A letter to home solo

Dear mom and dad (and Linlin, if you're reading!),

I promised to write you a letter as soon as I could, so here it is. It's probably not going to be a very long letter, but I hope you enjoy reading it anyway. You'd be glad to hear that the trip to Hogwarts went well and I arrived safely.

The sorting ceremony was very exciting, and I'm very pleased with my new house, Ravenclaw! Did you know Ravenclaw is for wise and creative children? That's what I've heard, at least. Anyway, I'll do well in my house. I will try to keep you updated.

That was basically all I have to say. As I said, the letter isn't very long, but not a lot has happened yet. I hope you're all doing well!
