Summer Duelling Funtime Extravaganza, Match: 1

Aida shook their chestnut wand in confusion when their spell failed to even attempt to cast. It didn’t make any sense. Was the problem with the wix, or with the wand, or… both? Aida couldn’t understand it. As one comrade fell to a barrage of attacks, Aida’s face warped with alarm. This wasn’t how it was supposed to go. No, this wasn't right at all.
Doing as strategized.

The cloud seemed to be furious when not at 'home' near the Gryffindor side. As soon as Meenauh moved the cloud to the Ravenclaw side, the lightning struck poor Delilah right away. And then two spells flew right into her disorientated body, rendering her unconscious for good.
She suddenly stopped panting as Alan's invigorating spell made her feel a little better and she focused on all and everyone to see what they should do next.

Another duellist went down, this time it was one of the Ravenclaw students. Delilah to be specific who probably had been the scariest from them. Well maybe Aida was scarier, after all the boy knew what she was capable of from losing against her in the first stage duel. But this time he would be victorious and even out the scales again.
Hopefully this duel would come to an end soon, it was quite exhausting and somewhat stressful to pay attention to so many duellists at once.

The field was getting less and less crowded- not that Lamik was complaining. There were only four people on the field that he had to pay attention to now, as opposed to the six at the start of the match, and somehow, things were still going well. Who knew how long that would last though.

Seeing his ally fall to the efforts of his opponents filled him with dread, particularly after he had put in that work to heal her up just a few short moments ago. Admittedly discouraged, the Ravenclaw student tried to offer Aida some semblance of a confident smile, though the loss of Delilah weighed heavily on his conscience and his concerns for how the remainder of the duel would go. For once, the foolhardy boy seemed to have lost his nerve.
"This kind of sucks," he said to no one in particular, regarding his wand curiously. Some anger churned under the surface of course, but Thomas knew that no matter his irritation he and Aida were now losing the numbers game. It was unfortunate, the Ravenclaw had thought their team's strategy iron clad, but he hadn't managed to be successful all duel it seemed! All of his tactical knowledge was on end with this strange dueling arrangement, it made his head swim.Action: As strategized!

───•─•────────────────────────────────────•─•───

───•─•────────────────────────────────────•─•───It was a brutal experience to feel helpless. Watching their teammate be carried off the battlefield despite Greta's best efforts to keep them standing had left her with a sense of ineptitude. The team of elder students were impossibly difficult to hit. She didn't think she had ever had such a time just trying to land a spell. It was as though the very air around them seemed to deflect incoming assault. Or perhaps they were simply incorporeal.
It was frustrating, shifting focus. Like the defeat, it left a bitter taste in her mouth, and the fact that an unexpected combination of spells would narrow in on one target and leave them unconscious to join her own team member hardly served to provide any relief. But she was still standing, and so she would continue. The tides were shifting, and she had the feeling that there wouldn't be much longer before the battle became decisive, one way or another.

This was definitely the most infuriating duel Hadashi had ever experienced. Not just the 3 way nature of it, but the fact that there were 3 people on each team to worry about.
Nothing he couldn't handle, but 6 opponents at once is utterly maddening.
Whatever the outcome of this duel, Hadashi was likely to have a deep hatred of Gryffindor for a while afterward. Somehow or other, they must be cheating. Hadashi had no idea how, but they must be.
Hadashi could only hope this farce of a duel would be over soon.

Well- Vague Duelling Mod McGee almost immediately ate his words about last round being brutal. Thank goodness a real person that was god-like controlling the outcome of this duel didn't have to roll for these because it was actual chaos.
The cloud stayed where it was for once, now that Ravenclaw didn't have their third it seemed they couldn't expend the spell time to send it back over to another team. They were safe... for this round. Aida had a roaring comeback, not only hitting Greta with a mighty jet of flames but also with the tickling charm, which the duelling mod hadn't seen since the beginning of duel time. What a mighty wand that they had. Thomas had just as nice of a success, hitting Hadashi with a knockback jinx that would take the wind out of him for a moment.
Meenauh went back on the defensive with a shield charm, but it went unused. It seemed like all the teams were targeting either the guest team or the Ravenclaws. Besides, why team up and take on the most powerful team right? Alan attempted to strike Aida with a knockback jinx but they were able to dodge quite easily. Lamik's spell went a bit chaos haywire. His spread to Greta went just fine, hitting her and causing damage sure. But for Aida's? The spell whirled towards them, splitting off towards Hadashi. The initial wind struck Aida and luckily they were able to collect themselves as Lamik was unable to aim the third gust properly, sending it back towards his initial target. Luckily Aida was able to collect themselves enough to dodge the wonky wind.
Hadashi also went for the young wix, Aida being a popular target of the round and found himself successful. Aida was set aflame, gentle fire licking at the bottom of their robes. Greta had the same idea, aiming a wind jinx towards Aida as well. She was able to watch her spell strike true before she was hit three times and knocked down. The duel was momentarily paused to get Greta to the nurse's tent, leaving Hadashi representing the guest team on his own.

Aida didn’t want to target the cool Durmstrang girl wearing the warpaint, but when she targeted Aida last round, all bets were off. It seemed that the girl’s aggression wouldn’t stop this round, either, knocking Aida back with a wind jinx. With a huff, Aida returned fire and sent an incendio duo back at her. Yet, something about Aida’s wand seemed to want to tickle the little valkyrie while they were at it. Aida wondered if the wand had ever met the girl when it was in the hands of Valentin at Durmstrang... could that be why?
Doing as strategized.

Her 'play safe' tactics seemed to not be required anymore. She was watching more people falling down at the stage, so fewer targets to hit, if she was even going to hit anyone this duel. She looked at Lamik and then Alan and nodded, congratulating on their on-going success. But the duel wasn't over, so she should focus on what was coming. Because the fewer players are in the game, the higher are the chances that she gets targeted next.
