Evelyn blinked, Valerie saw the wall too? At least it confirmed the fact that she was the only one who didn't see it. She decided to run through her options like the raven haired girl had.

"Maybe I didn't see it because I wasn't looking for anything. What were you guys doing before you entered the hallway? Then again it could depend on what it in the hallway. If it's the room of requirements maybe I didn't need anything. But if it is said room then shouldn't it either disappear since you haven't entered it? That also wouldn't explain why I can't see it. Maybe the Mirror of Erised? But what's the requirement for finding that thing."

She clapped her hands together, having grown frustrated with the lack of resolve. "How are we going to find out if we don't go in? Worst thing worst I hit the wall like a muggle at the train station you mentioned earlier! I'm sure the worst I can get is a broken finger or two. The hospital ward can surely take care of that. But if you guys have any ideas that could save the trouble I'm all ears."

Evelyn would love to avoid getting broken bones. At the same time though she really wanted to see if she could get into that magical place.

"How are we going to find out if we don't go in? Worst thing worst I hit the wall like a muggle at the train station you mentioned earlier! I'm sure the worst I can get is a broken finger or two." Evelyn said though Emma was sure that she also wanted to come.

"No, no... no." Emma said reassuringly, "You have to come, we can't just leave you here, besides, we don't even know why it was here. I wasn't even imagining anything, well besides getting to the Owlery to mail my mum and dad a letter." She shrugged off her own words.

Emma considered all the immoral and corrupt things that could occur if they went into the room contemporaneously. Maybe nothing would happen, if they were lucky Something good will happen, I just know it. Emma thought to herself as she looked at the empty hallway that called her name as it sent a shiver up her back.

"We're all going in, I mean we're all wizards -" The brunette flapped her hands in a jazzy fashion as she said this word. "Here, aren't we? I mean none of us should have a problem entering, more or less, seeing the corridor, should we?"

Evelyn was definitely making a good point when she explained more possible reasons for why the Ravenclaw girls could see the new, secret corridor and she couldn't. Valerie thought that she was onto something with the comparison to the train station, though she doubted that it was anything as mundane as house affiliation that was the deciding factor here. By now she got the feeling that it had something to do with intent, thought she had no idea what intent exactly.

"I don't want you to get hurt," she told the Hufflepuff earnestly. "But I think unless you run into the wall you should be just fine. One of us can go in first and then we offer you a hand or something. Maybe that works."

Emma and her were of the same opinion there. Valerie didn't want to leave Evelyn behind, either. They'd either go together or figure this strange hallway out first so that the Hufflepuff girl could go in there with them.

It was curious to know however, that Emma hadn't been thinking of anything. Valerie had been the only one wanting to explore the castle, apparently... this whole confused her. This hidden corridor was a puzzle and she loved it - Valerie enjoyed solving puzzles a great deal.

"Emma is right," she agreed and looked back at the wall. "We should be fine, really. If we're careful nothing can happen. I mean Hogwarts was designed as a school, it wouldn't make sense for there to be anything that is actively dangerous to its students. And, by the way, what is The Mirror of Erised? I've never heard of that before."

Evelyn grinned, it was so nice to have people who won't leave you behind! It made her feel all warm and fuzzy.

"Were all going in we're wizards here aren't we?" was Emma's comment while Valeria had been more soft spoken in saying "I don't want you to get hurt." Which was just lovely she thought.

Valeria didn't know what the Mirror of Erised was though. It wasn't hard to explain so she decided to tell her about it. "The Mirror of Erised is an enchanted mirror like thing that shows the person in the mirror their deepest most desperate desire. It resides in the room of requirements I think. There's an inscription on it that'll tell us which one it is. "I show not your face but your truest desire" or something like that?"

She wasn't sure of the facts but she thought what she said made plenty of sense for now. They could always look more into it later if they wanted to keep up further correspondence. "Do you guys think we'll find the mirror of erised? If we do find it what to you guys think you'll see? Or more accurately. What do you want to see?" Evelyn wasn't sure if it would be something personal or not but she was curious.

Emma was exhilarated to know that both Valerie, and herself agreed on the same thing. Evelyn was coming in and nothing was going to stop them, at all. This hallway was implanted in her mind, yet, it was funny to think that her clumsiness caused all this. It made her wonder what else lurked in the school of Hogwarts, but that would have to wait another day.

When her fellow Ravenclaw asked what the Mirror of Erised was, she was partly shocked. Though when Evelyn explained, it sounded astonishing. She had not missed a single detail as far as she was concerned, though her mind still wandered off to the appearance, maybe reappearance, or the mysterious corridor itself.

The brunette herself questioned what she wanted to see in the mirror. She had a lot of things she wanted to see, but which one would overpower her emotions? "Well... I really just want to see my whole family together, like happy?" She had left out the part about wanted to see her deceased grandmother, it was a bit too personal for even her to say.

"I wonder what the Mirror will even look like... Wait... Erised?" Emma said something finally clicking inside of her head. She moved her hands around as if shifting an object to another place. "It means Desire, backward, what do you think would happen if.. you know... someone like.. with bad intentions got their hands on this?"

"Your deepest, most desperate desire," Valerie repeated Evelyn's words, intrigued. "That sounds pretty neat. I have no idea what I'd see, but I'd really like to know... I mean I don't know if this mirror is at the end of the corridor, but it's definitely worth a shot!"

Thinking of that mysterious mirror made her giddy. She had no way of knowing if it really existed of course, or if this was just another rumor about the castle, but then again there was proof that a real basilisk had lived in Hogwarts for almost a millennia, so she was inclined to believe Evelyn.

Emma's wish to see her family happy was reasonable. Perhaps one of them was sick, or the had been serrated. It was important to have one's family close to them, Valerie knew that. Luckily her family was close and loved each other dearly.

"If we find it..." she mumbled and thought about it would be she's liked to see. It was a hard question to be honest. Her hearts desire? To be respected, maybe. To prove to all those pure-blood supremacists that while she'd been raised the muggle way she could still beat them in anything she wanted to. Becoming a famous researcher sounded cool too, though that was only a vague idea. "I think I want to see myself excelling at Hogwarts, to make my family proud and become someone who is respected by everyone."

"Erised, Desire, of course," Valerie agreed with Emma. "Well, if it only shows desire, what harm can be done with it? Besides abusing it and losing touch with reality I don't think much bad could be done with it, to be honest. Anyway, should we go in?"

She pointed at the corridor, her finger only an inch away from the entrance.

Valeria and Emma had good idea of what they wanted to see, but in comparison her's felt lonely. It wasn't like friends were part of her plans. She could still succeed like her parents. Having somebody by her side would sure make things easier. That much her parents could agree with. She didn't share what she wanted to see in the Mirror of Erised because what she wanted meant having secrets and having to many secrets will make it hard for her to have friendships. Instead she chose to agree with Valerie's statement.

"I think the worst somebody could do is see something they want to change or something the can never be and end up in a spiral of self destruction." She hummed, her eyes closing in thought. "The Human species are their own worst enemy. I think I read something to that effect before."

Evelyn opened her eyes and tugged her lips with her teeth before smiling. She blinked at the new doorway at the her vision. "Has that always been there?" Valerie was already pointing at it. "That's interesting! I wonder what changed."

There were a plethora of ideas on what could of happened, but it didn't particularly matter now. It just meant that she could go inside! Probably. At least if it was a death trap she wouldn't be a suspect for murder.

Emma had listened to Valerie speak about her passion for excellence within the school, at least that is what she had gathered out of her speech. It was amazing to listen to her goal, whether if it was lifelong or not, it was still great. What she didn't hear was Evelyn's small skit of what she wanted to see in the mirror, which made her a bit suspicious. Were her intentions so bad, she couldn't share it, or were they just too personal to share?

Once again, she began analyzing her choices, she knew one of them would appear on the mirror. It didn't actually matter though, none of them could see it, so why tell the exact truth? Architect, not good enough. Wand shop? No, something's not good until you've given it a lot of thought, besides you just came up with that. It was a bit unusual how Emma could imagine voices that weren't her's inside of her head.

As Evelyn hummed, she wondered if she were being possessed, those kinds of things happened at Hogwarts. It couldn't get any worse when she closed her eyes and continued to hum in a pitch that made ringing appear inside of her head. As she opened her eyes, she was relieved to see that her eyes weren't a different color, that kind only happened in movies, as far as she was aware.

"Has that always been there?" Evelyn asked both of them. Emma's heart leaped, and she could have sworn, without knowing so, she jumped a few inches off the ground. She nodded hardly that made her neck throb after doing so.

"Yes! For crying out loud, let's go in!" Her voice was mixed with happiness and both impatientness. She looked down at the endless corridor before making her first step into the mysterious corridor. Hopefully, it was just the Room of Requirement, but something informed her that they were not going to run into the room.

The Human species are their own worst enemy. That was certainly true, or at least it sounded like a really important bit of advice, so Valerie decided to remember it for a later time and maybe ask her grandfather about. He'd know.

She wanted to answer Eveyln, but before she had time to open her mouth the other girl's face took on a surprise expression as she stared at the entrance to the hidden corridor. She could see it now, how fascinating. Valerie could make little sense of it to be honest, but her thought about intent must have been right. Thinking about the mirror, or what she wanted to see in the mirror maybe, had made the Hufflepuff able to actually see the opening in the wall. She had half a mind to ask a dozen questions about that, but thought better of it. Now was really not the time.

Emma was the one who finally called for them to go and explore the corridor and Valerie wasted no time in following her call. She put one foot inside the dark hallway, and after there was no immediate, negative response walked a few steps snide.

"Well, it didn't kill me yet," she remarked dryly. "How do we go about this? Just walk until we find a room or a crossing?"

The corridor itself wasn't that interesting if one ignored that it hadn't been there an hour ago. The walls were bare and looked as they did anywhere else in the castle.

Valerie stepped in and remained unharmed for the moment. That was enough for her to go sliding in. She wasn't dead yet. Which was a good sign for their future. Valeria had a good idea to keep walking. If they tried to find a specific room they would be there all day. But she had to wait for Emma to come in yet.

There must be a draft or something of the like in the corridor because it was a bit chilly. She pulled her scarf closer to her and tugged at her lips in worry, hopefully she wouldn't get a cold. Evelyn would've offered her scarf to Valeria or Emma but she didn't think there was enough of the scarf for that to work. So instead of doing that she pulled it closer around her shoulders.

She looked around the hallway for anything suspicious. There wasn't any draperies or suits of armor. It looked like any other hallway in Hogwarts. Cobwebs seemed to keep permanent place in the upper corners and the stone is stained in some places from were water probably leaked through. Which would make sense considering it's a magically hidden corridor without much human trafficking. She turned back to her new friends and grinned impishly.
