It was Myra's first time being in the library at Hogwarts. Walking into the room her eyes widened. There were aisles after aisles filled with books. Walking by the books, Myra couldn't help but feel as if she was in heaven. A particular book caught her eye. She slid the book from the self and turned it to the back. The books here even looked magical. Myra couldn't help but feel like Belle in Beauty and the Beast. She read the summary of the book in her head, The princess of a kingdom was always expected to be proper and lady-like. But why? That's what princess Lilyana wants to know. Yes, she is royalty but why should she have to pretend to be something she's not. Why can't she enjoy the wilderness outside of the castle walls and let her true self be free. She would daydream about a life of adventure for many years, but one day when a pirate ship comes a shore it will bring her daydreams to reality. Now this was a book Myra could definitely enjoy. She loved romance and could definitely get lost in story of this book. She loved Hogwarts of course, but sometimes she wanted a small escape, and this would give it to her. Sadly, she could only get a couple pages in.

Kayla was looking forward to a good day. She wasn't wearing her usual school attire today, she had chosen a more chill outfit, a pale yellow shirt and white sweatpants, an addition of a bunch of loose bracelets up all over her wrists. She had star earing on, that twinkle as she walked in and out of the lazy sunlight. Her hair, on the other hand, looked less elegant. It was slightly damp, making it stick to her neck. She had her favourite purple-and-yellow-bag with her, filled with parchment and quills.

Arriving at the library, to get some work done, Kayla looked around the shelves, running her hands over some dusty copies. She soon found what she was looking for, how easy it was for her to reach the high copies, as tall as she was. She stretched to take the clean, glittery copy, letting it fall into her other hand, while the other arm feel loosely to her side as she walked on to looked for a table. The first she concidered had a bunch of third years, who looked about her height, but she skipped them over, looking for another one. There was another which consisted of a first year, it was a girl. She looked about eleven or twelve, just about Kaylas year.
"Hey, can I join you?" Kayla asked, leaning on the table a little bit, peering at the girl.

Myra had just gotten a couple pages into her new book before someone asked, “Hey, can I join you?” Myra looked up from her book and saw a girl staring at her. She was tall which made Myra think she was older. Her hair was brown and short. It looked a little damp and messy.
“Oh uh, yeah sure,” Myra stuttered out, realizing she was just staring at the girl.
She tore a piece of some paper to use as a bookmark and set her book on the table. Once the girl sat down Myra could see her soft features and the freckles that dusted over her nose. Her shirt was a light yellow. Her wrist was covered with loose bracelets that made a noise every time she moved her arm. She also wore some star earrings that sparkled if you looked at them in the light.
Myra admired her outfit as she thought of hers. She just had a white collared shirt with an oversized blue jumper that has thin white stripes. Her Ravenclaw tie was a little loose around her neck too. She had mom jeans on that were folded at the bottom with some white hightop converse. Her hair was down making her put some behind her ear when it got in her face.
“Uh, what’s your name?” Maeve tilted her head.

Kayla felt delighted as the girl had allowed her to sit, she sat next to the girl, giving her a warm smile, also placing her book down on the table, she gave her book a look of distaste, before putting the smile back on, and turning to the girl.
"I'm Kayla. From Hufflepuff, if it wasn't easy enough to tell," Kayla said, lightly brushing her hand over her overly Hufflepuff aesthetic she had chosen. "And you? I think I've seen you before- at the sorting, right?"
Kayla thought she recognised her long blonde-ish hair. She had a thin scar running along her jaws, as if she had been scratched by something. She had beautiful green eyes. But if you looked a little closer, they were kinda hazel-y. They looked extraordinary and so nice, so...cool to Kayla.
"I like your eyes. They're really, really beautiful," Kayla told the girl in awe, quite unaware about what she was saying. Kayla often talked without meaning to or by accident, or she often simply talked too much; but it was, unfortunately, something uncontrollable in her case.
This girl was clearly shorter than her - not unusual - and it wasn't easy to tell that they were in the same year. This thought didn't trouble Kayla, it made the corners of her mouth twitch nevertheless.

The girl's name was Kayla. Myra smiled as she told her that. She loved the name Kayla, it was super pretty. "I'm from Hufflepuff, if it wasn't easy to tell," Kayla told Myra. She laughed a bit and looked down to Kayla's outfit. She'd already looked at Kayla's outfit but she looked again because of how pretty it looked. Myra couldn't deny that Kayla was pretty too. "And you? I think I've seen you before- at the sorting right?" Kayla asked. Myra scrunched her face as she thought back to the Sorting Ceremony. There were so many first years with her that she wasn't sure if she saw Kayla or not. If she did she probably didn't pay attention since she didn't know her. Out of nowhere Kayla said, "I like your eyes. They're really, really beautiful." Myra's face immediately flushed pink. Her mom would always say something about how pretty Myra's eyes are and she didn't really listen to her mom when she said that, but no that someone else said it she couldn't help but blush at the compliment. "I'm Myra Elises. I'm from Ravenclaw," she pointed at the tie around her neck. She smiled at Kayla before saying, "Thank you for the compliment, your eyes are really pretty too."
The feeling of pride swept through Myra's body. She was happy she met someone so nice, and she wasn't as nervous about talking to other students at the school.

"Thats hard to believe!" Kayla said, shaking her head in disbelief, "I'd expect plenty of people to say you have nice eyes."
Kayla nodded when this interesting girl introduced herself. Myra. Hmm, sounded familiar.
"Ah, a Ravie!" Kayla exclaimed just a little too loud for a library. "Sorry!" she whisper-shouted to some students who scowled at her, it was normal for Kayla to talk just a little too much or a little too loud.
"I only know one Ravenclaw, so it's nice to get to know another!" Kayla said. She was going to say something else, but she was cut short by Myra's compliment about Kaylas eyes.
"Thank you so much! Now thats something I don't get told often. Its usually something about my hair," Kayla admitted with a small smile.

Kayla was beginning to grow fond of Myras presence, she was really nice and was harsh or rude in any way, shape or form. Kaylas eyes suddenly lit up.
"Ooo I have a nickname for you!" Kayla Saud excitedly. "Ok, ok: Rara. Sounds nice?" Kayla asked, she put a dramatic effect in saying this. It did sound quite nice though, Kayla liked giving her friends or new friends nicknames. It was one of the things that symbolised good friendship in her eyes.
