There’s a pool in the dungeon. You have to go through the kitchen to find it. And if you swim to the very bottom, a tunnel will lead you to the Chamber of Secrets. That’s where Ravenclaw’s lost diadem is hiding.

There must have been a waiting period for when Ravenclaws grew their wit and cleverness because Jordyn clearly hadn’t gotten hers yet. She’d been convinced, by an older student, not only that these locations were real and accessible through one another. Not only that but they'd dared her to retrieve the lost diadem that was very much not where they’d said it was. And if she found it, it would prove she was a real Ravenclaw. How they got to decide when they weren't even in Ravenclaw was the real mystery but again, Jordyn was still working on her cleverness.

“I’m not lost,” she tried to convince herself. She took a right, and found a door that wouldn’t open. “I’m not lost.” Left turn, a blacked out painting whose subject was out visiting another painting.

“I’m not… lost?” She could hear her footsteps echoing now and it was getting colder. “I have no idea where I am.” Or how to get back. She was afraid of trying to retrace her steps for fear of getting more lost. But if she stayed here, who knew when someone would find her.

The faintest sound in the distance spooked her and sent her fleeing in the opposite direction. Whatever her faults, the girl could run. If only she could pay attention to where she was going. “OOMPH!”

“I’m sorry! I’m so, so sorry!”

Impact with @Jordyn Fletcher

Simon was glad to be back at Hogwarts for several reasons. He had missed his friends, first and foremost. It was odd in the Summer waking up and knowing he wouldn't see AngelFyre McCubbin or Clair Fernandez or the others. It was odd not walking these now familiar corridors and traveling the streets of London once more. But perhaps what was most difficult of all was to leave magic temporarily behind.

Sure, if he wanted to know something about the wizarding world, he could stop at Flourish and Blotts in Diagon Alley and see if they had a book on the topic, but that was a risk. Even Flourish and Blotts didn't have the kind of varied inventory of books that could match the ones in Hogwarts' Library. Simon was glad to be back and had gone to the Library twice already since school came back in session. This time, he had returned a book about dragons and had borrowed one about magical medicine. He signed up to be part of the healers internship this year and he wanted to know as much as he could about the subject. It was one of interest to him but also he wanted to help out the new nurse in any way he might be fit to do so.

Simon was just placing the book into his bag, his head down, when BAM, he collided with something - or someone and the book fell out of his hands. He looked up to see a girl there, shorter than he, and realized she seemed to be in a rush. "Are you alright?" he asked her, in a low concerned sort of voice. He was a dhampir, after all, and with that came strength and the last thing he wanted to do was hurt someone. It was someone he didn't recognize and he figured that probably meant she was a first year as he recognized most of the students these days with the help of being both a prefect and social.

He reached his hand out to make sure she kept her balance and then leaned down to retrieve his book.

Be kind to one another. (*iNPC is Miles Thatcher)

For a teenage boy who at least didn’t appear much older than her, he sure was solid. If she hadn’t seen him, she’d have sworn she’d run into a wall. “Yeah, I think so. Thank you and sorry again.”

Once on her feet, Jordyn felt the throb in her backside that told her she’d have a nice bruise where she’d fallen. Nothing the school’s matron couldn’t help with. “I guess I got spooked and stopped paying attention to where I was going.” She’d been scared dung-less. No guessing necessary.

“Let me get that.” Being that she was shorter, it gave her the advantage of being closer to the floor and having to reach or bend down as much. As her hand closed over the spine, she couldn’t stop herself from reading the cover. “Medicine?”

Study material perhaps? He couldn’t be practicing already, could he? She wanted a closer peek at the cover to see if it was muggle medicine or wizarding medicine he was studying and would have if she hadn’t remembered that the book didn’t belong to her. “Oh, sorry. I didn’t mean to be nosey. Here you go.”

“I’ve probably bothered you enough as it is but I'm a little lost. I was looking for… something but I’m starting to think it isn’t down here.” Something wasn’t exactly a helpful clue for her assault victim. Honestly, it embarrassed her, the idea of admitting she was looking for something that likely didn’t exist anymore. She’d known that before being convinced to go look for it but older students could be very convincing. She so badly wanted to be a “real” Ravenclaw that she decided to take a chance. “I was told that Ravenclaw’s diadem could be located if I went through the kitchen and swam through the bottomless pool… through a tunnel that would take me to…” Wait, how did it go again?

Jordyn decided to shut up. If she kept talking, she’d only look like more of a fool because even she had to admit that saying it back out loud like that really made it sound like a load of hogwash.
