This morning, Ivy was awake early.
She ran a comb through her long, curly red hair, washed her face and brushed her teeth thoroughly. The last thing she needed was to make someone retreat because of her stinky morning breath.
Everyone had seen Ivy come through the Great Hall last night. It seemed to Ivy that they were already pulling the pretend-like-she’s-not-even-here card. Ivy wouldn’t try beyond that.
Quickly, she made her way down to the Great Hall, book bag over her shoulder, and what books didn’t fit in the bag, she held in her arms. After what felt like longest walk ever, Ivy had almost made it to the Great Hall.
Then a large body slammed into her, hard. Books went flying out of hand, and Ivy’s butt came down on a hard thud against the cobblestone ground.
“Sorry about that.” A not-so-sorry voice said.
“Watch where you’re going,” Ivy growled. She would of normally said sorry and apologise for bumping into the person, but today she just wasn’t in a good mood, plus the person had knocked her books flying. She stood up, brushed herself off and picked up the horrendous stare of her books. She glared with disgust at the unknown person, before marching into the Great Hall.

Ivy's butt hurt like mad. It wasn't her fault, though. It was because of that stupid Slytherin girl.
Ivy spun around on her heel, only seven steps into the Great Hall, her glare facing the sneaky snake. "Well, maybe instead of rubbing your eyes raw, you could of been looking where you were going," Ivy said spitefully. "And if you Slytherins didn't stay up all night partying, then everyone would get much more sleep, including you." She pointed her finger at the embarrassed girl.
Ivy spun the other way and stalked over to the long Ravenclaw table, slumped on the wooden bench and clenched her fists angrily. She wasn't having a good first day at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, that was definitely clear to anyone.

"You know, sarcasm can be weird, sometimes," Ivy said, strangely calm. "Sometimes, you know exactly when someone is about to use it. Other times, you don’t. And I know you're using it right this very minute." Ivy folded her arms, still keeping her face calm and without emotion. People were starting to stare.
Ivy attempted to stay quiet until the young Slytherin's rant was over, but as she came to a conclusion, she just had to interrupt. "What did you just say?" She asked coldly. "Well, excuse me all over the place, but have you not noticed me silently walking through the corridors, staring into space while you and your friends gossip about anything and everything?" A single tear rolled down Ivy's face, but she wiped it away with a quick brush of her hand before continuing her monologue. "I have spent weeks waiting for a friend. A single friend, that's all ever wanted. But you," she spat. "You were just determined to make my life at Hogwarts, my only chance at making friends, miserable."
Ivy gave the young girl a sly smile and stood up. "You want me to apologise? Well then, allow me to do the pleasure. Clearly you deserve it." Still smiling, she reached a hand towards the Slytherin and grabbed her white, clean collar. Without another word said, Ivy shoved the girl as hard as she could, causing her to tumble to the cobblestone ground, hard.
