Team Ravenclaw & Participating Yilbegäns
A little bird also told me that @Marshal Mozor wanted to join...
so have at me (if you can )
At the conclusion of the Ravenclaw vs Yilbegän Quidditch match, our opponents had only had one team member in the air by the time that we had finished with them. Left and right the glorious Durmstrang/Koldovstorez hybrid had fought seamlessly together (though I will say that it was my personal belief that the Durmstrang team had dominated the playing field for the most part). Whereas our own team had come away (mostly) unscathed, the poor Hogwarts team had been brutalized and bloodied in the most violent of ways; and I had been responsible for no less than 3 of them, at least. Having had experience with taking a bludger or two to the body, I knew how unpleasant injuries like this were, and my further and repeated experiences with fistfights and physical confrontations only further solidified this.

So it should have come to nobody's surprise when I offered to come along with the mediwitches and wizards; not just to visit the poor victims of my former school but to also assist them in any minor or insignificant way possible. I was not a trained professional... but I had a knack for the healing arts (as I had discovered the spring of my third year with Valetin, Charlie, and Stribog).

St. Mungo's was busy, no doubt dealing with an influx of injuries due to the high concentration of people in the London Quidditch Stadium and the fact that high concentrations of people tended to merit a higher concentration of injuries both minor, magical, and physical alike as part of the nature of the crowd. I let most of the world move around me as the quidditch players were initially moved in and made comfortable in the cots and the beds (I knew better than to try and interfere even in the most remote way when it came to the very first treatments of patients when I had no official license to treat).

I would wait until most of the hubbub had died down and everything had been settled to its quiet humdrumness before I entered quietly (having now doffed my Beater armor and bat, which, admittedly only makes me appear slightly less bulky than I actually am), and stood a bit awkwardly at the door, waiting to watch and gauge the reactions or actions of those who are bedridden, seeing if I can guess if there is any way in which I could ease their pain or make the healing process easier... There had to be at least a few broken bones, dislocations perhaps, or maybe some minor cuts and scrapes that could be easily treated with a bit of good old hydrogen peroxide and Neosporin. I had carried my signature rucksack of a backpack with me in here, and my pale wand was tucked in a water bottle holder on said bag. There is a light hum of delicate metal on thick glass, as Val's golden snidget buzzes around impatiently inside a small glass jar inside the main section of the bag (for safekeeping until I can move it to a better and more suiting place). I turned my red leatherbound notebook chock full of healing remedies and personal notations on the improvement of healing spells and charms in my hands in a mildly nervous (though mostly analytical) way.

I break the silence when one person appears to be vaguely aware of my presence, speaking in fluent English complete with a mild hybrid of a British and Italian accent. "You all played very well. I came to thank you for your competition... and to help you recover so that you'll be able to play for further competitions in the near future." I tap an index finger on the scarlet leatherbound book.

Glancing at the ground for a second I shift my weight minutely from side to side before nodding in a small, almost bow and indicating to myself. "Ah, I didn't introduce myself. I'm Romeo Marchonné, #4, one of the Beaters and co-Captain of Durmstrang for the Yilbegän today."

I keep distance and stay by the entrance, fully aware that I am likely the last person that anyone on this team wants to see at this very moment... but maybe some of them would take to heart my geunity. I really did want to help. Out of respect for a competitor, out of respect for my former school affiliation, and out of respect for the wellbeing of fellow human (or part-human) beings.
Note: If you want, list any injuries that can be treated with basic Muggle first aid or else with common sense/Ferula charm & Romeo will try and heal you with his Healing Sage I in my next post before all hell breaks loose as I am sure that it will. (Romeo does not have Episkey yet as he is not in school yet).

Entering St. Mungo’s directly behind his co-captain, Valentin’s gut twisted from remembering the last time he was here, dashed into a thousand pieces from his own quidditch fall. With the countless hours the daredevil seeker had passed in hospitals, the White Immortal had long since made friends with pain– the real problem was this place’s association with his life’s most abject failure. For as much as Val could pass for being a masochist, his revulsion at his own weaknesses and personal defeats more than made up for his high pain tolerance. Just seeing the familiar ceiling of this hospital ward was nauseating enough for him to want a place to lie down, himself. Looking at the Ravenclaws in their beds, Valentin’s face bore none of the jubilation he radiated earlier when embracing his own team in victory.

“Good game,” Val said in simple English, trying to contain the waves of fatigue swimming through his head. Tugging the hair at the back of his head with both hands, Valentin forced himself to pull it together. He’d need a steady hand to perform high quality spells, assuming any of the birds would even let him approach. “I’m here to help heal you, too.” As clarity returned to his keen eyes, Valentin looked over the players again to assess what minor injuries remained to be treated. Surely the staff were so overburdened right now that they’d overlooked at least some small gashes so they could get to more critically wounded patients. As Val’s silver-amethyst eyes passed over each player, he couldn’t help but love them for taking damage for the great battle that was Quidditch. Sure, they had fallen like toy soldiers, but their battered flesh and bone spoke of mortal creatures with beating hearts of their own. The thought of the enemy team’s beauty purged the last of the sickness from the pale boy, and Valentin smiled. Feeling ready, the seeker pulled out a fox-red wand that seemed to vibrate with excitement at the prospect of finally seeing some action.

While it had originally been Romeo’s idea to come help with the Ravenclaw team’s healing, Valya immediately found it charming. He liked the thought of a unified quidditch community looking out for one another, even if Val himself was too pain-tolerant to have come up with this himself. Although the Frost Captain made it his business to understand and sympathize with others, even when they were quite different from him, he couldn’t help but admire the Italian’s ingenuity and caring spirit.

Without a scratch on him from the game, Valentin wondered how the Ravenclaw players must be feeling right now. He tried to read the faces of the other players as he stepped up next to Romeo’s left side. Valentin felt happy for a moment, listening to the buzzing of the snitch-in-a-jar in Rome's bag, before the wand in Val's hand grew warmer and warmer with anticipation until Val winced with discomfort. Passing it into his left hand and shaking out his right, the white seeker squinted. The smile dropped from his face as Valentin remembered that maybe this wasn't such a rosy scene after all. Romeo's conviction had been so compelling, and it had all seemed so pure... Clenching and unclenching his right hand, Valentin looked back up at Romeo with hopeful eyes. Surely they would turn this into something positive. After all, they were together in this. Couldn't Valya use magic to do something good? Taking a deep breath, Valentin looked down at the wand in his off hand. Maybe he should just stick with the muggle methods Romeo taught him earlier. Even if muggle medicine could be quaint and imprecise sometimes, perhaps it was better than tempting the ghosts latent in Val's bloodline...
