Hey, Quiet Girl Closed

Mina walks into the library, needing a good book the lessen her sour mood. Nothing bad had happened to put her in her bad mood, she had just woken up with the bad mood. She despised being in a sour mood, it meant the things on her mind where sour, which then lead to her saying sour things.

She hoped she wouldn’t have to talk to anyone, that was why she came to the library, she she could avoid social interaction. But the library had a few more people in it than she had hoped, which was more than zero. There were approximately 5 people in the library, all reading or scribbling away on homework assignments. She examined them and noticed a girl with brown hair and hazel eyes sitting by herself at a table. Mina felt the urge to go over there and ask the girl why she was alone. But she also felt the urge to take her sour mood out on the girl.

She rolled her eyes, no way was she going over there, she knew she’d be brutally honest like always and somehow hurt the girls feelings. Like she always did when she was in a sour mood. She grumbles softly to herself and wonders why her attention was fixed on the girl sitting by herself. Probably because the other four were sitting together in groups of two and whispering to each other about their assignment, while the girl by herself would have no one there to stop Mina’s possible tirade.

Now she just sounded like a bully, Mina closes her eyes, taking a deep breath. She could try and, she could ignore her sour mood. She would probably fail at it. She looks back at the girl and sighs and walks over, a conflicted look on her face.

When she reaches the table, she taps it and she says, “Hey, quiet girl, what’s your name?

Mina listens to her answer and rolls her eyes, “Did I ask for anything besides your name?| Mina’s eyes widen and she flushes with same and she mumbles “I’m sorry, that came out of nowhere.” She smiles slightly, “Reading and herbology. . . I’f I’m being honest, which I always am, herbology is boring, but reading is fun.

Mina sits down across for the girl, even though she wasn’t invited to sit down, she didn’t really care, “My name is Mina. Mina Starr. If you’re blind well then, I guess you wouldn’t know my house, but if not, that’s kind of a stupid question.” She gestures to herself, the red and yellow speckled throughout her outfit and the very obvious Gryffindor patch on her robes and the red on the inside of her hood, “I’m a first year Gryffindor.

She leans back in the chair, kicking her booted feet up on the table, looking at Lily with a calculating gaze, “So, you’re Slytherin. What’s it like being in the house of cunning, resourcefulness, leadership, and ambition?” Mina knew she was a pin to talk to in this moment, and she honestly didn’t really care, “I don’t think I’ve met anyone from your house yet.
