EVERLY'D been on her first Muggle train that summer, albeit briefly. Her parents had given her and Adeline tickets, and though Adeline needed some convincing, the two of them quickly found themselves on a train from Canterbury to London. The train ride lasted about an hour, but Everly spent the time busying herself with any summer homework she had left and chatting with anyone willing to talk to her (Adeline). When they finally arrived in London, Adeline could barely keep Everly in her sights—Everly wanted to do everything she could. She'd even managed to meet up with someone she'd met at Hogwarts, @Atlas Rey, though they hadn't known each other for long. They'd met through mutual friends, and had hung out a few times before, but Everly already considered her a friend. Thankfully, Atlas was just as willing to spend a day in London together, though the Hufflepuff probably didn't know what she was signing up for. Everly stopped at just everything that caught her eye. Half of the seats on the train ride back were taken up by shopping bags.
That day had gone by quickly—too quickly, almost—just like the rest of her summer had. She'd spent July with @Regina Miller and August at summer camp, though it'd been rather uneventful for her. Perhaps she was just feeling... less of everything. Less excitement, less motivation, less like herself. As the summer went on, she began to feel more like a stranger living in her body. She didn't know who she was, and that kept her awake at night, tossing and turning. Everly had shoved it down, just like she did with every foreign or uncomfortable feeling nowadays.
Like how her stomach would do flips whenever she saw a certain Slytherin, and how her entire body tingled when the two of them actually had a conversation, or how those encounters would leave her with a dumb smile for hours after. Or how she wanted to run her fingers through their hair, or how she wanted to sit and talk with them for hours, or—or how she wasn't even sure she was a she—
All of it, shoved away, just so she wouldn't have to confront herself.
Everly lugged her trunk behind her onto the train, waving weakly at her father on the train platform. Adeline had been off who knows where—ever since she'd gotten married, Everly had been seeing Adeline less and less. Adeline should probably be spending more time with her husband, which Everly knew didn't warrant her to be mad, but Everly ended up missing her. Her mother had said that she wasn't feeling well, so she'd stayed back at the manor. Everet had asked her concerningly if she needed to go to a doctor, but she waved away all their concerns, so Everly's father had settled for brewing her some tea and making their trip quick. Everly knew that it wasn't a coincidence that Charmaine had been out of the manor less and less, and when she realized that, she'd offered to have Tzahala stay with Charmaine for the duration of the year, rather than go back to Hogwarts with her. After all, it was a win-win—at the end of second year, she'd been noticing that Tzahala was acting differently. They'd brought the bengal to a doctor, but they'd been told that Tzahala was perfectly fine. Maybe they both needed a break from Hogwarts. After all, Tzahala adored Charmaine, and Charmaine could use a pick-me-up (read: a cat).
So, sister-less and cat-less, she found herself an empty compartment near the back of the train. Everly opened her trunk, double-checking everything. After making sure she had money for the trolley and her Hogsmeade permission slip (though she hadn't needed a real one before), she began rummaging for something to entertain herself for the ride. She quickly found a Muggle book that she'd been recommended—recently, she'd been finding herself very entertained by Muggle romance books—and opened it to the bookmarked page, settling into her seat next to the window.open, owl to join

Summer was great! Apart from like, his parents divorce, a total environment change, and his best friend breaking up with him over the summer.
Many things changed sure, but Hana already shed more than enough tears as well as enough days of being cooped up doing absolutely nothing. 4th year arrived and he was ready to show of who he really is. Like every other 14 year old who thought their emo phase was over and done with. A positive outlook, inspired by the little good he found during the summer. He would never say it to his aunt, but he would miss their endless bickering. They exchanged their last insults with barely so much of a hug, but traces of their fond interaction had its remnants fresh on his face as he boarded the train.
“C-cccuuuteee uutteee..” Cu Sith trailed behind him while he sought a perfect compartment, apparently more hit by the absence of his aunt than he is. She was (not exaggerating) obsessed with her over the summer. And Hana expected nothing less from the ever-so-dramatic snake.
“ Hahhh..we can visit her again once holiday rolls in, Cu Sith. Think about it this way, you can see some of your other cuties again. Does Holmwood, Chen, and Oaksworth ring any bells? “ It certainly did. In a jiffy Cu Sith stopped her wailing and let out a delightful hiss. One Hana snickered in response. She could bet they would be seeing their favourite Nerd (Avery Chen) a lot sooner than she thought.
Her happy mood had somewhat distracted him from curious onlookers and hushed whispers. It was not everyday a student came on the train with a 75 cm snake following them from behind. Even rarer to hear an infamous language being spoken so casually and openly. It was Hanako’s new brand as a hotter, taller, and emotionally smarter(?) 4th year. Everyone- including himself- would need to get used to it.
Thought wasn’t put in much when he picked a spot to sit. He was certain his charming(?) personality would make him get along with almost everyone. And if Cu Sith scared them, then yeay! More space for them! Though previously confident in his people skills, even he admits he finds it difficult to charm someone he had previously attempted to set fire to. Multiple times.
Upon opening the door, Everly would be greeted by a surprised Hanako, who then greeted her with utmost enthusiam. “ Oh! Lamik, how lovely it is to see you~” Oh who was he kidding? He was jesting. After the lions had won the duel, Hanako made sure to precisely remember their names. Now that he had a score to settle, after all. Everly could guess as much with the mischievous grin he showed.
He hadn’t taken a foot in her compartment, opting to lean against the open door frame to fully access the cute evasive 2nd year who was a pain to land a hit on. “Remember me~? People do tend to say I’m quite memorable. You’d break my itty bitty heart if you don’t remember” his eyes glanced towards the book in Everly hands with a smirk. “ Let me guess, ‘Enemies to Lovers’ trope?”
While he was busy poking fun at Everly, Cu Sith slithered around his boots. Hiding safely behind Hanako as she looked up to evaluate Everly with unblinking eyes. Ah, there she goes again. Judging if Charlton is cute enough for her to interact with, Hana guessed from the looks of it.

Summer came and goes in a blurred. Cash had a blast visiting Labrouder's Manor. They spent their entire summer there which is a good thing. Staying at Katherine's place was a breath of fresh air and a change of scenery. And before they know it, the new school year rolled in and as much as they loved to have holidays all year long, Cash must go back to continue their education.
With the new school year rolled in, Cash had a new role. Before Summer break came, a Prefect badge had been presented to them. Cash stared at the shiny new badge in awe. They have not told their mother yet. They wanted to make sure that once they do, they had been settled in, and then they will break the news to their mother.
And so, when Cash was on board the train; as they walked along the corridor of the compartments, they stuck the new shiny badge on the Polo shirt that they wear. Once the badge was securely stuck on their shirt, Cash continued their track. A few steps in, a group of rowdy first years (by the judge of how young they look), bumped into Cash.
Cash tutted at the rowdy first years and looked down to where Aero happily slithers about. "You okay, boy?"Cash talked to the black and yellow Emerald Gazer like he is a dog, not a 75 cm long snake. Aero nodded his head. Cash let out a breath when they know Aero did not get stomped by the commotion earlier.
Aero and Cash continue their steps looking for any compartment to seat on. Then from where they were situated, they saw Tone was hanging by the door probably to annoy whoever was inside the compartment. Once Cash was near the door, the green eyes then lifted up their satchel bag and smacked the satchel on the back of the dwarf's head.
"Out of the way, midget!"Cash expressed. And when Tone was out of their way, Cash marched into the compartment. The green eyes make a promise to themselves as long as both Cash and Tone go to Hogwarts, Cash makes sure that they are Tone's personal bully. They should have checked first before they barged in. As Cash stepped into the room, their green eyes landed on Everly.
The other girl holding a book. Before summer rolled in, Cash kind of avoided the other girl. Things were a bit weird between the Duellist and the Quidditch player. Well, things are a bit weird on Cash's side, that is. The young Ironwoods never thought they would have such a crush on Charlton after Kara.
And now since it was inevitable, they must face the reality. The Beater then continue their stride. "There you are, amor love! I am looking everywhere for you,"Quipped the Cuban descendant a bit too sweet for their own liking. It was a lie but Tone does not have to know that. "Thanks for saving us a seat, by the way,"They added then Cash did something that was out of character for them.
Cash shocked themselves by kissing Everly on the cheek. But the young Ironwoods were a master of hiding one emotion so they hide the shock perfectly. Then Cash hovers near the Duellist's ear. "If you want that gremlin to leave you alone and stop pestering you, I suggest you play along,"Cash whispered then they took a seat across the Lioness.
Once the Prefect took a seat across the other girl, they pulled their satchel bag onto their lap. Aero curled up near their feet. The green eyes then averted their eyes from Everly to Tone. "Go find somewhere else to seat. You are not welcome here!"Cash said to Tone then throw their trademark smirk at him.
But Aero thinks otherwise as he looked at the beauty that was around Tone's boots with twinkles in his eyes. "That's just great!'The fourth year let out a groan after they glance back and forth from their own snake to Tone's. Perhaps Cash is the one in the wrong here since they kind of sheltered Aero from getting to know the other pets at school.
Either Tone decided to join the compartment or not, it sure will be an interesting ride.

Checking every compartment, a frown grew on her face as she found none that were full or even one with a familiar face. And especially no Ivy. Way to bail on your friend last minute. Adelaide wasn't mad at Ivy, not really, she couldn't ever really be angry at the older girl, more just annoyed at the fact they had agreed to sit together, and she hadn't showed up. Every compartment that Adelaide looked in was full of unfamiliar faces, honestly, how many new first years had arrived this year to make every single one full? She was near the end of the train now, and still couldn't find a free compartment. There was one compartment though that she hadn't gotten a look in, considering there was a boy leaning against the doorframe. She walked up to it, able to easily look over the boy's shoulder considering she was a good few inches taller than him, and miraculously spotted a familiar face. Well, familiar, but not exactly.
It was Everly Charlton, one of the people apart of her childhood friendship group. They hadn't actually spoken in years though, so maybe this was a bad idea, maybe this would be astonishingly awkward, but this was the only compartment that wasn't filled to the brim with other students, and she had nowhere else to go. And even though there were two other people who she didn't know already here, there really was no other option. So, taking a deep breath, she steeled herself as she spoke up, "Everly, hey," she gave a little wave, "mind if I sit here? All of the other compartments are full. Seems like we've got quite a lot of new first years this year." She gave a little smile, just the side of her lip quirking up.
If Everly agreed, she'd turn to the boy, "Care to move out of the way?" Her tone was neither harsh nor annoyed, just a neutral question with the slightest hint of bossiness. Nina stayed beside Adelaide, brushing up against the Ravenclaw's leg. Maybe Ivy would find her way to this compartment too, somehow, if the girl wasn't already in one with her friends.
