On October 26th, 2010, Rani Adler was born in the town of Millom, England. Her parents and her sister Celine, who was five at the time, were all excited to have another addition to their family. You could say that Rani has the perfect family, with her two loving parents and kind sibling. Both her parents and her sister are muggles with no knowledge whatsoever of the wizarding world, so the girl's childhood was fairly normal.

During her early childhood, Rani was a very sweet and bright little girl. She figured out how to read by the age of four, and started to get into writing a few years later at the age of seven. She was a very independent child and loved to hide in her room with a good book, but she also enjoyed spending time with her older sister.

When Rani turned five years old, she started going to a muggle school. Though her grades were pretty good, she struggled to make friends due to her shy nature. During her whole pre-Hogwarts childhood, the only friends she had were her sister and her parents.

If there was one thing the young Rani hated, it was vegetables. She even accidentally made her veggies magically disappear once, just because she hated them so much.

Eleven-year-old Rani received her Hogwarts acceptance letter on a seemingly ordinary day. A stranger visited Rani and her parents and talked with them to explain magic. He informed the family about this magic school she would be going to, called Hogwarts, and a lot of other things they needed to know.
So the next day, they went to Diagon Alley, and even Rani now knew for certain that it hadn't all been a joke. Her parents and sister all made sure she knew how much they would miss her, but they all seemed very happy for her.

---First Instance of Magic---

It happened when Rani was just six years old. The girl was sitting at the dinner table, and in front of her was a plate full of vegetables.
"You need to eat, Rani," Celine said, "Mom said if you don't finish your plate, you won't get ice cream." Rani was still pouting and didn't listen.
"I don't want veggies!" she angrily yelled, "I want ice cream!"
"As I said, no veggies means no sweets," Celine repeated, "If you're not finished once I come back... No ice cream for you." She then left the room.
Rani hissed and shoved some peas onto her spoon. She wanted ice cream, not vegetables! But she had to eat up. The girl brought the spoonful of peas to her mouth and closed her eyes. She sighed and put the spoon into her mouth... But there was nothing. Rani opened her eyes and saw an empty plate. The vegetables had disappeared. For a moment, her eyes widened with surprise. But then she stood up and ran after her sister. "I'm done!" she yelled.
