The morning had started off very uneventful for Reena, and quite boring. At least, as boring as things can get with Irene Delgado. A sudden argument between two girls had caused Reena to shoot up in her bunk, bumping her head on the bottom of the bed above her. "¡Oh mierda! Her hand shot up to her head as she tried to blink the sleep from her eyes. "I'm up!" She turned over and fell off the side of her bed, shooting to her feet. The bump didn't seem to bother her. What bothered her was how EARLY it was. The sun wasn't even UP yet. So why were these girls? She reached for her brush, figuring that she might as well get ready. While she got dressed, she listened to the argument of the girl's shamelessly. If they didn't want to be overheard, then they shouldn't be yelling in the middle of a dorm. But that was about it, the only exciting part of her day.

until... lunch.

Reena was walking in the great hall, jamming to music in her head. She danced while she walked, singing the lyrics under her breath. Without her two best friends from London, she was left to be weird all on her own. Her friends had the mindset that her strict parents had sent her off to boarding school because of all the times her loud mouth has gotten her in trouble. Her parents went along with the lie, which resulted in her friends hating her parents. They had promised to send her letters EVERY SINGLE day, which Reena was very thankful for. Her friends got the twisted version of the drama here, and all the tea on cute boys. Hogwarts honestly wasn't slacking on the cute boy part, which her friends gushed over. But when they all got serious, her friends made her promise she would be herself. That she wouldn't become a stupid posh girl like every single spoiled girl.

And here she was, fulfilling the promise. Remaining her care-free self, twirling down the great hall. And then...

Something about a cat. She came to a sudden stop, spreading her arms out as if to stop herself from spinning throughout the room. She stumbled and caught her balance, whipping her head around. A boy. He was talking about his cat. His cat needed a PET SITTER. THIS WAS HER CHANCE TO BE NEAR A CAT WITHOUT STEALING. "HI HELLO HEY" She ran over as fast as she could, diving into the seat next to the boy. "I couldn't help but overhear that you need a pet sitter? A CAT sitter? Well, sir-" She stood straight and pointed to herself. "I would LOVE to help with that because I know so much about cats and I can handle just about anything and I'll love it, feed it, give it water, and never EVER take my eyes off of your cat!" She took an excited breath. She was doing great! She was being so convincing, and the cat would be under her watch in NO time. She should open a cat sitting business! All the cuddles and cute little beans you could get! What more would anyone want? "So can I please please please please please help you?"

"Right, and his name is Loki, you said? Look, I don't want you to worry! Everything is under control. " She assured the boy, almost to his height. She was 5'3, while he was standing at 5'6. How's that for being tall for your age?

Henry turned a page of his book, his morning spent within the walls of the library. Loki seated on the chair besides him as the minutes ticked away. The teen scanned his gaze over the words, reading carefully as the morning sun faded into the afternoon. Lunch would be starting in the great hall any moment. The teen thought about skipping the meal as usual but decided to go only to see friends.

The teen set his books back in their proper places then walked from the library to the hall, Loki perched on his right shoulder. The silence grew. Henry preferring his thoughts as he drew in a breath only to find the silence disturbed by a first year Slytherin lad who Henry tutored a few times in charms. Loki let out a low growl, the feline never liked the lad mainly since he has an allergy to feline fur. The teen looked him over, nodding to his words. Emotions hidden behind the barrier, only a soft smile could be seen.

"Henry! uh- would you mind helping me with my homework? It will only be for an hour, promise," the Slytherin lad spoke, and Henry eyed him, he didn't have anywhere to be but usually he had a friend watch Loki for him since the first years has a cat allergy and the teen wasn't currently with a friend who could watch his beloved feline as he spoke'I would but I don't have anyone to watch Loki currently and you can't be near-" The teen found his words cut by a girl who seemed bubbling with energy about looking after Loki.

The orange feline eyed his owner then looked over at the girl, sniffing the air as he stared judging the first year. The teen wasn't sure how-to response, the Slytherin did need help, but Loki is difficult to handle. Not only did he have trust issues, but the feline also has never been the most loving after all he doesn't purr. Loki is also known for trouble and cunning around the school, specifically in his dorm. The teen eyed the girl as he spoke"listen, you seem excited, but I don't think so. Loki has trust issues and he's smarter than most animals, even people so I don't think-"

The girl continued to provide why she could watch the feline, after a bit the teen gave in. Allowing her to watch him for the hour, a small whistle. The feline jumped from his owner's shoulder and stood a bit away from the girl as Henry spoke" remember he has trust issues and doesn't like to be held; he knows a few commands but is known to cause trouble and doesn't always listen. He isn't like other felines, and I'll meet you back here in exactly one hour to collect him from you and yes, his name is Loki." Henery explained before wishing the girl luck and leaving for the charms class to tutor the Slytherin lad.

Loki sniffed the girl, a single meow to act as his approval. He still sat a bit away from her, eyeing her carefully.

Loki notes for rp/godmoding
- Only in this thread do I allow Reena and Maricus to godmode Loki
- Loki has trust issues so he trusts Reena and doesn't trust Maricus
- Don't rp Loki purring or acting loving toward your character because that isn't his personality
- Maricus, since Loki doesn't trust you ic then you can rp the feline growling softly, judging Marcius, swatting at Marcus if he tries to touch him, and generally keeping his distance
- Reena, since Loki trust you ic then you can rp the feline standing by Reena, offering a single meow, judging Reena, tapping the girl with his paw once to ask for attention via petting
- Loki doesn't like to be held
- Loki doesn't chase rodents or small animals, he isn't your typical feline and isn't that playful but would wander off on his own
- Loki's ency
- If you want to godmode the feline doing another action please owl me :)
Henry left the thread and will be returning to the thread a bit later ont

Still ecstatic that she had convinced the boy to let her watch the cat, she listened intently. However her brain skipped over a few words, only taking in a few words. All she could focus on was how cute this cat was. The boy seemed anxious to let Reena watch his feline, which was so weird. Reena was responsible! Right? Sure, she's messed things up many, many, many times before but that doesn't mean she wasn't capable of things. So what, the cat had trust issues. He causes trouble and doesn't always listen- "If I'm being honest, sounds like me." Reena wasn't the best at listening nor following directions, but the boy didn't need to know all the details. Reena smiled at the cat, bubbling with joy. "I mean- uh. I listen, all the time. I don't know why I said that. I'm super responsible." She clasped her hands together behind her back and smiled at the boy.

"Have fun! Or don't- but I'd rather you had fun. Don't worry, Loki is in great handss!" She let the boy leave before turning to the cat. It was orange, sort of like the paint color she uses when painting flowers. She tilted her head at the cat, who looked back at her with a silent judging look. She pressed her lips together and raised her eyebrows, trying to look like she was judging the cat, too. He eyed her carefully, and Reena watched with interest. He'd be a great painting subject! Holy heck. "Well, Loki. I'm Reena! And you're so lucky, because I am your cat sitter!" She sat down slowly and let the feline sniff her before meowing. She didn't know what that meant.

But it seemed like they were off to a great start! Reena grinned happily out of no where, letting out a loud laugh. "You're so CUTE!" Her laughing only made her laugh more. The cat's judging face made the situation ten times funnier. When she was done, she pulled out her sketch pad. The cat didn't seem to be going anywhere right now. "Well, if you don't mind- I'm going to sketch you for a painting!" Laying the pad on her lap, she pulled out a pencil. "You know- I've never seen a pencil in this school- except for the ones I have! Thank goodness my mom sends them through owls." She chuckled, glancing at the cat. She sketched the overall shape, humming a song.

She felt a small tapping on her knee and glanced up, coming out of her thoughts. "Oh, Loki! Uhhh" Was she allowed to pet him? She lifted her hand, moving it to the cat. "can I pet you?" She remained calm, but she was screaming on the inside. She gently pet Loki and grinned ear to ear. This cat was SO SOFT! Why was it so SOFT?! It was so cute! It wasn't purring, but it let Reena pet him for a few more seconds before deciding he was finished. "aw." She felt a bit disappointed, but the cat was still here!

She went back to sketching the cat after watching it carefully for a few seconds. She bobbed her head up and down as she hummed a song once more. Frowning at her light sketch, something wasn't right about it. She couldn't exactly paint it, if it wasn't neat enough. The eye wasn't right. She glanced up again. "Loki- hey, boy! I need to see your f-" There was no feline face, judging her. There was no orange cat, sitting a few feet away. She shot up to her feet, her heart racing in her chest. "Loki? LOKI!" There was no way she lost the cat! She would of seen it, right? Or heard it?

Dang those soft paws, sneaking away without a sound! She began to imagine how mad the owner would be. She's seen what angry students do at Hogwarts. What if he cast some awful spell on her? The possibilities were really endless. She took a breath and tucked her hair behind her ear. This had o be solved, calmly.

Two seconds later, she burst out the classroom at lighting speed. She tried to stop her momentum, skidding on her shoes. She slid into the wall opposite to the door, stumbling. She shook her head and ran down the corridor, searching every nook and cranny. "Loki? Here boy!" She didn't know why the cat snuck away. She thought the cat sort of, kind of, maybe liked her!

One might say, so far Reena had had mixed lucks that afternoon. Good luck, she had managed to persuade a total stranger to let her pet-sit his cat, which also seems to be her favourite animal, at least as guessed by someone who could see her interacting with the cat. Bad luck, she had lost him. Another good luck and Marius Brown, an animal lover, happened to pass by.

Marius knew nothing about what had just happened to Gryffindor except that she looked distraught. The Hufflepuff felt sorry as he spotted the panic-looking student, and decided to approach her to ask if there was anything he could help with. Fortunately for Reena, the Chinese-English boy knew nothing of her words earlier. If only he did, he might not be as willing to offer help as he was right now, since he may either consider her drunk or an attention-seeker. (Sure Marius himself was also an emotional individual, but usually he was not as open when it came to expressing his feelings. He had the tendency to at least attempt to keep them only to himself and those closest to him, for he never wanted to be mistaken as an attention-seeker, a human characteristic he himself despised.)

"Hey," he said in a friendly tone as he approached the fellow preteen. "Are you all right? Do you need some help?"

If I were a cat where would I go? Why did he run away, am I not good enough for the cat? Well fine! Oh, but he's so cute I can't be mad! I need to find him! Oh, I'm so dead! Was about all that circulated through her mind at this moment. Oh, how she wished to be granted the mercy of silent thoughts at this time, to be able to think clearly. However, her wishes would not come true as she could not even find a clue of the cat. One passing by might not be able to hear her thoughts, but from her face and hand gestures the conversation in her head was just about obvious. Reena: Panic?
Conscience: Panic Panic.
Reena: Yes. panic.

Lost in her thoughts, she proceeded to finish off her desperate stumbling (because it would be rude to not) Before accepting that she would not find a cat if she continued to go about in such a manner. She wrung her hands and looked around the hall for the millionth time, as if expecting a big sign to say 'LOST CAT OVER HERE' But nothing changed. The cat was not in this hall. "Ugh" Well that summed it up very well.

Only a few seconds, and someone approached her. Reena glanced over to the boy and fixed her gaze on him. He was offering to help her, even though he didn't know what was wrong. He was kind. She smiled, relief flooding her face. "Yes, actually. I do. " She could only hope that when she spoke, she didn't sound irresponsible (even if she was). She took a breath and started to explain. "So I was watching someone's cat for them, and I got distracted since I was drawing a picture of the cat and it was so silent that it snuck out without me even noticing and now I don't know where he is." She then realized that she had made two excuses in that small explanation. She understood it was her fault, but taking responsibility was never fun, was it?

Now that this kind boy was here, she felt slightly better. Two pairs of eyes was always better than one, right? Perhaps they had a chance now. "So, um. He is orange, like a ginger, and his name is Loki. According to the owner he doesn't do 'cuddles' and all of that. Also I think he has a hard time trusting people." This didn't sound too impossible, did it? Two kids trying to find a cat with trust issues. But Reena simply didn't believe that the cat (or anyone!) could not like her. Surely, the cat sort of liked her, right?

Clearly more energized, she straightened her posture. "Well! Unfortunately, we do not possess the power of time nor are we doctors who go by the name 'doctor strange', so time is still moving even when we're not! Let's get looking!" She pointed forward with a cheerful bounce in her step. Then she turned around to look at the boy again. "Where should we even look first?" She had no plan what so ever. But maybe the boy knew some places?

The Gryffindor began telling Marius about how she was responsible for looking after someone's cat but losing it, and the Hufflepuff immediately sympathised with all of them - the girl, the cat, and its owner human. It certainly was a scary thing, to have a big responsibility and realising that you seemed to have messed it up. And the cat's human! How would they feel if they found out their beloved was lost? Of course they would be terribly heart-broken and panic! The cat - what would happen to it?

Reena gave Marius some descriptions of the cat, to which the first year nodded. It would certainly help to know some characteristic of the little lost dearie. But the boy's brown eyes bulged at the mention of its name - who on Earth would name their pet after the cunning figure in Norse mythology, or after a Marvel villain? But then again, people were getting increasingly "insane" in choosing names (take for example, the parents of his classmate at Muggle school, who named their poor child Queen Jewellery).

"So, orange and not that friendly to new people," he restated. "Any other identification, such as a collar? And... do you have any idea when it went away? It may make a difference where it is now - I mean, if it's just two or three minutes ago, maybe it's still on this floor. But if it's ten minutes ago, perhaps it is now outdoor." And then quickly, to prevent any potential panic reaction from the Gryffindor, "Just my thought."

Reena stared at the boy as if he was speaking another language. Did Loki have a collar? Was she supposed to pay attention to that? She opened her mouth to speak but closed it. "Good question." Then she proceeded not to answer. Did she know when Loki left? Ok. Who did this kid think she was, some sort of responsible person? She almost rolled her eyes before remembering that he was helping her. Rolling her eyes would make him leave. The boy explained that if it left recently, it couldn't be far. "You mean he could be outside?!" Her heart skipped a beat and she thought quickly. She honestly was not sure when the cat left, but she was crossing her fingers that it was recently. "I mean... probably not. I'm super sure he like- just left or something." Even though she was not sure. She forced a smile.

And then she felt a bit awkward. She glanced at her wrist, suddenly wondering the time. She had no watch, but glancing at her wrist was an impatient habit of hers. "The longer we discuss where he is the further he is- we really shouldn't chit chat." She realized she sounded a bit impatient and rude. He was the one helping, she had no right to be bossy. She hasitally added "Just my thought." And then realized it made her sound like a jerk for 'mocking' him. She mentally kicked herself.

"You know what? I reckon he's just on the next floor or something. Come on." She said, trying for a much lighter and kinder tone. She began to walk, glancing at every movement at the corner of her eye. Even if she was sure the cat wasn't in this hall (much less this floor) she still would look just in case he managed to slip by.

Marius' feelings constantly changed as the panicking girl gave different reactions from time to time; it was as if even the slightest tick of time inspired her to modify her mood and thoughts, and her words and physical reaction naturally reflected them.

First, she seemed to get panic at his suggestion that the cat might be outside; but he had anticipated it, so it did not really surprise or annoy him. Her next reaction, though, was calmer compared to the first, and she told him that it may not be possible since she was very sure the cat had just left. Perhaps it was her voice, or perhaps it was the look in her eyes, but Marius felt that her claim was not true. However, he decided to say nothing and take her words.

And then suddenly she seemed to be all more practical, telling him it would be a bad idea for the two to chit-chat. She even added "just my thought", as if copying his earlier speech, and he was like,Is she mocking me? They were not chit-chatting, they were simply discussing and analysing the probability of the cat's current location.

Following this, her tone softened, and she said Loki might just be on another floor in the school. The Hufflepuff said nothing, but he went with the Gryffindor. He currently had no idea where the cat could be, so perhaps a direct search would work better. Maybe he would get a better idea later.
