History/Background Story: 
Born in London, England, to Mary Kate Ainsworth, née Crawford, and Anthony Edward Ainsworth, two pure-blood wizards.

Her childhood was spent in the family manor, readind books and taking lessons on whatever she could without having her wand, and even studying a bit of the muggle world she found interesting.

Katherine has no siblings to speak of, but has a large extended family, which occasionally visits, specially her maternal grandmother.

As a baby she cried a lot and for long periods of time, slept during the day and was wide awake at night, which is why her parents expected her to be an hyperactive child, but she seemed to calm down as she grew older.

At some point she took to gardening and tried to take care of the plants even if she ended dirtying quite a few robes.

Her mother and father were both Slytherins, and she still isn't quite sure theirs was not an arranged marriage, though she knows that now they love each other, so she felt inclined to follow onto their footsteps and wished to be a cunning snake.

Living in a magical family Katherine knew to expect her owl and wasn't surprised by its arrival, but she was excited nonetheless even if she tried to appear calm and collected.

All in all she has had a normal magical life, maybe blew some things while in the period of accidental magic, or scrapped her knees playing outside, but nothing remarkable has happened, and what does it matter, she's satisfied with her peaceful, and playful, life.

And if she ends in Slytherin, because she may or may not have a selfish streak, no one needs to know the reason.

Personality:
Quiet but not shy, just prefers to avoid troublesome situations, generally, unless she has interests involved.

Enjoys silence, reading and all kinds of music, specially instrumentals.

Childish, but tries not to look like it, gets upset easily, and doesn't forgive any offense.

Usually a calm person, hiding well her reactions, doesn't talk without thinking or acts impulsively. Sensible for her age, but still maturing.

Enjoys sweets and not willing to share, maybe as a result of being an only child.

Likes to take care of her possessions and tries to be respectful to all the adults around her.
