspecting Pierre. Unfortunately, Trickster seemed to have luck on his side and must have sensed the spell coming towards him. Before he could retaliate or do much of anything, Kim quickly turned around and fled the scene. He wasn't sure if Trickster had seen him or not, as he'd been in hiding all this time, but it didn't matter. The dare had been completed and he was done!

All that remained was to claim his point from the club, which he fully intended on doing as soon as possible.

Last class of the day, and Piérre was exiting the class on the coattails of a Ravenclaw student that he was pestering for notes on the lesson that day. It wasn't that the kid hadn't been paying attention in the class... he had just.. uhm...

Well he had fallen asleep with Figaro cozied up on his chest, and he had stayed asleep for nearly the entire lecture. So, having woken up to the sounds of people moving around, getting up, and generally getting ready to leave for the day and tend to their own personal endeavors for the evening, the Jester launched to his feet, swept everything into a satchel, and then tried his darndest to find someone who would be willing to gift him with some notes. If he couldn't find someone to gift him notes...?

Well, the Jester was exceptionally good at keeping his ear to the ground. A trade in information would not be terribly out of order. People had a innate desire to know what was going on. They had a desire to know what others were doing...

Because that was the nature of mankind, unfortunately. Piérre just so happened to be exceptionally good at finding those little ins and outs of what others were doing and what they were likely thinking.

It wasn't stalking. Just... observationally curious of other people and in both their tendencies and habits.

The deal was made. If the Jester could obtain information on a certain girl that the other student had a crush on and would send him an owl concerning her thoughts on him, then he would send an owl back with a carbon copy of his notes for the Jester's use. Simple enough, and catering to the betterment to both parties.

So, with a small hum and a slipping into the rest of the crowd, Piérre went to the one and only place where he was most certain to run into the people that he was pursing information on: the Hogwarts Corridors. There, the yellow clad Piérre cozied up behind a textbook between two suits of armor, listening with half an ear open. Figaro was away, doing some scouting of his own and being sure to catch the attention of any females around so that Piérre could assess if they were the ones that he needed to talk to or not. While standing around idly, Piérre decided that in order to continue a natural appearance, he would have to subtly adjust his position and even go so far as to develop another passerby personality to remain even remotely non-suspect.

Crossing the hall and making a small check among the girls that Figaro had managed to attract, Piérre sidled up to a bench and sat down, ready to lean back and slouch into a relaxed poise that would typically indicate the persona of an overconfident jock.

Just as soon as he had slumped down so that his neck was craned uncomfortably on the wall behind him, a flash of blue slammed into one of the suits of the armor on either side of the bench, causing Piérre to jolt with surprise as a knockback jinx seemed to go entirely haywire.

Green eyes lighting with a sparkle, Piérre leapt to his feet and drew his polished yew wand, a piercing emerald gaze sweeping the crowd for signs of guilt. A smile began to spread across the Britalian's features as nothing seemed to meet his gaze. Someone had just tried to do him in, hadn't they? Why, the kid wondered? Someone receiving one of his "bad news" owls about an unfavorable person? But why would they go after him so aggressively?

Hm... well, perhaps that was for them to know and for Piérre to wonder....

Regardless. Someone had tried their best to either embarrass or hurt the kid, but no harm and no foul had come of it. As much as Piérre wanted to try and figure out who was responsible for this act... it would do him no good to dwell on it. With an extended hand, Piérre called his silver bengal to himself as he looked out over the crowd once more. Whoever had done this was no doubt long gone... but he would remember it for the future. Italians had a nasty habit of forming incredible connections; there was a reason why The Family was notoriously founded in Sicily, mainland Italy, and America by both Italians and Italian-Americans.

Rest assured, he would find out through the grapevine. Eventually, he would know a name. He would know a face.

Piérre smiled as a person complimented his fast reflexes, but the boy was only half-listening to the complement and was focusing more on mulling about the kid that was so keen on trying to do him in, and if it would be at all possible to meet this person face to face... if they turned out to be worth Piérre's time, that was.

It wasn't a matter of if. It would be a matter of when.
