The Ravenclaw Table 2017-2018
Bryant watched as this all happened before him, as he stayed quiet and observed like he always does. He only got chosen to be in Ravenclaw just a few minutes before, and had sat near the group that was talking. They seemed happy and curious, especially when that girl was making her drawings move. Her last one in particular was a masterpiece to say the least. It looked to be of a winged horse, but looked kind of dead too.
He has only caught a few words that were said about the drawing, and did they call it a thestral? Bryant studied the picture with his different colored eyes for a good few minutes, taking in every detail that he could see of it.
The thing was scary, yes, but also, in a sense, was majestic, beautiful and cool. He looked away, knowing if he shows too much interest, that others might actually take notice of him and start asking questions. Bryant instead, looked at a little inscription etched into the table before him. Not a lot if people would have taken notice if it, except with the probable handful of people. All that was on there was a single line that was vertical and not crooked at all. The line itself was small and not really noticeable.
Bryant looked back up to see if anyone was looking at him, which, thankfully for the moment, nobody was.

The Ravenclaw Table 2017-2018
Amanda pranced into the great hall and located the Ravenclaw table. She sat down next to a boy with different colored eyes. He seemed lost in thought so she decided not to bother him. Amanda looked at all the food and piled her plate high. We never get to eat this luxuriously at home, she thought. The food here tasted so delicious. When she finished eating, Amanda began observing her fellow Ravenclaws. They all seemed nice, having animated conversations with one another. There was a girl who made her drawings move. Gee, Amanda thought. I’m behind everyone else, I suppose. She traced her name in cursive on the table with her finger, slipping into her thoughts. Her sister, Leslie, was at Ilvermorny back in America. It would have been nice to have her here, to help get me settled, Amanda thought to herself. She was glad though, to be going to Hogwarts. Apparently it’s one of the best wizarding schools in the world, not to mention that it’s in England. Amanda smiled to herself. Everyone here has those fun British accents. Maybe I’ll get one after a while, Amanda mused. She glanced again at the boy next to her. Plucking up her courage, she tapped on his shoulder. “Hey,” she said. “I’m Amanda. What’s your name?”
“Oh, I may be on the side of the angels, but don't think for one second that I am one of them.”

The Ravenclaw Table 2017-2018
Bryant had noticed a girl sitting next to him, he liked that she respected his little bubble he had from everyone, and went about on his own business. After a while, he did eat the food in front of him. And it was safe to say that he has never had such wonderful food as this. It can even rival his mother's cooking, which is a feat in itself.
A small smile crept on his face until the girl that was sitting next to him tapped him on his shoulder and introduced herself. His cheeks gone red as he tried to look away. He doesn't have the luck of not having people notice him. Even moreso, he isn't the type of person to talk, as in use his voice as casually as others would. He thinks of using ones voice is something that only someone who truly he can trust can hear. It is not a curse or charm of why he won't speak. It's just that he has trust issues.
With a small sigh that escaped his lips, he brought out his wand and wrote in the air until it spelled his name. "Bryant Engals." Though, he thinks this girl is different from the others. Was it his imagination or did she have a different tone of accent than the other kids here?

The Ravenclaw Table 2017-2018
Amanda was a bit startled when the boy responded. His eyes were shockingly beautiful, especially the contrast between the colors. Amanda felt her face flush and sensing that he wanted to be left alone, said, “Nice to meet you, Bryant. Sorry if I interrupted you.” She turned her face away, letting her hair fall in front of it. Amanda sighed. Why did she always have to be so awkward around others? Why couldn’t she just be popular like her sister? She picked up some sweets and popped them into her mouth. Suddenly feeling homesick, Amanda rubbed her eyes. This would be her first time being away from home for a long time. She was only eleven, after all. She would have to get used to it though, so Amanda pushed her hair out of her face and regained her composure. She swiveled her glance around the room, looking at her fellow students. They were a lively bunch, for the most part. Amanda felt a hint of a smile creep across her face when she thought that maybe someday, she too would feel like Hogwarts was her home away from home. Curious, Amanda cast a furtive glance over in Bryant’s direction.

Bryant shook his head, apologetically, when she said that she was sorry for interrupting him. She kind of seems like him, in a way. Different from everyone. She certainly doesn't strike him as someone from England. The accent... It was so different from any that he has heard.
He turned his head back to his food as he ate. He has always wondered what it would be like away from home, but now that he is here, surrounded by strangers, he can't help but actually be kind of scared. Bryant has never been around so many people before. He was way out of his comfort zone.
He took some deep breaths to try and calm down, which took a lot. At one point, he was staring at the girl that had started up a conversation with him, only to catch her staring at him as well. He held his breath, as if he was a deer caught in the headlights.
As he looked at her, he could see that she has a lot on her mind as well. "Um..." The first word that has came out of his mouth in such a long time, and it was 'um'. He tried to find the courage to speak, but instantly went back to silent mode before looking away.

Amanda watched the boy named Bryant. He seemed nice, but very quiet and secluded. He turned around and caught her looking at him. She blushed. He turned away after almost saying something. Amanda smirked. So he was shy too. Well, at least she wasn’t the only one. She spent the next few minutes trying to figure him out. He seemed smart and very observant. He definitely didn’t like attention. Amanda wondered if he had many friends. He must not get out a lot. He’s probably from somewhere around here, too. Most people were. Amanda gave up trying to deduce him after a little while. She wasn’t Sherlock Holmes, after all. He was an enigma, and sometimes certain enigmas are meant to stay that way, unsolved. He was kind of like her, though. Amanda couldn’t quite place what it was though. Just different. She played with her hair, thinking about classes. She had some catching up to do. She should probably go do some homework, although that was definitely not the most fun option out there. Amanda sighed and slowly stood up. Throwing one last glance in Bryant’s direction, she waved in case he would notice and left the Great Hall.

The Ravenclaw Table 2017-2018
Bryant had seen Amanda blush, turn red when they locked eyes before he had turned away. His hand went up to his eyes. One was yellow, as the other one was grey. These eyes had put him out as different and usually was met with a fist to his face from the muggle bullies back before he came to Hogwarts. But here, it seems that other people are attracted to it. Well, even if it was just one girl that blushed when seeing him, he shouldn't just jump to conclusions.
Bryant let out a small sigh as he used the corner of his eyes to look at the girl, to see if she was still looking at him. Which she was. Was it his imagination, or was she smiling? He couldn't tell from how he was sitting and just looking at the corner of his eyes. Then curiosity got the best of him as he turned his head to look at her again. This time, she was playing with her hair, then getting up and waving at him before leaving the Great Hall.
Bryant actually waved back at her and then looked around at the other people. He studied them and waited to see the others, for he was very observant and studied people to see who exactly they are.

The Ravenclaw Table 2017-2018
After being sorted into Ravenclaw, Hengist sat at the table, being welcomed and congratulated by his fellow housemates. Hengist smiled meekly, thanking them for the welcome and quietly sat down. He was still very uncomfortable being among such a large gathering of people. Still, he was happy to have most of the eyes off of him and started filling his plate, due to how hungry he now felt not having eaten since before the train.
As he ate, he listened to the conversations going on around him. Mostly just first years like him making small talk and awkward introductions. There were a few conversations that caught his attention, but he did not speak up. Hengist was very aware how abrasive and blunt he comes off in conversation, which is why he grew up with few real friends. Still, he was rethinking his earlier thoughts about not being concerned with which house he was sorted into. It seemed like there may be a few in this house who could tolerate his personality. Maybe even people who understood his obsession with learning. He was still nervous, though, and did not make any first moves. Right now, he wasn't too concerned with conversation due to eating the delicious food before him.

The Ravenclaw Table 2017-2018
Lucia walked over to the table and sat down looking around before taking out her drawing supplies. She didn't want anyone noticing her because everyone loved her art and would ask her to draw stuff for them. She took out her markers and began to set them in a line for use. She put them in rainbow order with black white grey and other none rainbow colors at the end.She then took out her sketch book and flipped to an empty page. She set it on the table and then searched for her pencil. She found her pencil and began to draw.she was drawing the great hall. She didn't miss a detail at all.
As she was drawing she saw someone come to the table. She ignored that they were right next to her and she continued to draw. While she was drawing she could tell the boy was quite new. She was a first year but she could tell. She was wearing her head phones so she took them off.
She then looked over at him as she set down her sketch book. She then tapped him on the shoulder and asked "Uhh...how are you doing?"

The Ravenclaw Table 2017-2018
Happily eating, Hengist was now drowning out all conversation. He vaguely noticed movement of of the corner of his eye, but didn't pay it any mind. He was far too busy shoveling spaghetti in his mouth. He then felt a tap on his shoulder and heard someone say "Uhh...how are you doing?"
He looked over and managed to mumble out a "Hmm?" with the ends of several pieces of pasta still sticking out his mouth and sauce on his face. Hengist was not exactly "graceful" at the table and never really bothered with table manners. He saw the girl trying to talk to him, a girl with black hair. Although he immediately regretted his attempt at talking when some sauce sputtered out his mouth and landed right on the paper she was drawing on.
Hengist couldn't believe it. Already he'd made a fool of himself. Hasn't even said one word yet and he just ruined this girl's drawing. Embarrassed beyond belief, he quickly bit off the last of the pasta in his teeth, wiped his mouth, mumbled out a "Sorry, sorry, I didn't mean to..." and tried to wipe the mess he made off the girl's drawing, but only succeeded in making it worse. Great. Hengist, giving up and, without dignity, said in defeat, "I made it worse....sorry, I'll go to another seat if you want..."
