Angela was never into her studying or perhaps her work in any case, she used her lessons as more of social time. However, she'd knew that she couldn't keep up with that when things started to get more serious. Angela had made her way to the library to try and study properly. She decided to have a look at the books, perhaps one could help her or even entice her in.

Angela had never been in the library before and was shocked how grand it was. Bookshelves stretched to the roof with no ladder in site. She would slowly start looking up and down the shelfs trying to see if anything seemed appealing to her. There were many options of what genre books you want. However, Angela had no clue on what to choose. She had not experienced much with reading. Angela always thought of it as boring and something perhaps not the coolest people did but maybe she was too quick to judge.

She was wondering up the Aisles picking up any book which had peculiar titles. After grabbing many books Angela headed to a small seating area not too far away from where she was. She picked up the first book and turned to the first page to start to read. However, she knew it wouldn't be long till she put the book back down.

Abi scanned the bookshelves, not noticing the faint footsteps of someone walking around. Eyes darting from title to title, his frustration growing as the search continued to no avail, yet he pushed on. Thick leather covers decorated with fancy lettering, slick paperbacks, fiction and nonfiction, autibiograpies, informatives- but none of them were what he was looking for.

"Where is that blasted book?" he mumbled, eyebrows furrowed over his ocean-blue eyes. He brushed his wavy black hair out of his face, cocking his head slightly, glancing around for that one title: Magical Creatures and Beast: Vol 1. It has to be here somewhere, he thought to himself. He wasn't big on reading, but his mother always loved the yellowing pages of a good book, filled with information that she hadn't known before- it was like unfolding a mystery, and he intended to follow in her footsteps in order to achieve his dreams. But if he was going to read a book, it might as well be an interesting one.

He sighed, turning to give up his search and leave the library, when a flash of blonde caught the corner of his eye. He turned his head a bit, noticing a girl around his age leaned over a book.

"That's the book," he thought to himself, staring a bit. Glancing around, he took a step towards the girl- he rarely approaches people- much less talk to them; his intimidating appearance typically kept them away. But this was the third time he had gone into the library looking for this book, and there it was, within reach. Shouldn't he learn to talk to people and stand for what he wants, after all? If he continued being a pushover, he would never get what he truly wanted. He would never become the best wizard since the one and only Harry Potter.

I just have to talk to her, he thought, rehearsing what he's going to say in his mind. By this time, he's almost right behind her, staring into the book, speaking up.

"That's my book," he said abruptly.

[quote] As Angela was finely getting into the book, a voice could be heard from beside her. When she turned herself to face them, she saw, a rather short boy Infront of her. He/they had said that the book she was reading was there's? Now Angela was a person who spoke out about stuff, had no limit in what to say it's almost whatever comes to her head she says.

She staired them dead in the eye for a moment, before breathing in before speaking. "Who's to say this is your book? It's a school library, its open for all students. Now if I was you, I'd hurry along before I start cursing out," She'd say getting more aggressive the more she spoke but still speaking quietly. A short temper was what Angela had; she was also not in the mood for people too big for their boots. Their book? What was they talking about.

She'd pick up the book again, almost trying to ignore the persons presence. It was more of a way to rub it in. Who had the book and who hadn't. Angela wasn't the nicest person; well, she is nice when you know her but from the outside she may come of stubborn or obnoxious.

He stayed put, leaning down a bit and turning his head to look at her in the face, his black hair drooping down in front of his face a bit. "It's my book because I say it is. I've been here three times already, and it was always checked out. Now I need it. So, if you don't mind, you can go on and find another book, or we could share. It's your decision." He admitted he was being a bit harsh, but at the moment he didn't care. He needed to learn how to get what he wanted, without worrying about what others thought, and quickly. He didn't want this school to end up like his last one, always being the quiet pushover. Obviously the girl had the spark and could handle words like that, so it was a bit easier on him to spout such words. It's not like he really meant to be rude- it just comes out that way.

He stared into her eyes, not breaking eye contact, his wavy black hair draping over his face a bit, awaiting an answer from her. She seemed a bit fiery, unlike the other timid girls in this school. Maybe they could be friends. They could obviously handle each others snap-backs. Not many could- it took a unique kind of personality to take such words, much less lash back. It was a bit admirable. Interesting. Unique. Something about this girl had him drawn, like the mystery within a book his mother always sought out. A mystery he would slowly unfold between the yellowing pages, but first, he had to get past the first chapter.

[quote]Angela wasn't a fan of holding grudges, she would forget mostly or couldn't care less. However, she wasn't one to back down. Angela was thinking on how to reply, she would not mind sharing the book, but it would be a bit awkward in the same manner. She also was not pleased in the way she had been spoken to, but she could not sorrow because she did the same.

"Trying to be intimidating. What a bluff." She spat out whilst pausing for a moment. "We can share the book for the moment, unless you have a snarky comment to add on?" She'd laugh a bit. Banter was something Angela did a lot however she knew some people could take it the wrong way, but she didn't think the boy was like that.

Reading people was what Angela loved to do. She was trying to guess perhaps things that have happened recently from the body language or more of their personality. From his presents she would assume he was verry outspoken and too some people perhaps intimidating. However, Angela had learnt that it was just a wall. She herself was guilty of it. Pretending to be someone perhaps she wasn't.

Abi cocked his head a bit, holding back a smile. The girl did have some spunk. "I always have a snarky comment to add on," he said, pulling up a chair and sitting down next to her. "But if you think I'm bluffing that much, maybe I don't need to make a comment." He allowed his more outgoing personality to show through, something that rarely ever showed, as it was often misinterpreted.

He was slightly surprised that the girl didn't simply turn him away like the others. It was good to know she wasn't one to blend in with the crowd- her outspoken demeaner caught his interest, and his curiosity towards the girl grew. He was slowly flipping those pages, unfolding her like a mysterious book. But maybe he shouldn't think of people like books. A book's story never changed, never faltered. However, life was different. Unpredictable. Changed with every decision you made, every person you met-

And his story was just about to change.

He turned his head towards the book, glancing at the small words and occasional picture- he didn't need the book this badly, but maybe this was his chance to socialize, make a couple of friends, and prevent being the loner as he always was before. "What's your name?" he asked, glancing up at her again. He kept his words a bit softer than before, not wanting to scare the girl away. Although he doubted he would. If she wasn't scared away by now, she was bound to stick around, right?

[quote]Angela smiled at his remark, it wasn't often she found people like herself. She looked at the book for a moment trying to Rember what bit she had gotten up too. Yet the boy had started to speak so she stopped reading and looked up to him.

" Its Angela, how about you Mister Snarky comments." She raised her eyebrow whilst she spoke. She turned her head back to the book. Perhaps it was on purpose. She was a stubborn person most of the time or sometimes it was an act, but nobody would know.

"I have a question. Perhaps an unusual one but it's a question. Actually, it's not a question. Not trying to come of rude. But who cares if I do. You just don't seem to be like the reading type of person." Angela spoke with almost a harsh tone. However, she could not act all innocent. Angela hated reading but she needed to break that. Perhaps it was the same for him.

Judging people was what Angela did a lot, she almost followed I guess the stereotypes given to people. That wasn't all bad though because some of them are right, but it also meant with her harsh opinions some people disagreed with her and conflict formed.

He chuckled softly, the corners of his mouth turning up into a grin. "The name is Abi. Don't you go around calling me Mister Snarky now," he said playfully. He was about to glance back at the book when she asked another question, causing him to cock his head.

"Oh, I don't, hm?" he slipped his hand into his pocket, pulling out a pair of thin, wire glasses and setting them on the bridge of his nose. "How about now?" he struck a small pose, placing one hand on his hip and the other on the back of his head, pursing his lips slightly. Failing to hold back a smile, his ocean blue eyes twinked with delight, a soft chuckle escaping his lips as he sat back down. "Besides, my mother always said books were windows to the soul and mind. And who am I to doubt a mothers words?" He folded up the glasses again, slipping them into his pocket and wisping away his black hair. Befriending her didn't exactly benefit his academic career- anything that didn't benefit was only a distractor, according to his mother- but for one, he wanted to do something that was just for fun. Talk to people and go to parties and build friendships. Maybe he could get that now.

"And you don't seem like the reading type either. So I could be asking you the same question, Miss Angela." He grinned softly, feeling more and more confortable talking with her, which wasn't a common thing. People were usually hesitant to say things to him, but this girl seemed to say whatever was on her mind. He admired that.

Angela chuckled when Abi had posed. It had reminded her of the stereotypes she believed and with those glasses he may of became one of them. " I see it now Abi, you're a nerd." She'd smile, this was the first time in a while where she had been having a good laugh and perhaps got along fully with somebody.

"You'r not wrong, I'm not the smartest person. " She paused for a moment " What a shock, I know. Apparently reading was my best bet, so here I am." Angela didn't want to seem almost weak, as she spoke her smile faded a bit and a more neutral look took over. She'd look at Abi for a moment, his eyes where Ocean blue and twinkled threw the reflection of the sun. They reminded her about when her and her dad used to go abroad together and swim in the ocean.

"How's your first couple of weeks been at Hogwarts? I'm sure it can't be as bad as your hairline." She looked up at his hair whilst she said it almost pulling a puzzled face. She laughed it off and looked back at the book trying to Remember where she had got up to.

"A nerd?!" he exclaimed, roaring with laughter, but quickly lowering it to a hushed tone as he remembered he was in the library. "That's a first," he took off his glasses and slipped them back into his pocket, smiling wildly.

"What defines how smart someone is?" he asked, looking at her. "Someone could be smart in math, but not in science. Or someone could not be smart in school, but smart in maybe business or art." He shrugged a bit. "Everyone's smart, really. Just in their own way." He glanced at her a bit, noticing her tone darkening. He frowned slightly and was about to say something when her expression quickly changed, asking a question with a puzzled expression before laughing. He smiled in return, deciding not to ask about the previous predicament.

"My hairline is just fine, thank you," he commented with a chuckle, instinctively brushing back his waves. Hogwarts is just fine. My mother told me all about it ever since I got my first instance of magic. I've been learning as much as I can about it since I was a youngster. But..." he looked back down at the book a bit, zoning out slightly, almost talking to himself. "It just seems a little different than what I expected. I don't know what I can do to make everyone proud, and see me as more than just a regular student. You know...?" He stayed like that for a bit, then quickly looked up, wiping the look off his face. "But Hogwarts is one of the best and biggest magic schools, I'm sure I can excel here."
