What have I just gotten myself into... Emma thought as Evelyn ranted questions to her, expecting answers. Emma grew a bit suspicious, maybe she had found out. She was pelting questions at her in an odd way, or maybe just passionately. Either way, she was happy to have grown close to her. It made her wonder if things would still be the same if she had admitted to her, would they go from friends to frenemies?

The Ravenclaw imagined her face when she broke the news to her. Would she run expecting another prank, or laugh perhaps? Or maybe they could actually organize something, like sophisticated people? Both of them were acceptable in her book, though she didn't want to be feared, not more than she wanted to in a crowd full of people. Never would she be seen going Black Friday shopping with her Muggle mother, it was so easy to get lost.

Emma laughed as she was thrown not one, or two, but multiple, at least five questions. She continued to listen as Evelyn spoke about the prank war, something like the one she had been hoping for. "One, prank wars are amazing. They never end until someone flakes. Two, I definitely have ideas, have you ever tried going to the shop... Weasley's Wizard Wheezes I believe it's called, and we aren't getting ahead of ourselves, you stalker." She laughed once more at her determination.

They were going to do a prank war! She bounced on her toes, this was going to be super exciting! Two on one might be a little unfair but they'll probably get back up if they need it. Emma was just full of ideas! She hadn't heard of Weasely's Wizardly Weezes before but that was to be expected she assumed. It seemed like she had done a couple before though. Maybe she knew the prankster? Evelyn asked as much.

"You prank right? You seem to have a lot of knowledge about this kind of thing, maybe you know the prankster? It'll make things so much easier!" She strategically ignored the stalker comment. If she didn't bring it up then Emma might forget about that. No use trying to get a job at the ministry with a criminal record.

She has tons of good stories though. Evelyn decided that if she was asked that she'd talk about. First back their plotting. "Do you know where we should start? Maybe there's a black market sort of thing for gossip? It happens in the movies. Are movies accurate to real life? Breaking out suddenly into song sounds fun. I can see why people would do it at least."

Emma nodded when she asked if she pranked, she couldn't say no. Asking if she pranked and knew the prankster were two different things, one making her very suspicious. Mhm, she knows. She thought to herself.

"Do you know where we should start? Maybe there's a black market sort of thing for gossip? It happens in the movies. Are movies accurate to real life? Breaking out suddenly into song sounds fun." The Hufflepuff spoke as she recalled leaving a fantasy. Something like you would have seen in High School Musical or a Disney princess movie.

The Ravenclaw didn't have a spot to start. Where would they go when they were truly looking for herself? Naturally, she skipped this question. "Unless you mean the gigantic bulletin board on the ground floor, I have no idea. I don't really get into gossip that much, I was once involved in a bunch of girl drama at my old school. Worst mum pep talk ever." She shuddered slightly recalling her previous memory of her mother telling her she didn't need friends, like that anyway.

"I do prank, but how did you even get to that room? Also, I don't think I know them." She added to her statement, hoping to leave that part out, but it seemed the right thing to say. "I saw you walk out with a note, where'd you get it?" As Emma spoke, words came from her head. I should be a detective when I get older.

"I saw you walk out with a note, where did you get it?" Emma was rather astute! She would've laughed if not because of the fact they were in the middle of a serious conversation. It was like one of those black and white movies that her mother adored. The one with the detectives.

"The note? Oh! I found it near where I usually sit. I thought the wind or one of the owls might've blown it over so I came to tell them that it had gotten lost and that they should probably try again. Getting stood up is the worst, you know? But the room was empty so I checked the corridor to see if people were coming. Then the next thing I know I was getting bombed! Maybe the person who sent the note sent another to change the time? That would make sense. I hope the smoke clears out though before they come."

She wrinkles her nose at the thought of somebody innocent to the impending prank war getting assaulted by the ungodly smell that was still permeating from the room. After her tirade she considered what they'd do in the prank war. With Emma's help she'll be able to do get back at the meanie.

Heyo, decided to add this after a bit. The better house thread can be our first meeting if you agree. What order do you want the other threads to be in?

"Maybe it wasn't blown by the wind or something, maybe another Hufflepuff did it?" Emma imitated the look of a detective when they stroked their chins. She didn't know if a beard was supposed to be there or not, but it sure helped getting her tangled in the web of lies that seemed impossible to get out of now. "What are the odds of the wind knocking it on a seat?"

She listened to Evelyn explain how she had been pranked. Even after she had finished she still felt a bit guilty. Looking back at the note she had placed, she wondered if it had been a good time to plant the note. It was a bit unusual that she could memorize every individual word she had scribbled down. What would have happened if the note would've ended up there minutes, maybe even hours later than she had expected?

Curious, yet slightly worried about how vengeful she was, Emma asked her a question. She tried to put a bit of emphasis on it to make herself sound trustworthy. "Ooh, what are you planning on doing? I'm definitely in." She looked back at the door that was definitely not soundproof judging from the noticeable brown smog coming out of it.

Yeah, I completely agree that The Better House should be first, then maybe this and then the Hidden Hallway. What do you think?

Evelyn laughed when Emma started to stroke her chin. It looked so absurd that she couldn't help it. She didn't discredit the wind theory though. Emma was right, it was more likely for it to get knocked to the floor or on somebody's dish then a seat only about a foot wide. Because she felt it was a rhetorical question she didn't answer. She then brought up what they were doing again by giving her full support. Evelyn thought about a moment before shrugging.

"Should we just prank people until we get the right one? It seems a bit mean but I can't think of a better way to find out who did it considering we don't have anything to go off of."

She followed Emma's line of sight towards the door. The dung bomb definitely didn't seem like it was going to dissipate any time soon. There was still the putrid smoke curling around the door frame. Silently she compared it to a dementor and shivered. At least dementors didn't stink five ways to tomorrow.

"Do they have things to get rid of that? Or do they just put on a gas mask and throw it into a trash can?" She shook her head before turning her attention back to Emmal

"I know it looks stupid, why don't you try?" Emma shot back at her as she too laughed. She dropped her hand and nudged her. Putting her hand back up to stroke her chin, she wore a comical face, crossing her eyes and smacking her lips together.

Emma jumped slightly when Evelyn spoke. She had been so concentrated on how to remove the bomb before it's toxic smog spread. The last thing she wanted was to study in the putrid odor, or even worse, inhale it in bed. She returned her focus to Evelyn, who was still deep in thought as she was. It was pretty funny how she could still talk, though not making any commute to eye contact. As she spoke, she mentioned the pranking of people, that would be endless. Conflict and pranking were two strictly different things.

"I think we should collect evidence until we have our culprit." Or until evidence points back to me, or until someone else is convicted... that's fully innocent. Emma shrugged as she thought this last part to herself. "Don't forget we have the dungbomb -" She paused, seeming to be collecting her thoughts. Hopefully, that dissolves. "And we have the note, but... that's pretty much it."

She decided to leave out the part about the Great Hall, for she had been there too. She was sure there were eyewitnesses that had seen her place down the note. If there was one place she was avoiding at the moment, it was there.

Evelyn wasn't sure what the statistics were for that. She guessed it just depended on how windy the day was. The question was probably rhetorical anyway. Instead she shrugged, Emma's laugh was much more interesting anyway. Instead of bringing it up she just stroked her chin much like she did. She tugged at her lip with her thumb and index finger. It exposed her sharp canine teeth. They were something that ran in her family and she unconsciously enjoyed showing them off. Maybe that was why she always adjusted her smile? It didn't matter. Emma was talking about collecting evidence to find the perpetrator.

"Hmm, all this standing is making me tired. Do you want to move away from the corridor to somewhere we can sit down and probably not be assaulted by a putrid smell?" She was right though, all they had were a dung bomb and a note. The dung bomb probably wouldn't be able to tell them anything because who would handle that kind of thing without gloves?

"I don't think we'll be able to get anything from a dung bomb anyway. Unless somebody felt like putting their dorm room number on there then we probably wouldn't find anything. Did you have an idea to get something from it though?" She wanted to make sure before they moved away from the corridor.

Emma looked at Evelyn as she exposed her abnormally sharp teeth, it was pretty cool to her. Though even it did seem a bit odd at first, she adapted to it quickly. Her feet felt as if they were being hardly messaged, though with rocks. She continued to shift her weight from her left foot, then to her right foot. In addition, her bag weighed her down by at least five pounds, but she refused to put it down. Anyone could snatch the bag right up without warning.

Thankfully, Evelyn spoke up. "Hmm, all this standing is making me tired. Do you want to move away from the corridor to somewhere we can sit down and probably not be assaulted by a putrid smell?" She was glad that she had subsequently said something. She had completely overlooked the repugnant odor until she had spoken up.

The brunette fanned the odor away from her, it was the most she could do, though as she moved the putrid odor away, it seemed to be replaced with more. Revolting... Emma thought to herself as she wrinkled her nose.

"With pleasure, did you want to go to the Great Hall or something?" The Ravenclaw merely suggested. She thought about it for a while, the words had sort of slipped out her mouth. "Wait, no, nevermind. The Great Lake?"

She was happy, though mentally when Evelyn said that they couldn't get any evidence from the bomb. An idea popped into her head, making her eyes widen slightly. They could always go to Diagon Alley and go to the shop where she had purchased the items. She doubted that the Weasleys would give two strangers their purchase information. She immediately changed her facial features.

Evelyn would of laughed if she wasn't facing the same problem. Emma was fanning the odor away from her but it seemed to do little to help. Once she gave up with that endeavor she had suggested the great hall. Evelyn was about to agree before she changed her mind and instead said Great Lake. Her body tensed almost immediately. She was quick to shoot that one down.

"No lake."Evelyn snapped, maybe a bit harshly. She scolded herself and added a quiet,"Please."

Instead she gave an alternative option she made up on the spot. "Why don't we go to an empty classroom? That way we can use the black board and chairs freely." She always dreaded water, though it wasn't as bad in clear swimming pools, the Great Lake just reminded her to much of the one back home. It was murky, deep, and home to malevolent magical sea creatures. She would adamantly refuse to go near the water even if she did end up going there with Emma.

In order to feel comfortable she always needed to have a clear line of the water but no easy access to it. Which the Great lake didn't provide; with it's slopping sides but rocky terrain. It was perfect to slip and fall into but you couldn't see where the part of the lake you were near until you were close enough to be dragged in.

"You're right though about the Great Hall not being a good idea. It was the scene of the 'crime'-" The quotation marks were heavily suggested "-and plus there's usually always people in there." She shrugged and waited to see if Emma would agree with her idea or push for the Great Lake.
