Closed O.S The Acceptance Letter

I was in the yard when I heard my mother shouting at me:

- Mya! There's a letter for you!

I ran to the house as fast as I could. Finally, it's here! I have been waiting for this moment for weeks. I untied the envelope from Artemis's foot, our owl. The only mail I could receive is…

- My Hogwarts acceptance letter. I said as I opened it.

A smile covered my whole face as I was so happy to finally read this letter. I said out loud:

Dear Miss Clarke,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Please find enclosed list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begin on September 1st. We await your owl by no later than July 31st. To avoid detection by Muggles, please use the entrance located at Kings Cross Station Downtown London on platform 9 ¾. We look forward to having you at our school.

The letter was signed by the headmaster. I couldn't stop smiling. I had no doubt that I would get into Hogwarts. But having this paper in my hands made things real. I waved the supply list under my parents' noses and said:

- We must go to Diagon Alley!

I was ready to leave on the spot but they calmed me down. It was already late and nobody wanted to leave the house.

- We will go later, Honey.

I was a bit disappointed, but it was only a matter of time. I spent the rest of the week asking questions about the school. My siblings were totally annoyed but I couldn't help speaking of it.
