The lack of a response was disappointing. But then that was not the girl’s fault. A lot of people tended to be boring unless they put effort into being fun instead. At getting no proper response from the girl, Aryaan instead turned his attention over to the others.

There were lots of words going around, and lots of interactions. People were saying things and introducing themselves or simply remaining quiet. Ahh, good old chaos, how refreshing.

He thought for a moment if he should make a big declaration, try and focus everyone on one thing instead of this smattering of insanity. But he quickly gave that up, it was unlikely that that would work anyway.

Instead the Indian boy focused on something said by one of his fellow stowaways, and muscled his way over to them.

“That’s a very serious accusation.” Aryaan told one a girl. @Pax Zhang, that was the name. “It’s a serious accusation to say that someone here is a rampaging murdering werewolf. What makes you think a werewolf did this, anyway? Hmmm?”

A shake of his head, an exaggerated sigh of disappointment. “So what do you have against werewolves, then?”

So sorry forgot to give credit in my first post Banner by: Emmie Bailey
A lot of things had happened, someone the captain of the ship was presumably dead. Well he wasn't moving. Quinn could feel a few tears form in her eyes, reminded of her grandmother. She wiped her tears. Crying would probably make others uncomfortable, and would make it so Quinn wouldn't have a good time. That's what she told herself.

She took a deep breath to calm down. She whispered under her breath hoping no one heard "Now is not the time for crying" she told herself. She closed her eyes, thinking of her cat. To distract herself from the memory. If she had known better she would have brought him. He was staying at home with her parents.

Great now she was home sick. And sad. This game was going great. She knew the game itself wasn't bad, She just didn't realize she would miss home this much.

Once again she trued to block home from her mind. Distract herself, think of anything other then home. The game, she could do that. Voting for a leader? Sophia works. She was pretty nice, the ‘captain’ of there pirate crew. Yeah that was her one and only reason for voting for Sophia. She really didn’t know anyone else, so her options were very limited.

DAY 1
Controlled chaos ensued on board the Chaos Demon. The search for a leader was underway and those on the ship interacted with eachother in an attempt to get know people better. There were a few scattered votes, as Monica, Beatrice and Florian each got 1 vote. And Pax happened to get 2 votes. At first it seemed as if Xailah or Pierre would win, as both had 3 votes each for them. But Sophia pulled ahead of everyone with a whopping 9 votes. Apparently, a lot of people decided they could trust her to lead them.

As a result, Sophia was elected to be the Chaos Demon's new leader.

After Sophia became the group's new leader, it was nearly dark and the group went to sleep, hoping for a better day tomorrow. However, during the night another murder was committed. But this time it would be more obvious that it had not come about due to an accident, as there were claw marks on the body. Rita would be the unfortunate victim when morning came and those on board got up to stretch their legs and get some fresh air.

Whoever found her body first would probably be traumatized or at the very least shocked.

Eventually, everyone would find out about the newest death and those on board would decide to take matters into their own hands. Someone was responsible for the death and it had to be one of them, as they were at sea and no one else could have done it. Therefore, they decided to take a vote and whoever had the most votes would be forced to 'walk the plank' and splash into a watery death. The only question was who would they vote for?

And why would they do so? Would alliances and enemies be made?
Reminders:
The game is set in a night and day cycle in the 'play' IC.
Mod posts will be posted once every 7 days OOC. But it will only be one day IC.
It was originally every 5 days but since lots of people tend to be busy, I'm changing it to 7.

Calming Presence is ACTIVE to ALL
A new day had dawned, and Walter had tried to spend as much of the night in the crow's nest awake as possible. Wide green eyes watched the waves cautiously, and overhead an evil moon shone bright and white against onyx sky. A leader had been selected, a girl with blue hair... but Walter didn't know anybody here. He wasn't supposed to know anybody here. He was a deckhand and nothing more.

It was rude to go about poking in other peoples' buisness... even if he did have a knack for poking in their pockets more often than not.

The next morning, he and Rimmer picked out a royal blue feather, which Walter proudly put in his hat before carefully making his way down the crow's nest and cargo nets before hitting the deck and almost stumbling head over heels before catching himself.

Oh great. Another body?

Walter's heart beat a bit faster as he once again found himself in an incriminating position. Did he call out to everyone else or did he walk away and hide until someone else came along? He already knew that his first callout and the fact that he spoke very, VERY little English made him an enormous suspect in the eyes of the people on board... but there was very little that the young deckhand could do to dissolve their concerns other than plead his innocence and his story of asylum.

Rimmer nuzzled Walter's cheek, and Walter eventually decided to walk away from the corpse that lay there on the deck. He wanted to not be seen. He wanted to see others react. The young kid's life was potentially at stake. He wasn't in the mood for dying quite yet.

As he went to hide among barrels and ropes, the boy ran through his thoughts on the meeting the other day. There was one person in particular that he did suspect. He didn't know what her name was... but all Walter knew was that he didn't trust her. It was an aura, a presence, a way that she held herself that just didn't feel right.

At the meeting, he would bring up that concern by means of pantomime and writing, the concern that throughout the meeting, a certain somebody had not even spoken a word to the rest of the group. The point would stand. Walter didn't trust anyone... but this person especially.

Aurelia Notresvace: Bad vibes all around. I don't trust her in the slightest. She didn't even say a word at the first meeting. Maybe that speaks to something else.

Akira: Seems strategic and collected. I notoriously distrust these types. Consider them a potential risk.

Quinn: Seems upset by this. Maybe she knows that she's the one doing it? Maybe she's being legitimate?

Pax: One of the ones that seemed to form a certain sect of voting for one another. Is there an alliance between some people here? Are the wolves working together? Why am I suspected by them?

Xailah: Looks like a captain. Also looks shady... but I'd rather put my trust in someone who at least trusts me back a bit than someone who thinks I'm crazy. Be cautious, but also hopeful.

Hunter: Seems a bit like me in a way that I can't quite place. May need a bit more time to assess him.

Vivienne: Quiet... cast a vote quickly and seemed unbiased. Observe.

Nessie: Also rather blank insofar as assessments. Observe.

Sophia: Impressive collection of 12 votes total. She must be liked... but maybe her voters are worth looking at for suspect (potential blending in with the crowd), even if she is a confirmed human.

Aryaan: Seems to be a voice of reason and not immediately jumping to pointing fingers. Voted for me... but still keep an eye out.

Emma: A prefect at our school, but titles don't matter at sea. May try to use the position of authority as an upper hand.

Opelia: Strange, almost shady. I'd keep an eye on her, though a cunning mind may prove helpful in this strait.

EmmaLee: Another young one, but I don't put it past young people. They often have more wisdom than the most ancient adult.

Beatrice: Duellist, may have experience with strategy. If we determine her role, it may reveal more about how to act with her allies.

Astrid: Seems skeptical, and is a friend of Charles'. Sounds like she suspects me a bit.. but I can't control how others think.

Florian: I need more time to assess.

Monica: I need a bit more time to assess. Stay wary.

@Piérre Marchonné

Sophia wasn't Xailahs first pick when it came to selecting a captain. Obviously. Her vote had been cast for Piérre after all. In the end his three vote streak was broken by the blue-haired girls impressive nine votes. The selection had been intriguing at first, but as the votes steadily trickled in, intrigue turned to confusion. Why her, was all Xailah could think. Clearly she was familiar to many of the impressionable younger years, but the girl wasn't exactly what one would call "captain material". Now Pax on the other hand- one of the first few to throw in their vote for the blue-haired girl- was a different story. Dismissing the fact that Pax was a captain outside of this game- quidditch captain to be exact- they displayed many assets that were desirable in a strong leader. They knew how to draw attention to themselves, and they were very vocal- they obviously had no problem speaking publicly. Sophia however... never said much. Actually, to Xailah's knowledge, she hadn't said a thing yet. It was almost as if Pax was playing the voice for Sophia. They likely knew they would be able to sway the majority, if the new captain could not. The more she thought about it, the more Xailah thought that voting Sophia in as leader was just a front. It wasn't that she doubted the girls ability to captain a ship, more so she was leery of it.

Nevertheless, the whole ordeal brought rise to many questions- especially ones concerning the relationship between the Gryffindor quidditch captain and the ship captain. Xailahs guess? Sophia and Pax were likely both werewolves and in cahoots. It made sense, not to mention it would have been a clever tactic on the part of the wolves. The best way to overtake a group was to overthrow their leader and put your own in their place. Like how a cuckoo might place one of its own eggs in a nest of unknowing little birds. It was only obvious that the egg belonged to a cuckoo, once it hatched was the only baby bird left to occupy the nest.

Alas, it was too early to throw out such a theory. Xailah would likely be the one walking the plank if she did so- she had seen how many crew members were so willing to toss in a vote all willy-nilly. It only took one good speaker to convince this crew apparently, and Pax was just that. For now her silence was an act of self preservation. For now.

The new day was welcomed with yet another killing. This time a wolf had gone after a member of the crew, further fueling Xailahs reason to suspect the new captain and those associated of committing the crime. The prefect didn't know much about the newest victim, only that she was quiet and had easily gone unnoticed throughout the day prior. As much as it make her sick to think it, she couldn't help but admit that the girl was the perfect victim really. It was likely the werewolves on board would continue to pick off the quiet ones. And at sunrise? They would still follow suit, just as their role of crew member.

It became clear that the crew was going to be forced to take matters into their own hands, in the form of more votes. There had to be a better way of going about this whole thing, but an alternative would most likely end the game quickly. Piérre was the first to toss in a vote, Xailah followed, after seeing that no one else was quick to pipe up yet. It wasn't a concrete vote, and would very likely change should some evidence come out. It was better to throw in a temporary opinion, than none at all.

The lioness would find herself moving towards Piérre. When in casual talking distance she would prop herself up against the nearest structure that could support her weight. She would look at the gemstone-eyed boy, arms crossed, and a question lining her lips. She did not speak for all could hear. Someone would have to be standing close to pick out what she was saying. "Why Aurelia?" It was a genuine question, not meant to come across as interrogation. She was curious. Something was... off about Aurelia- having been her former roommate for nearly two years, Xailah knew that much. But what drew suspicion now; here, during the game? Was it that drifting feeling of unease that usually followed her? Or did her quietness draw alarm? There were far too many factors to consider, it was hard to settle on just one.

Should Piérre answer the question in a way that implied he was speaking as his character Walter, Xailah would look to him with a perplexed expression. Neat brows screwed themselves up. "Oh." She would frown- not at him, mind you- the whole character thing was just a little confusing. Surely it would cause some complications. "You are in character aren't you?" She palmed at the back of her head in idle thought, eyeing the blue plume that stuck out of his hat. "What is your character's name?" If she was going to have to work alongside him, then she might as well get to know Not-Piérre. You know, form alliances early. She also supposed she should make a character of her own, to reduce confusion, which was a task she would find surprisingly challenging. But after a minute of hesitation she would reel up a new pirate-y name for herself. "You can call me Dutchess, if it suits you." Who was Dutchess other than a name? Uh... that part was still being worked out.

Voting for Aurelia, however this may be subject to change if other posts are made.

As Florian listened to those in the group, he began to realize that many were actually getting into the 'role,' pretending to be certain characters. Being a charming fellow was something Florian knew how to do, acting, on the other hand, was not exactly in his wheelhouse. The thought of it still sounded fun to the young boy, however, so he decided to give it his all.

Swashbuckler Florian certainly had a ring to it.

Florian is now attempting to act as 'Swashbuckler Florian.'

The next morning, the ship once again awoke to the death of a crewmate, and this time it was someone that had boarded with the lot of them. Florian vaguely recognized the girl from the 'day' before, and he would kneel down to investigate the body. "Another werewolf attack, no doubt about it." he would stand up and sigh a bit overdramatically, unsure of how someone would actually act in this situation. The next steps were clear, however. Someone would have to be accused and charged of the crime. That was simply the way the cookie crumbled when it came to Pirate Law.

Problem was, Florian had no idea who had committed the crime. It wasn't like werewolves had flashing 'I'M A WEREWOLF!' signs above their heads, instead they would do their best to blend into the crowd. However, Florian felt the best course of action here was to see what their captain thought. He had voted for her despite not knowing her, although he didn't know anyone, so was it really that big of a deal?

"Captain, do you have any thoughts? Unfortunately I didn't catch any strange happenings last evening." Swashbuckler Florian said matter of factly.

Thinking of the Captain also caused him to ponder on the girl who had voted for him as Captain. Surely she had some common sense if she could see just how great Swashbuckler Florian was. He would approach her next, introducing himself in a quite a grandiose manner. "Ahoy, Ahoy, I am Swashbuckler Florian LeRoy." He would then bow to her, and tip an imaginary pirate hat. He would go on to ask if she had any thoughts on the discussion at hand, then adding in a whisper, "Well, it could be Aurelia, but at this point it could be anyone. I bet there are more than one too." he would tell her, his French Accent strong.

For now Florian would go along with Walter Wolf, since he really didn't have a lead on anyone else. Florian could possibly be swayed, but someone had to go.

Calming Presence is ACTIVE to ALL
After more people had discovered the body, Walter would slowly return, quiet but smiling softly in an attempt to lighten the mood. It didn't do a ship well to be low on morale when on the seas, especially when dealing with potential dangers. Cool heads and strong leaders were needed in order to cause an entire ship to function. Hysteria would not do at all.

Xailah came over to him, asking him why his choice of vote was Aurelia. Not wanting to be confusing when he spoke his native tongue (a language that not many people here seemed to know), Piérre dropped his character enough to shrug and share his thoughts, though a heavily accented English gave away his propensity of staying in character. "She hadn't spoken at all when we first saw the body. No surprise, and no assistance in a vote." and the haunting sensation that she exuded when she came close. "And something about her is just... off. I don't like it." He laughed a bit as he scratched his neck, trying to formulate his thoughts in a respectable way. "I mean... innocent until proven guilty, I guess... but anyone who doesn't have a reaction, no matter how small, to finding a body concerns me."

Piérre hesitated, glancing at the elected leader and the ones that had voted for her. "Her, and everyone that seemed to vote in a circle. What do you think makes her so popular? I don't trust the vote. The werewolves might be trying to blend in."

The Britalian smiled as Xailah caught onto his little roleplaying gig. "Sì. Yes." He affirmed lightly, nodding as he began to speak full Italian instead of accented. "Mi chiamo Walter Wolf. My name is Walter Wolf." He indicated to himself as he spoke. He then indicated to the silver cat around his shoulders. "Sono Rimmer! This is Rimmer!"

A little bit more about himself, maybe? He pointed towards the crow's nest. "I seek land. My English speak... none good. I understand, though. Posso solo parlare bene l'italiano. I can only speak Italian well."

At hearing Xailah's own profession of a character name, Piérre and Walter smiled. "Piacere di conoscerla, Duchess. A pleasure to meet you, Duchess." Walter thumbed his cap to her.

Walter chewed his lip a bit at this potential new ally. He was still mildly worried that perhaps his trust was ill-placed... but maybe this was genuine. Even if Duchess was a werewolf, surely a werewolf had use for a human. Maybe if he bartered correctly he could convince one werewolf to convince the others to spare him until they made landfall... Then at least Walter himself would be able to escape before anything too bad happened.

Peering around again as he crossed his arms carefully and leaned against a canon, Walter indicated to the rest of the people, nodding to them. "Di chi sospetti? Who do you suspect?" He looked up to her for a second before indicating to the crowd and then making a small charade of baring claws and teeth and then shrugging. "Mannaro Werewolf? Wolf... man."

The language barrier would be a challenge... Walter was likely a suspect... if only because he was difficult to understand.

Bluemane approached the Captain's Quarters with a heavy heart. She'd planned on stealing - er, commandeering - the ship at some point, preferably when all of this 'werewolf' business was over, but this was ridiculous. Who chose a captain by vote?

It was lucky that she was an experienced Captain. Even if her ship - The Raven's Claw - had since sunk alongside with her treasure, she was still a captain, damn it, and she would eventually regain her glory and reputation.

No good could come of such an easy election. She wouldn't survive long, she could feel it in her bones. Still, for as long as she did live, she would enjoy the cool breeze above the sea she loved so dearly.

She slept easily for the first time in weeks.

...only to be awakened by the chattering of the crew aboard the deck. A quick scan of the area revealed yet another body.

"Argh, what in the blazes be happenin' down there?" she shouted in annoyance.

"Bring the lookout before me, and lower the sails. We have to make it to port, lest we all share the sod's fate."

This was a disaster. They were dropping like flies, and there was no guaranteed evidence regarding the identity of the killer. She pulled her hip flask from her pocket and took a big swig of rum juice before walking to the figures chatting on the deck.

She pulled her captain's hat from her head, placing it respectfully over the face of the dead body. She was a pirate, but she wasn't a savage.

"Alright. One by one, what d'ye lot know? What'd ye see?" she asked harshly, before turning to Walter. "In English, please."

She took yet another swig of rum juice from her hip flask and looked around. Gossiping in small groups was one thing, but they needed a solid plan as a crew. To compare evidence, eyewitness reports. Still, regardless of the consensus of guilt, there was work to be done.

"And hurry it up, that ye may return to yer posts. If we keep lollygaggin', we'll never reach port."

She turned and swaggered over to the side of the ship, watching the rolling waves as she listened to the theories of the others.
