It was a beautiful day outside, and Sienna had decided that the weather simply could not be a missed opportunity. There was a slight breeze in the air, battling the heat, all the while making the temperature perfect. With a bag slung over one shoulder, she had made her way onto a shady spot under a tree on the grounds. The bag held a book and some scattered bits of schoolwork she hadn’t thought to remove before heading outdoors.
The past year had certainly been hectic, and yet she was sad to see the year come to a close. It wouldn’t be long before school was out and the summer camp began. She was still unsure whether to attend or not, for part of her did not want to leave Hogwarts while the other part wanted to get home and see her family.
Her mother had been no help in deciding, she had simply told Sienna that she would support her either way. Secretly, Sienna believed her mother would like if she did decide on staying because of the fight she had put up before the start of the year about not going to the school at all. It was quite amusing for her to think of the time in the year she had been dead set on finishing her first year and not returning for her second, and even more amusing to think that she hadn’t wanted to even come at all.
Her mind still racing with restless thoughts, she took out her book and settled under the tree, beginning to read. The book was very good, one of her long time favorites as a matter of fact. She smiled as her eyes skimmed the familiar text. The peace and quiet of the day was another thing that had prompted her to come out. To her, the less people there were in any given place, the better.

Things were dwindling down as another year came to an end and the brunette had to take a sudden burst of realization to herself as Elena compreheded just exactly what that meant for her. O.W.L year was just around the corner and the Gryffindor visibly shuddered to herself just thinking about that. It was a sign that this castle, homely and welcoming as it was, there would come a time where she'd have to take a step out and venture outwards and the girl wasn't sure if she was quite ready for that. For now, the fourth-year preferred not to think too deeply into the future as it only brought her headaches that she didn't need. For now, she was armed with some fresh pieces of parchment, ink bottles and her quill off to find a suitable location where she could dabble in her artistic mediums savoring the free moments she had now that the professors had eased up on the homework that was being assigned.
That was how you knew the end of year was coming, Elena thought to herself humming lightly. As she made her way down to her preferred spot, it was a good area from where you could get a good sight of the castle and lake and it made for a nice portrait. Elena hadn't gotten it quite right but today would be different. The girl stopped short just a few feet away from the tree she had frequented this year mostly surprised there was someone already under it. It was reasonable, of course but she'd never actually seen someone wandering over her though she presumed it made for a quite lovely spot with the shade and general isolation from everywhere else which was also another reason why the Gryffindor girl preferred this spot. The person in question seemed entirely invested in her book and while Elena wasn't one to rip one's attentio away from something, surely they wouldn't mind sharing, right?
She cleared her throat in lieu of a greeting. "Hi." The brunette said smiling down at the girl who had made herself at home hoping she wasn't about to get lit up for interuppting whatever train of thought this girl had been in. Still, this was the only feasible spot from where you could get a good accurate sketch of the castle and all the other open space was much too close to the chatter of converstation and students. That said, she wasn't opposed to others drifting over here to a spot Elena had practically come to know as her space as she nodded to a patch of grass nearby to where the girl was sitting. "Sorry, don't mean to be a bother but do you mind if I just sit there?" She said holding up her quill and parchment by ways of an explanation hoping the other would understand. "I was just looking for a good vantage point of the castle so I can sketch and this would be perfect."

Truthfully, Sienna did not have any particular place on the grounds she automatically went to. It was just wherever looked peaceful and had the least people around. This shady spot that she currently occupied was incredibly nice though, and not a single soul had yet to come bother her. She supposed it was because it was rather out of the way of everything else, which made it all the more perfect. Sienna made a quick mental note to herself to remember this spot so that she could come back to it in the coming days before the end of school.
Though her book was interesting, she found her train of thought dividing from the plot of the story. She silently cursed herself for letting her mind wander back to the mess that was the decision of summer plans. Without a doubt she knew that her mother would be absolutely no help, but maybe if she wrote a letter to her younger brother? Jack had always been incredibly mature and understanding for his age, and Sienna found herself turning to him for help sometimes, even though she was the elder sibling.
Suddenly, a voice tore her out of her spiraling thoughts. Glancing up, she saw another Gryffindor standing there, and unfortunately the girl was undeniably talking to Sienna. The girl asked if she could sit nearby to sketch the castle. She didn’t really care if the girl sat there or not, she could do as she pleased, but if she did sit there there was no way that
Sienna would so much as speak to her. Flipping the page of her book, she took her time in answering. ”I don’t care. Just don’t bother me and we’ll get along perfectly.”
It was cold and unfriendly, but necessary to get through to the girl that Sienna had no intentions of being friendly. If the girl wanted to sketch, so be it, but that is all that would happen. No conversation, no getting to know each other, nothing but minding their own business. That was exactly the way Sienna liked it, and exactly the way it would be.

Well, it certainly wasn't a very reassuring response if Elena was being honest. The girl acted like any mistep on the Gryffindor's part and this little abode of peace and harmony wouldn't last. The brunette wondered why the girl was being hard as rocks, perhaps that was how she was but that didn't mean you went out giving everyone the impression that you were an ugly bug unless of course, that was this girl wanted. Still, Elena wasn't here to give anyone a philsophical lecture on how to act or how to behave, she had her area of interest to sketch and this girl out of the kindness or really, stubborness of her heart had given Elena Jangleton the good graces to share this small space with her so that she could sketch her little drawing and leave this girl to her own devices, she was getting the feeling the quicker she wrapped up here, the more happier this grumpy student would be.
She graced the girl with a soft smile in an attempt to ease her up a little. "Thanks, reckon I can do that without too much trouble." Elena joked deciding a little bit of light humor never hurt anyone as she settled onto a patch of grass spreading her parchment out in front of her glancing up at the visage of the school that reflected back at them. Her ink bottles were laid out as well as she dipped her quill in them and began the process of drawing a rough outline of the portrait she had imagined in her head of Hogwarts though the steps in doing so were awfully ardous but with an experienced hand like hers, Elena had it mapped out in no time but the everlasting quietness and the condition of maintaining an atmosphere of silence was nagging at her knowing someone was sitting right here.
Surely, a little converstation wouldn't hurt? Words rested on the tip of her tongue but this girl seemed far too invested in whatever book she was reading although whether it was genuine interest or just an act in the hopes she would sod off, Elena didn't know any better. Deciding to keep to her own devices, the minutes dwindled by with the only sound being her quill scratching against parchment as Elena mapped out lines and details with her trained eyes so deeply invested into it she didn't even see her elbow brushing against an ink bottle sending the open phial toppling over spilling the ink towards the other girl. "Sorry! I wasn't paying attention!" She squeaked, her head snapping up at the sound whipping out her wand. "Here, Scourgify." The Gryffindor watched as the black ink quickly flickered away from existence as she glanced up at the girl, her eyes full of apology and regret. "It didn't get on you, did it?"

The older girl looked a bit startled at first when Sienna spoke to her, but after she got over the iciness of Sienna’s tone, she gave her a soft smile. Not many people here, or anywhere if she was being honest, would react to the first year with a smile. From experience she knew that others thought of her as rude, snappy, and as an overall ice queen. Sienna wouldn’t have it any other way though. She knew what people thought of her and she embraced it rather well.
The elder girl joked slightly before taking a seat on the grass nearby. Responding with a calculating eye roll, she returned her gaze to the world of paper and ink in front of her, praying that the girl would take her seriously when she said she had no interest in idle conversation. Carefully flipping a page, she quickly forgot about the other girl and became completely immersed within the pages of her book.
After a bit of reading, she glanced over to where the girl sat. She had been hearing the soft scratch of quills of parchment for some time now, and while it didn’t bother her, she couldn’t help but be just the tiniest bit interested in the Gryffindor’s art. She watched with the faintest glimmer of interest in her eyes as the other girl sketched the castle that Sienna had come to know quite well throughout the year. She could tell that this girl truly loved her art.
All of a sudden, seemingly out of nowhere, one of the open bottles of ink found its way all over Sienna. Her eyes widened slightly, briefly caught off guard as the ink soaked through her clothes. She heard the girl’s hurried apologies and saw her raise her wand to clean it up. Though her face was filled with regret, Sienna couldn’t help but find herself incredibly irritated by her. She had asked, that if the girl were to sit there, that she would not disturb Sienna, and yet she had ended up with ink all over her until it had been spelled off of her. Whatever interest she had in the other girl’s art was gone now. ”As a matter of fact, it did get on me. All over me.” She closed her eyes, trying not to start anything. Instead she simply glared at the girl, waiting for her either to say something or leave altogether.

Any reasonable and functioning person might have understood it and dismissed it as a mistake. Granted, Elena knew it was her fault in the first place for not having control over her own supplies but the girl was making her feel terrible almost as if the end of the world was upon them. The girl didn't seem too appreciative of the fact that Elena Jangleton had gone the extra legnth and even magicked the ink off her robes. No, the issue remained in the fact that the sancity of this place was now ruined and try as Elena might, she had a feeling this girl was about to let her have it. The Gryffindor was not about to be ousted by a younger year but she wouldn't be the first one to start a disagreement, that would just make her immature and childish, something the girl was not.
As if the comments weren't enough, the girl had a rather strong glare that was making her feel like the worst person on the world, No, the ink hadn't just gotten on her, it had dotted every inch of her perfect robes which Elena thought was a rather unfair remark to make. "Like I said, I'm sorry. It wasn't my intention but at least it's not there anymore." She said with an attempt at a smile though her tone had a slight edge to it. Anyone who knew Elena well would know that tone was a warning, it was a red flag not to push her anymore or else, the Gryffindor would show the stranger what it meant to be a member of the lion house. Everly could certainly attest to that but this wasn't Everly Charlton, this was some other girl who for some reason seemed to think that Elena Jangleton was a world criminal for daring to have the audacity to do what she did. Mistakes happened, they weren't perfect but clearly, someone here was having trouble understanding that no matter what she did or said.
The brunette debated with the idea of promptly sitting down and acting like nothing had happened but somehow, she didn't think that would go down very well. "It won't happen again, just a accident. Your clothes are good as new." The girl added on gesturing towards her in a attempt to justify herself. Quite frankly, all this explanation was unecssary the more the girl thought about it. It should have been simple as an apology and they could go on about thier buisness. No, this girl seemed intent on portraying Elena as the guilty one and she had gradually accepted the fate wondering what more Sienna could possibly want from her. Still, the girl held her tongue not wanting to lash out too soon seeing the look of frustration on the other's face. Still, it was a storm waiting to strike, it only mattered which one of them would be the first to invite it in.

────────────────────It was not the fact that the elder girl had spilled a bottle of ink on her, or that she had disturbed the peace of the little space on the grounds. None of those things were the reason that Sienna got angry with the other girl. It was the fact that she had caught Sienna off guard and taken her by surprise when she had spilled the ink. The younger Gryffindor thought being caught off guard or with her guard down was possibly one of the worst things to happen.
The other girl might think that she was being unreasonable, for, what was the saying? Don’t cry over spilled milk? But surely, the girl couldn’t even guess at the real reason Sienna was so upset. With a heavy sigh, she tried to restrain herself from starting an argument with the girl. Another argument was definitely not something she needed right now. If she did start to reply to the other girl, she thought it might come out snappy and rude, so she just kept her mouth shut instead. Not saying anything might be considered ride as well, but it was far better than flying off the hook at the girl.
As the girl continued to apologize and justify her actions, Sienna knew she would have to say something to make the girl shut up soon. Otherwise, she had the feeling this would go on for the rest of the day. ”Yep, great,” she said without emotion. “You cleaned up your mess, congratulations.” As she had thought before, once she started speaking, her words came out as sarcastic and unfeeling. It kind of felt good to let some of her anger out in this way, but she knew the other girl wouldn’t be so forgiving now that Sienna had continued to be rude to her after she had apologized. Ah well, what was an afternoon without a little drama?────────────────────STA: 8 | EVA- 8 | STR- 1 | WIS- 5 | ARC- 4 | ACC- 9────────────────────

She eyed the girl, the sarcasm not missing her at all. Elena didn't know how they had gone from keeping their noses in their own books from suddenly going at each other neck's but if there was one thing the Gryffindor wouldn't stand for, it was this. Yes, she'd made a mistake and even owned up to it but now, this girl still had the audacity to stand there and berate her for something that quite literally anyone could do. The girl did not want to let her temper get the better of her, Elena knew how to tear someone although last time that had happened, a full-blown panic attack had been the result and the Gryffindor really didn't want to go through that again but with the way Sienna was coming off, it was looking very likely the bruntte was gong to have to go onto the warpath.
The drawing was the least of her concerns as her gaze drank in this girl who clearly was not in the mood of any sort of mercy. "Yes, I did." Elena said, a defiant look in her face as Sienna stated the very obvious fact. Elena Jangleton had cleaned it up because it was the right thing to do instead of standing there and acting like a git. "Much more than I could say for some people, I daresay." She said letting the words linger in the air as she eyed the girl almost as if daring her to respond to the veiled threat. Elena was sure she would, it was mostly indirect insults at each other hidden behind their shield of words but very soon, that could come flooding out and when it did, the Gryffindor had more than her fair share of tense confrontations to assure herself this would be nothing more than that and surely, the girl would not be as foolish as to resort to her wand.
It was quite honestly unfair the way all of this was being dumped onto her after what Elena thought was an heartfelt apology but no, that wasn't enough for some people. "Anything else I can do for you?" She said, a certain stiffness to her voice now almost as if warning the other girl any more remarks on her part and she might start seeing a side of the Gryffindor that wasn't as warm and outgoing and certainly not helpful anymore after the treatment she had just received. She had a feeling Sienna might humor her question by telling her to sod off and the girl had a perfect response ready for that as the silent tension in the air readied itself for the explosion of hidden feelings that was about to rock this peaceful little afternoon, it was just a matter of when, the more they prodded at each other with their barbed comments, the more likely it was.

────────────────────God, she had really done it now. Elena was looking at her with anger clear in her features. If Sienna had just stayed up in Gryffindor Tower with her book, she would have never had to get in this petty little argument with the older girl in front of her. She wished that she could explain why she had gotten so upset over the spilled ink in the first place, but talking things out had never really been something that Sienna was good at. Besides, she usually angered people too much for them to actually let her explain. This time was looking to be no different.
As Elena spoke, Sienna found herself getting angry as well. She had no right to say any of what she was. ”Now hold on,” she started. “Just because you were the one to make the mess and mistake, doesn’t mean I wouldn’t have cleaned it up if I would have been in your shoes. But then again, if I were in your shoes, I never would have knocked the bottle over to begin with.” The insult was clear in her words, but she didn’t care about making amends with Elena anymore. If Elena was going to insult her, then she would insult the Gryffindor right back.
The other girl sarcastically asked if there was anything else she could do for Sienna. Though it was clearly not meant to be answered, she decided to anyways, if just to further annoy the girl. “Actually, there is something you can do for me,” she replied. “Stand up, walk in the direction of the lake, and jump in. How about that?” Just for Elena to leave the spot here would make Sienna’s day. At this point, she had nothing else to say and she wanted nothing else to do with her. She simply wanted her to go away so that she could go back to her book, where this argument wasn’t happening.────────────────────STA: 8 | EVA- 8 | STR- 1 | WIS- 5 | ARC- 4 | ACC- 9────────────────────

That had certainly gotten a rise out of the girl. Elena watching as she bristled with sheer hostility at the girl's words as the Gryffindor threw her words at her. Frankly, this was a can of worms that Sienna herself had opened and Elena Jangleton was not in the buisness of closing it anytime soon, the Gryffindor blood in her veins roaring urging her on instead of letting this girl who apparently had a heart made of ice walk all over her. Really, she got this torn up over a bottle of ink, Elena shuddered to think if it had been something else. "Truthfully, if you get this angry over something as small as this, I almost shudder to think what else might set you off." One thing was clear, this girl was a loose cannon and Elena Jangleton wondered who had wronged her in life to have her adopt the personality of a snapping turtle and then decided she might not want to find out.
Elena resisted the urge at her second suggestion, it was unfounded and ungrounded, just an attempt to lash out. "That the best you can do?" She asked, her eyes blazing with a fiery sort of glare as she folded her arms across her chest clearly set in stone sending the message she wasn't going anywhere. "I think you need to take your own advice, cool off a little because you certainly need it." Perhaps it would help her a bit, Elena thought to herself though if she was being honest, she didn't think it would be that easy to undo the damage done here although in this case, Elena that might have felt a little bit sorry about her mistake earlier did not now. The lack of understanding and the inability to acknowledge that no one was perfect was shocking and she was almost regretting cleaning off the spill now, perhaps it would have made for a satisfying sight to see Sienna mope around with that ink stain on her robes.
"So, you're a perfect angel who never gets anything wrong, is that right?" The brunette said with a sarcastic curl of her lips upwards, malice and mockery lining every syllable of her tone. It was the type of stuff she hated, it felt almost arrogant in nature coming from this girl and these were the type of people Elena couldn't stand. "You assume a lot, that might come back to bite you one day but then again, you'd never think such a thing is possible because you have your entire life story mapped out, do you?" The fuse was lit and the Gryffindor girl was hurling out anything that came to mind mostly frustrated at the fact she had made one little mistake and suddenly, she was being made out like she was the next career criminal that Hogwarts would have to deal with which was a rather unfair judgement on Sienna's part.
