A New Friend pet

Kayla bombarded excitedly in the shop. She was getting her first pet! Or rather sh3 was deciding on a first pet. Hre brother had carefully given her only twenty gallons to spend, so if there was anything over that, oh, well, things happened. She approached an old woman by the counter, walking at an appropriate pace as she looked at all the creatures around her.
"Hello, miss! How are you? I'm Kayla, I'd really like a pet, is there anything I can get for under twenty galleons?" Kayla asked politely, once again revealing a lot more information that she should. But the lady smiled, it wasn't forced or annoyed, it was warm, comforting.
"Hello, Kayla dear. I'm quite alright, thank you,"[/color][/b] she said. "Under twenty galleons? Well I can hardly say, why don't we just have a look around, hmm dear?"
"Ok Miss! Do you guys sell spiders here?" Kayla asked enthusiastically. The girl didn't like spider, but she had a few friends who liked them, maybe a few that would want one.
"Yes, we do have, quite the few. Is that what you want?" Miss Anita mused, directing Kayla towards some cages.
"Oh ick. No way, I'm scared of spiders. They creep me out, Miss," Kayla informed Anita, Anita wasn't bothered by this statement, she chuckled.
"Not every one sees the wonder in one of these little guys," Anita said, proudly looking at the spiders.
"Not for me though. Anything else I can get?" Kayla asked stepping a bit away from the spiders cage.
"What animals do you like, in particular? An animal chooses their person just as much as the wand to the wizard." Anita smiled wisely.
Kayla thought about this for a moment. "Your right, I guess. I like fluffy animals- so I can hold them!" Kayla exclaimed, before cowering in embarrassed from her sudden voice raise.
"How about a bunny then? There are quite a few that would suit you," Anita said, leading her over to a different part of the shop.
"Aw so cute! Can I hold one?" Kayla asked, googling at the fluffy rabbits.
"Yeah, of course! Here-" Anita handed Kayla a black and white bunny, which reminded her strangely of Oreos. But as soon as it got in her arms, it started moving, kicking slightly, too.
"Oh," Kayla said bluntly, faintly disappointed, also slightly sad. She handed the bunny back to Anita, who put it back in the bunny koop.
"It's alright dear. Is there anything else?" Anita asked, her voice dripping with sympathy. Kayla shook her head and wiped her eyes- fragile girl, Kayla was.
"No, thank you, Miss Anita. I think I need to- hey, what're those?" Kayla asked suddenly, looking at the corner of the shop, where a clad of slender black and white furry creatures layed.
"Those? Those are ferrets, dear. European ones." Anita guided Kayla to the strange, yet adorable creatures.
Kayla looked at them in awe before poking a finger through the bars.
"Darling I wouldn't do that if I were you-"
But a single ferret looked lazily at her finger, before liking in, then setting its head down lazily. Kaylas sadness faded immediately, from sadness, it turned to excitement.
"How much at these? Whats its gender?" Kayla asked excitedly.
Anita chuckled, "Fourteen galleons, two sickles. And that one's a little girl. Young one, she is too. Are you planning on adopting her?" Anita added.
"Heck yeah! I mean..uh, yes of course. She seems nice," Kayla corrected herself quickly. Anita, pretending to not have heard Kaylas slip, walked behind the counter.
"What will you name her?" Anita called to Kayla, who was fumbling with her purse.
"I dunno, Nancy? She looks like a Nancy," Kayla half-joked. Kayla studied the slender female, the ferret looked right back- before making a small squeaking noice.
"Aha! Got it! Miss, I'd like to name her Squeaky," Kayla exclaimed proudly. Anita nodded respectively.
"That suits a ferret. Thank you, you can take Squeaky out," Anita said to Kayla, accepting the galleons, handing her change, since Kayla only had galleons.
Kayla lifted Squeaky out of the ferret farm, and Squeaky didn't hesitate one bit. She got picked up gracefully, and worked her way up Kaylas arm.
"Hey! Careful..." Kayla said to her new friend, as she climbed up and settled around Kaylas neck like a scarf.
"Shes a sweetheart right?" Anita said sweetly, watching the two get on.
"Yeah," Kayla agreed. "Shes the best."
