Sen walked into a compartment, putting his trunk away. He looked up at the window. England was wonderful. He looked towards the other compartments, at the children who were chatting amongst each other. Loneliness stabbed at Sen’s chest. Sen sighed. He really wanted to make friends. But how? He stuck his head out of the compartment, praying for someone to sit down next to him. He happened to see the trolley lady. He purchased some cauldron cakes and some every flavoured beans along with some chocolate frogs. As he munched on a chocolate frog, He burrowed his nose into a book he bought with him. He read about the mystifying tales of wizards and witches. He furrowed his brow as he read about dragons. He loved dragons. He always thought they weren’t true but.. I guess they were. He flipped through the page to see an image of an hippogriff. He looked at the amber eyes in wonder. So cool! He wanted to ride one of them sometime. Maybe he would, in care for magical creatures! He reached for a jellybean, inspecting it carefully. You never know! It could be marshmallow, or vomit. He gulped it down, and made a face. YUCK! He got vomit.

Matty walked through and tried to find a compartment. They dragged their trunk through a few areas before reaching the last one. They scanned the rows and saw one with only one kid in it. The kid was looking out of the compartment. Matty heard the trolley lady behind them and stepped out of the way. The trolley lady stopped at the kids compartment and handed them so things. They wondered if they would let them sit there. Matty loved talking with people but never starting the conversation. They were excited for Hogwarts but didn't seem to fit into the many kids going there. They liked to sit quietly too and read books, or write. They made sure to bring a big novel that would take a while to read. They also brought their giant notebook for writing. They saw the kid reading a book and eating a chocolate frog. Matty studied the kid and saw them reach for a jelly bean, making a sour face after. They must have gotten a bad flavor. They walked up and knocked on the door. The kid looked at them and gave a soft smile. Matty waved and the kid patted the spot next to them. Matty took it as an invitation to sit. They put their trunk up and sat across from the other kid there. They smiled at him and talked.
"Hi, I'm Matty. What's your name?"
They learned his name was Sen. Matty really hoped they could be friends. They didn't have that many, really. Maybe 3-4 in total. Plus, Sen seemed cool. He mentioned he liked dragons. Matty was excited to have someone to talk to on this journey.
