First Year Potions 101
Arceus relaxed when he heard that they were making a Pepper-Up potion Good probably the one potion I read about, he thought as he relaxed a bit and started rummaging through the pantries looking for all the necessary ingredients and got them out, "Yes bicorn horn, mandrake root and.." he whispered under his breath. He forgot what else he needed so he went by his book and quickly flipped through the pages trying to find the correct page and when he did went to work chopping and dicing up the ingredients and whilst glancing over to his book every once in a while to make sure he wasn't messing up. After a few minutes he was almost done and while it was brewing decided to plop down onto a chair and rest a little, he didn't have anyone to talk to so he let his mind venture out and even though it looked like he was just sitting there staring at nothing he was thinking about a lot of other things, his home.. his cat. He looked over at his potion after a minute to see it was bubbling That's not good! He thought as he quickly went to take it off the fire. He stood there staring at his now ruined potion, well this sucks he said as mentally facepalming himself.
Have a nice day and peace out..

Yuki walks into the room to see that the class had already started working, so she quickly and quietly went to an empty desk at the back of the class room. She then pulled out her 'Magical Drafts and Potions' book and found the Pepper Up-Potion page.
Yuki noticed that everyone had already started making their potions, she decided that even if she wasn't going to have the same time to make the potion as everyone else, she would at least start it. Yuki read the first step in her book and followed it and all he rest on the page. She was very surprised when she found out that she only took 2 minutes to mix in the items. Yuki put her cauldron on the fire pit and let finish.
About 10 minutes later, class was almost over and Yuki's potion finally finished. She poured her potion into an empty bottle and let it rest. When class ended, she turned in her potion and started heading for her next class, 'Defense against the Dark Arts'.
As Yuki was packing up her stuff she realized that she had made the wrong potion. She put the rest of her things in her bag and headed to the desk to tell the teacher that she made the wrong potion by accident, but by the time she got there past all the traffic, she was too late. The teacher had already took the potions in for grading.
Yuki walked towards her next class with depression.

First Year Potions 101
Lisabetta had to hide her happiness as she descended the steps into the dungeons of Hogwarts. She had a moment where she realized that if things had gone the way she had imagined them at the Sorting Ceremony, that would have been her normal path each day to get to the common rooms. She shook her head slightly, bringing herself back to the present, and had to hide her smile. Potions was her favorite subject, well almost favorite, it was tied with pretty much everything else in the Wizarding World.
She walked into the class and saw that people were already hard to work on the assignment for the day, and, it appeared, that people were pairing up. Lisabetta did a quick glance of the room, and found an empty potions table. She walked up to it and saw that it seemed to have been used already, but, after another look around the room, she decided that the person who was here before had already left.
She set her bag down, pulling out her potions book, placing on the table in front of her. She glanced up at the front of the room at the classroom board to see her assignment was to create the Pepper-Up Potion. She quickly flipped to the correct page in her book, taking out some parchment, quill and ink, and began jotting down notes.
Purpose: Cures the common cold
Side Effects: Steam comes out of the users ears for a few hours

After finishing her notes, she stood up from her table and headed to the potions cupboard, glancing inside and grinning slightly at all the different ingredients she saw, she hoped she would get the chance to use everything in here during her time at school. Lisabetta shook her head slightly, something she did quite often, to get her thoughts in check. She grabbed some Bicorn Horn and Mandrake Root, two ingredients that this particular potion called for, before returning to her table.
She got to work, quickly, on making the potion as perfect as she could possibly get it, smiling as she worked, this is exactly how she had expected her first class at Hogwarts to go, and she was very happy for what was to come in her other classes.
Finishing the potion quickly, she brought her results up to the teachers desk, leaving it there with a note with her name, just in case the teacher would not be aware of who did it, and left with a little extra spring in her step.

"Mhm, thanks." Serena grinned at the Gryffindor that she had started to understand. Sort of. She wouldn't actually lie about helping him - she was a Hufflepuff, after all and honesty was one of her 'Puff traits. But she liked seeing that, despite his troublesome nature, he wanted to complete the task himself. Perhaps he wasn't as bad as he made himself out to be - though the fact that he tried to punch her was still on her mind. She did wonder where all of the fire had come from... On reflection, it seemed like he was used to dealing with it so it may have been something that happened before. Glancing at the clock, she noticed she still had a while to go before her thirty minutes of brewing was up.
She turned to Siege to see what he was doing. His potion looked like the minute in her book - or at least, a very similar shade in colour. Serena figured he had finished it or was very close to at this rate, "Hey, that looks pretty good." She was about to continue talking when she heard his next words. They confused her a little. "Huh? Into wha-" She started, blinking as she wondered what he was on about. Her mind quickly tried to race back to everything she had said. What did he think she was into? The girl paused as she thought about it. As it dawned on her, her eyes widened, "What- No!!! Of course not! Wha- argh- no- don't be stupid- I'm not stalking you, dumbass!" Serena exclaimed, waving her hands in dramatic movements as she spoke out of exasperation. Her face started to flush as she tried to clear her name from sounding like a total creep, "I'm not into that" Serena said firmly, pulling an irritated face as she hmphed a little and pouted, crossing her arms over her chest in an annoyed manner. Oh boy, was she dramatic!
Though, in all honesty... the eleven year old had no idea what she was into. She was eleven. And boys were stupid. That's all there was to it, she was far too innocent to deal with this creepy behaviour he was accusing her of!

Cece walked into the classroom with her eyes roaming the room and watching everyone move around speaking to their partners trying to complete the potion. She looked up at the front and saw in bold words "Pepper-Up Potion." Sure, Cece didn't know too much about potions as a subject due to her family being against the house Slytherin and everything associated with it, but quite frankly, she didn't care. She loved her house and wanted to be the greatest witch that ever emerged from her year and maybe the house as a whole, but that was pushing it. She sat herself in the far back seat and pulled out her copy of "Magical Drafts and Potions" quickly flipping to the page all about the Pepper-Up Potion. She read through the topic over and over again being sure she didn't miss the most meniscal detail before she proceeded with the potion.
She grabbed 1 piece of Bicorn Horn and put it into the mortar and began crushing it into a very fine powder. She looked back at the book before adding the powder into the cauldron to be absolutely sure she wouldn't do anything incorrectly. She was absolutely dedicated to brew the most perfect Pepper-Up Potion as she added 2 pinches of the powder and mandrake root.
40 minutes passed and her hair was a mess along with her house robe sleeves pulled up. She stared at the orange colored potion before sighing and giving it to the professor in the front of the room. "I think I did pretty well for someone who had no partner," she thought to herself as she made her way to her next class.

She smiled at his compliments and gave him a big smile, when he explained about the Bicorn ingredient she knew she was right in suggesting he find what he needed. She was curious if he’s done this before. Everything was really new to her - and it’s only sinking in how odd these ingredients were to her.Dakota Parker wrote:Dakota looked dumbfounded for a moment before realizing what she said, feeling more confident about himself, so if he looked a fool, he wouldn’t look it alone. The boy nodded lightly, following her over to the cupboard and speaking a bit louder, “I never heard that before, but now that I’m here you don’t have to be nervous.” He was quite the talker once he got comfortable, “You seem like a smart kid-I mean you knew what page to flip to, and you got up as quick as lightening to get the supplies! I was surprised that you didn’t just walk off me.” He stated, his voice not as fast as Venice’s, but it was obvious he had grown more comfortable.
He was a good listener so he easily understood Venice’s words, “That’s fine, I know what you’re saying. The Bicorn Horn are already crushed, all we need are two pinches.” He responded, he was used to taking orders, mainly from his brothers, and he never could protest against them-at least when he was at home-so this was natural for him. “Sure, sure.” He murmured out, before turning around and going over to gather a portion of the supplies, trying not to think that all eyes were on him.
((OOC: Alrighty, thanks))
Her eyes trailed her partner as he walked away, wondering if there was anything wrong. He responded so softly that she worried he felt some type of way about her ordering him around. This made her ears red and she wobbled to the other side of the cupboard. “This should be right,” She mumbled to herself as she picked up a pouch of mandrake root. She noticed how odd the roots are - some of it looking like chopped human-like parts. This sent a shiver down her spine and she willed herself to brush it off. She walked towards the “S” section, her initial worries forgotten, and browsed for the last ingredient she needed to get.
“Salamander tail, Salamander -- eww.” She said to herself, her face cringing at the small bottle full of Salamander eyes. Their time to make the potion is decreasing every moment they spent looking for their materials and this worried her. She scanned the cupboard again to no avail.
She walked towards her partner, tapping him at the back. “I couldn’t find the vials of Salamander Blood over there. Is it here?” She figured maybe it would be under “Blood” if it wasn’t under "Salamander".
All that stops you is fear. Do not allow it.

Jenna nodded briefly and tried to hold back a laugh, but didn't manage.Sophia Montgomery wrote: Sophia went from slumped in seat with crossed arms to straight back and hands in lap. "Hello. Would you like to work together in this assignment?" she asked, biting her lip awkwardly. She had a terrible habit of biting her lip when stressed or anxious. Sophia turned to the girl by her side. Obviously by sitting next to her, she wanted to work with Sophia, right? Sophia tucked in her chair and lay her hands on the wooden desk. "I'm Sophia Montgomery. I'm very advanced in potion knowledge for your information, so I know how to do this. Easy Peasy!" She smiled her usual famous smile and knew in her mind that she came off as maybe a little vain or show-offish but didn't wipe the smile off her face. She turned to the cauldron stiffly and cleared her throat - it was just a disguise to wipe the smile off her face without showing she was slightly embarrassed.
"Okay, Miss Potions. I would only work with the best; and you, my dear, are an expert!" Jenna giggled. She flipped to the current page in her textbook and smiled. "I wish we could make Polyjuice Potion..."
Wouldn't that be great?! I could finally... I got to stop daydreaming.
She looked at Sophia. "Let's do this!" She smiled brightly.
Jenna looked at the section with the listed ingredients for the potion they were making; The Hiccoughing Solution. Oh, joy Jenna thought. A hiccough attack in a vial.

Sophia smiled. “I know exactly how to make this! I’ve practiced in Home Lessons back at Magic Manor — my apartment — in Brighton.” She didn’t know why she kept rambling on and on about how and what she knew about Potions. She felt the girl next to her did not properly believe in what she was saying. Sophia stood up and excitedly gathered the ingredients to create the following Potion with a joyful smile on her face — though it was fake. She glanced at the book and shoved the ingredients closer towards her study friend. “I don’t know if you’ve told me your name, ma’am. I know, for a fact, that I’ve told you mine.”

The young Ravenclaw takes a seat and looks at the other pairs.
"Does...Anybody want to be my partner? Any Hufflepuffs, Gryffindors, Slytherins?? Another Ravenclaw?" She asked, desperately looking for a partner.
She trembled a little, not wanting to work alone. She was group-dependent, and felt like nobody without someone to work with.
She attempted to get the correct ingredients, and emptied them onto the table.
She gets set up, but continues to tremble with anxiety.

Emily walked into the Potions Classroom and saw a notice on the blackboard that they would be brewing the Pepper-Up Potion. “Wow, we are brewing the Pepper-Up Potion today,” she said quietly to herself. She walked over to a workstation and set up her equipment. She pulled out her potions book, found the correct page and read carefully through the instructions. She had brewed this potion several times with her dad, but wanted to refresh her memory by reading through the process again. She didn’t want to make a mistake.
After reading through it a second time, Emily headed off to the student cupboard to gather the required ingredients and headed back to her table to begin brewing the potion. She worked quietly and by the end of class, she had a successful Pepper-Up Potion. Smiling, she siphoned some into a glass phial and turned it in to be graded by the Potions Professor. Returning to her workstation, she thoroughly cleaned her equipment, returned the unused ingredients back to the student cupboard and wiped down the workstation. “I’ll have to write home to Daddy and tell him about Potions class today,” Emily thought to herself as she grabbed her schoolbag and left the classroom.
