Closed A Friendship Made Outdoors PV Bailey Glade

The girl, Lily bailey learned after she introduced herself, seemed relieved that Bailey hadn’t been rude and sent her away.
That wasn’t something that Bailey would have done, though she knew some older students would.
After she shook Lily’s hand, the girl settled into the grass, taking some writing things out.
As bailey was trying to think of something to say, Lily beat her to it.
Smiling at the younger girls question, Bailey answered “Well, coming from a muggle family, I didn’t know too much about the houses, until I got a book from Diagon alley, and until some people explained it to me, on the train ride here. Though, now that I know more about the Houses, I would definitely say that I fit the stereotype, and that I’m in the right house.
I doubt the Sorting Hat gets it wrong, and they defiantly put me in the right house!”
Taking a breath, Bailey spoke again. “When you say that you thought you would be in Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw; we’re you disappointed when you got Slytherin? And in my opinion Gryffindor is slightly overrated.. everyone makes it seem like they are better than everyone else.. now I have several really good friends in Griffindor, but there’s something that that the house in general seems to radiate… do you get what I’m saying? Sorry I’m rambling on and on.. I do that when I meet new people and get excited.”
Blushing when she realized she was rambling, Bailey stoped her talking, and fidgeted with her rings, waiting for Lily do speak.

“No worries- you had no way of knowing that!” baileys said and smiled at the other girl.
“And I’m glad your happy with your house! I have quite a few good friends in Slytherin- @Colin McCoire, @Quinn Root, to mention a few. Maybe you know them?”
“And it’s crazy to think that I’ll be in the same house, for like five more years including this year. I’m happy, I have so many great friends in all of the houses. I wish i could see the other common rooms more than the glimpse I’ve seen of Griffindor… that would be soo cool!
“Yes- I’m not saying their bad, I’m just saying, Griffindor seems to be slightly overrated. That seems to be the house everyone wants to be in, if you get what I’m saying.”
Smiling, Bailey decided to change the topic.
“So.. do you have a pet, here or at home? I have so many pets at home, but I was so happy when my parents let me get and then finally bring my cat Twinkle this year!”
Smiling, Bailey remembered Twinkles reaction to the train and the castle and the magic. It was so cute to watch, and Bailey treasured the memories of it.

Lily seemed worried that Bailey would think that she’d take offense that Lily didn’t know that she was muggle born. That was a silly thought, and Bailey hoped she didn’t worry too much about it.
Lily smiled at bailey, and Bailey grinned back. She mentioned knowing both @Quinn Root and @Colin McCoire and bailey was glad. They both were amazing people, and would definitely help new members of their house to the best of their abilities. “Colin and Quinn are great, I’m glad you’ve met them! Colin and two other people are really the reason I have as many friends as I do- last year they helped me come out of my shell! Im sure you get even more friends, which is awesome!”
As the conversation turned to pets, Lily asked what breed Twinkle was. Then she answered Bailey’s question. Once Lily was done talking about her pets (which Bailey LOVED listening to) Bailey answered lily’s question.
“Yes I have a cat! Her name is Twinkle, like one of my old cats that had unfortunate passed away..” pausing for a moment bailey tried to remember what breed Twinkle was.
“I believe twinkle is a Silver Mackerel Tabby! I got her before my second year, but I left her at home since she was just a baby then. This is the first heat I’ve brought her to school, and she definitely enjoying it!! I have other pets at home, and that’s awesome that you do to! How old is Frisbie?”

As Bailey told Lily about coming out of her shell, Bailey hoped it helped the younger girl feel more confident. She knew that plenty of people at the castle, boys, girls and anyone and everyone in between, had met her and looked up to her.
This was a lot of pressure, but bailey liked it, and loved to try and be the best role model she could be.
Lilys smile faded as she talked about coco @Colin McCoire being there first person she had met at Hogwarts, and that he was nice. Lily was the first person Bailey had talked to that hadn’t immediately called Coco their ‘friend.’ Bailey decided to pry a little.
“Colin is really nice- one of the sweetest people I’ve met, and one of my closest friends- why do you seem sad? You seem like a lost puppy who doesn’t think anyone likes her? Because I can assure you Colin is friends with almost as many people as I am, if not more!”
As the conversation turned to pets, Bailey’s smiled dropped talking about her pets who had passed away. She smiled again, slightly forced, when talking about Lily’s pet and Twinkle.
“I believe twinkle is - well I got her last summer break, and she was maybe a month old then? So she’s about a year, almost a year and a half old?”

Lily blushed, her freckles face burning red when bailey wondered out loud why Lily was sad while talking about @Colin McCoire. Lily was really pretty, even when she was blushing. With her pretty face and kind and welcoming personality, Bailey knew that Lily would probably become as popular and well loved as Bailey, if not more.
Lily laughed, embarrassed and Bailey smiled. “Ok! I won’t press, I was just wondering!”
Lily laughed again - is she hiding something? - and Bailey smiled. She couldn’t resist smiling, especially as Lily mentioned her list of friends.
“Which Emm? @Emma Wynn… do I know any other Emma’s? And you mean @Clair Fernandez, right? And coco, and Quinn!!! Almost everyone I’ve met- really all but one person, have been amazing. Ok two people, but one I liked till I let him break my heart… but that’s a story for another day.”
“Twinkle is still young, yes. And really cute, adorable really!”
Bailey started braiding three strands of grass together, and laughed as she noticed that Lily was also playing with the grass.
Bailey smiled and asked Lily “Do you like being outside? You seem like someone who likes and enjoys being outside!”
Bailey definitely enjoyed being outside, and she knew several people who also did- including @Edward Edwards and Luca, a friend that was from one of the foreign schools. @Emma Wynn

Bailey could see that Lily was thinking of someone -someone she missed, possibly a family member or a friend. Bailey smiled, hoping to be a calm and kind presence.
The subject changed to friends, and it seemed to be a topic Lily enjoyed talking about - it was one Bailey also enjoyed.
Bailey smiled, her grin growing, when Lily nodded saying that @Emma Wynn was the Emma she was talking about.
Bailey and Emma had met in the library and quickly bonded, and it would have been hard not to - put two people who are both rays of sunshine and have a ton in common, and they're almost guaranteed to become friends. Bailey lately had been wishing to spend more time with Emma, but Emma was always busy leading an errand or doing her rounds as a prefect, so the most bailey had done was wave and smile, and maybe pass along a few kind words.
"Emma is amazing - one of the kindest people I've met. And Clair is great too - that's so cool that you met her at a muggle library - where is the library? I've been to quite a few around leeds and London, i love finding new ones and exploring them. They truly are my safe places."
Bailey smiled when Lily asked who the two people who weren't the nicest were - they had interesting stories, and Bailey's didn't mind sharing. She was only a little bitter about Dex, but it HAD just been a prank. Not a harmless one though..
"I don't mind, they have interesting stories attached. they're both gone now, but their names were James Owens, and Dexter Rasgill. Who do you want to hear about first? One was my maybe boyfriend, and the other was a prankster who got on my bad side... the side that only comes out once in a long while."
"I agree - i love being outside, with the sunshine and nature and everything alive! But it is also really nice to cozy up next to a window with some hot chocolate or tea and a good book... or with your family, playing cards!!! i have so many good memories both indoors and outdoors!"
