Eli gasped, tons…tons of people. Floating candles flew above him, his jaw slightly hanging down, he was in total awe. Even if the place was crowded, he felt a sense of safety, like nothing…no one…would ruin this beautiful moment for him. He started to feel jittery, and he fidgeted with his rings. “Oh my goodness…” Eli mumbled. He was so overwhelmed, yet so calm at the same time. Eli looked everywhere for his friends, yet in this large crowd, there would be no way of that happening. Eli sat down, keeping his posture perfect. Just don’t worry…breathe… Eli heard the names being called, one by one. Finally, Eli heard his own name being called, “Eli Jonson!” Eli took a deep, sharp breath, then stood up and walked over to the hat. He sat down in the chair, his expression blank, but his mind full. It didn’t take long, when the hat called out, “Hufflepuff!”
He smiled softly, hearing a roar from the Hufflepuff table, and applause from the rest of the area. He got up, removing the hat and walking over to join the table. So many people… Eli shivered slightly. Even if he was anxious, he still felt…welcome. As is he was wanted there, that everyone was happy he was chosen as a Hufflepuff. Eli sat down, fidgeting with his rings again, but still sitting upright. Eli heard lots of comments, a “Well done!” Here and a, “Welcome to Hufflepuff!” There…he just smiled and nodded. He had no words. This was his dream…and he was finally living the fairytale he dreamt of as a child. He took a deep breath, and smiled happily. This was where he belonged…and he felt like the luckiest boy alive.
