Dear Mom,
School has been a blast so far. I can't believe I would even say that about school, but it's different here. I miss you and I'm sorry I have to be gone for so long. I knew chewy and Maeve can't be the best company to have for a whole school year. I'll be able to see you for breaks though. I hope you get out and hang out with friends a lot. I hate to think that you're home alone while I'm gone. I'm thinking about writing to dad, but I don't think he'll answer. It'll probably take years to get to him from here to America. I miss you lots, and I hope you make the best out of this break from me.
