Vivienne danced and spun onto the castle grounds, singing, ”La la la la la la la la la la.” She realized she had forgotten to eat a sugar quill that morning. Oh well, she thought. I’ll just eat two when I get back inside. She had plenty enough energy to last without the sugar for now.

She began to get a little dizzy from all the spinning, so she started to hop. She saw someone else follow her onto the grounds. ”Hi,” the person said, waving.

”Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi!” the hyper girl said. ”HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! How are you? Amazing? Great!”

”I’m Vivienne!” she introduced herself. ”I run on sugar! I love singng and dancing! I love cats! And unicorns! And glitter! And rainbows! Ooh, look! A butterfly!” She had gotten distracted by the butterfly that had flown past her. ”So pretty! Now where was I? Oh yes! I remember now! I’m Vivienne! I run on sugar! I love singing and dancing! I—“ She realized she had said all that already. ”I already told you all that! Ooh, look! A puddle!”

She ran over to a puddle and started jumping in it, getting herself and the other person wet. ”Come jump with me! Isn’t this fun?”

She finally stopped after getting very wet and said, ”What’s your name? Tell me about yourself!”

I can already tell that our characters may not get along very well.

All Arabella wanted was a peaceful walk on the castle grounds, some time for her to think quietly. However, the silence was cut short when the sound of a shrill voice rang out into song. Confused, the young girl looked around the corner to see a hyper girl, the same age as her. 'Oh God,' Arabella groaned mentally. 'What do I do? I needed some time to great tactics, but it seems I can't now... Maybe I can sneak away.' But just as soon as the thought emerged, the singing girl noticed her.

Panicking, Arabella quickly greeted the girl with her soft and quiet voice. "Hi-" was all she could muster before the girl broke out into a deranged series of "Hi"s. ”Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi!” the hyper youth shouted. ”HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! How are you? Amazing? Great!”

Arabella was becoming greatly overwhelmed by the energy of this other witch. What could she do? She wasn't even sure how to reply to someone with such a hyper mood.

”I’m Vivienne!” the hyperactive girl introduced herself. ”I run on sugar!" 'Obviously.' "I love singing and dancing! I love cats! And unicorns! And glitter! And rainbows!" The girl was speaking at the speed of a Firebolt broomstick. "Ooh, look! A butterfly!”[ A butterfly flew past, distracting Vivienne for a moment. This girl must really be- "So pretty! Now where was I? Oh yes! I remember now! I’m Vivienne! I run on sugar! I love singing and dancing! I—" The girl paused. "I already told you all that! Ooh, look! A puddle!"

Arabella's eyes instantly looked to the puddle ahead of them. 'Oh God,' her mind dreaded. 'Don't tell me she's really going to-' It was too late. The girl leap into the puddle with such force she caused water and some mud to splash all over the bottom of Arabella's dress.

”Come jump with me! Isn’t this fun?” Arabella didn't say a word. She looked down at her dress as it was soaked with water with specs of mud speckled across it. Her face was starting to heat up with anger.

Arabella Edwards did not like to boast about being royalty like her elder sister. She liked to keep quiet about it and hoped to be treated as any regular witch or wizard would be. However, there were times where Arabella would lose her temper with another and will proclaim her royal status to sort others back into their place, even though she doesn't have any royal power outside of the Moor in which she came from. This is one of those times where Arabella was about to lose her temper.

Vivienne finally stopped plundering around in the puddle. ”What’s your name? Tell me about yourself!” Arabella looked to the hyper girl with such anger she might as well had been a Slytherin.

"You desire to know my name?" she said coldly, her voice being more audible than before. She was trying to keep her cool, but it seemed impossible. "I am Princess Arabella Juliana Edwards of Dartmoor, daughter of Edmund Herald Edwards, and I inquire an apology! Your anarchical and ludicrous behavior has ruined one of the finest materials only affordable to the wealthiest of the wealthy! Have you anything to say for yourself??"

I suggest in the future to not control the actions of my character. In my reply, I am only repeating what your character has done so I am able to put my character's thoughts and actions around it and used different wording so I don't copy what you've said. It is also said in the guidelines not to control other people's characters.

Sorry! Also sorry you find my character annoying!

”I’m— I’m sorry.” Vivienne said, holding back tears. ”I wanted to make new friends...but—“ Vivienne started to cry. She felt guilty for ruining Arabella’s dress. She felt sad that Arabella didn’t like her. She tried to remind herself that she didn’t care what others thought of her, but she still felt bad. She hugged Arabella. ”I’m sorry!” she said through tears.
She let go and started to walk away singing, ”Hamela Hamela Hamela Hamela ha ha.” She stopped walking so she could dance.
Hamela Hamela Hamela Hamela ha ha.
Hamela Hamela Hamela Hamela ha ha.
Hamela Hamela Hamela Hamela ha ha.
Hamela Hamela Hamela Hamela ha ha.
Hamela Hamela Hamela Hamela ha ha.
Hamela Hamela Hamela Hamela ha ha.
Hamela Hamela Hamela Hamela ha ha.“

She dropped to her knees, as it was part of the choreography.
She rose singing, ”Ha ha ha ha ha ha
ha ha ha ha ha ha”

”Hamela Hamela Hamela Hamela ha ha.
Hamela Hamela Hamela Hamela ha ha.
Hamela Hamela Hamela Hamela ha ha.
Hamela Hamela Hamela Hamela ha ha.“

”That was ‘The Mourning,’ the sad Hufflepuff said to Arabella. ”We sang that song when Mufasa died and we thought we lost Simba, but I thought it was appropriate. Do you know what I’m talking about? I’m talking about The Lion King play I was in. You probably don’t care though.”

She walked away, softly singing ‘The Mourning.”

This is not how I expected this rp to go. I thought we would become friends.
The Mourning
What did you mean by “shrill voice”? Vivienne (like me) is a very good singer and if you had said that aloud it would’ve really hurt her feelings.

Oh, no, no, no. No need to apologize! And it isn't me who's annoyed, it is the character.
And yeah, I didn't entirely expect it myself, but I had to go with how the character would react, not me.
I'm a nice Hufflepuff. My character is not. ;^;

Hearing the girl apologize was enough to satisfy Arabella, until Vivienne started to cry. She opened her mouth to speak, but the girl continued on. ”I’m sorry!” she choked, tears streaming. Arabella went to pry her off, but the girl removed herself. Then the other began to sing again as she started to walk away. ”Hamela Hamela Hamela Hamela ha ha," Vivienne sang. Arabella blinked with confusion. 'What on Earth is she singing?' That's when Vivienne stopped walking and started to dance instead.

Arabella was completely unsure how to react. What in the world was going on? Who was this girl? Vivienne continued to sing "Hamela Hamela Hamela Hamela ha ha" over and over again. Arabella had no idea what she should do. The song may have sounded interesting, but she couldn't find it entirely necessary, and the dancing only made her feel more awkward. She jumped when the other suddenly dropped to her knees and then started to rise back up singing "Ha ha" repeatedly. 'Where is Augusta when you need her?' she thought. She was starting to hope her elder sister would show up to break the awkwardness, though it wouldn't be in a kind manner in anyway.

When the girl finally stopped singing her song, she looked to the Ravenclaw and said, ”That was ‘The Mourning.' We sang that song when Mufasa died and we thought we lost Simba, but I thought it was appropriate." ' . . . What? Who was Mufasa? Who was Simba?' "Do you know what I’m talking about? I’m talking about The Lion King play I was in. You probably don’t care though.” 'Lion King?
What on Earth is that?'
Vivienne turned and finally began walking away from Arabella. The royal was so lost in confusion, she didn't know where to start. "The what?" she spoke out loud in a now soft and quiet voice. It seemed that her temper had eased away quickly and was replaced wit extreme confusion.

I was talking about your character. My character is basically my twin, except I’m less hyper and outgoing.

"The what?" Arabella said. It seemed she was no longer angry and now she was just confused.

”You don’t know what The Lion King is?” Vivienne asked. ”Simple question— are you a pureblood? Because if you are it would make sense for you to not know what it is. It’s a movie that came out before I was born. They made it into a play. It takes place in Africa with animal characters. The king of the pride lands is a lion named Mufasa. His son is a cub named Simba. Simba has an evil uncle named Scar. After Mufasa explains that one day Simba will be king, and everything the light touches will be his, he can’t wait to be king. ‘Oh, he just can’t wait to be king!’” Vivienne sang. ”Sorry I was quoting one of the songs. Anyway, remember that evil uncle Scar? Well Scar kills Mufasa and manipulates Simba into thinking it was his fault. Simba runs away and tries to start a new life. His friends Nala finds him and tries to convince him to come back, because while he was gone, Scar had become king and let the hyenas run free. There was no more food for the lionesses to hunt. Simba refuses to come back until a monkey named Rafiki and a vision of his father come and convince him. ‘Remember who you are. You are my son and the one true king.’ Long story short, Scar’s gone and Simba’s king. Sorry, were you looking for a short summery?” Vivienne smiled, happy she had been forgiven. Now she hoped she and Arabella could become friends.

I spent most of this post explaining what The Lion King was 🤣
