Kaegen Deathmote, Fens-Born Scarf-Wielder. He who was called fat tadpole as a babe, suicidal idjit as a toddler and he who earned the name Eeh before arriving at Hogwarts. He who lost two and gained one. He whose names are given authority by Grandfather, whose authority is given him by the conqueror of the 14th dark place.

By some cruel chance, or perhaps fate, some stars aligned to provide the boy with a wand that suited him perfectly. 25,1 centimeters, cherry wood and dragon heartstring. The wand was unyielding, cheeky and malicious. Perfect for adventures. Cherry wood by itself is a powerful wand wood indeed, mysterious to be sure, but above all, it was lethal. Olivander himself said that the cherry wood was best paired with the powerful, flamboyant and deadly dragon's heartstring.

Episode One: The blur of life

Kaegen's first year. Too much trouble to go back and actually sort all of this, so I'll do a recap and try harder for second year! Kaegen came to hogwarts on a train, melting half the compartment with a acid salamander named vortigern. He was energetic and smooth and fast. Soon, he made a friend. Eris. However the friendship was rather temporary, as a series of events caused by the death witch airheat (eri windstone) left Kaegen bloody and almost dead with a shattered friendship. Grandfather saved him but took away the boy's pets as punishment, deeming him not responsible enough to care for them. The ravenclaw managed to patch his friendship and redoubled his bond with Eris, Writing her name down on his scarf. He later ran into a second death witch, Bones Cull-Them (ebony cullen) who he barely bested.
He ran into several other violent students and managed to come out more or less on top every time, with the exception of bean.

Episode Two: Monsters everywhere

His second year, Kaegen is on his way to hogwarts. He has a short interaction with a Death witch and her two companions at Madame Malkin's. But this one was worse than the others, trying to steal Kaegen's name from him. He barely managed to escape.
Kaegen runs into a bleeding girl by the lake and his mind tears at itself, warring between some unknown fear and the hunger for her blood. Kaegen doesn't understand what's going on and runs after hearing a mysterious voice mock him for acting like prey
Kaegen runs into the threat level nine death witch from madame malkins in The corridors, and tries to kill her. He manages to knock her out, however he honored his promise as a prefect and chose to save the life of an injured and terrified omb over finishing off the death witch.
Night time panic attack Kaegen tries to help an omb when the death witch shows up. Kaegen attempts to kill her, but fails, only succeeding at knocking her out. He was stopped from finishing her off only by his promise to be a good prefect, this promise driving him to go and save the omb, that had injured itself while blacking out. He talked with the omb, spreading seeds of doubt. What if he's not entirely human?
A good read The death witch shows up again, along with the annoying girl from the common room, demon. Kae was trying to ask professor thurston if he could teach the boy some killing spells, but was told that there was a no fighting zone around the professor. A zone promptly breached by demon, who got stopped by the professor. Fearful of losing control, Kaegen left the room.
Kaegen engages in an epic battle in the corridors (uncomplete, this is headcanon) and manages to escape after severely injuring several students
Kaegen celebrates his own birthday to see what it's like, but is interrupted by another death witch in the great hall
Kaegen finally discovers what he is, after a duel with professor adelaide ayers in the Corridors
Kaegen's friend turns away from him in fear here. He's been staying up trying to get stronger, and is at his wits end. The new year has been horrible, a string of stress and attacks that never seem to relent. He hardly sleeps at all, and the dhampiric blood in his veins is taking advantage of his clear weakness.

History
[font=monotype corsiva]Kaegen Deathmote was raised in the questionable care of Grandfather, a old house elf. Never having been told what a house elf was, Kaegen assumed Grandfather was his real grandfather and also human, just with weird long ears and nose. Grandfather raised the boy to be twisted and unpredictable, giving him strange tasks that made no sense or beating him for not completing a task he wasn’t told to complete.
Not having anything to compare it to, Kaegen took the constant state of worrying, stress and paranoia to be the norm. Outside of the house and away from Grandfather was even worse. The fens were full of strange magical creatures and small pools of water that looked like puddles, but that stretched hundreds of feet down into the earth.
Always worrying about something being about to eat him or worse, the young boy grew to be very quiet from birth. Never being loud took a toll on his voice, making it weak. In actions, too, the boy grew quiet. He always moved with a strange smoothness that adhered to everything he did. Never making sudden movements until he was ready to strike. He moved like a part of nature, like the rippling grass or a softly fluttering leaf.
The fens were all he knew, his mother and father coming by at least once a year, sometimes more, for his birthday. Every year for his birthday his mother and father took turns giving him a present of a single hug. One year it was father’s turn, the next it was mother’s. Kaegen does not remember their faces, but he does remember the hugs and what they felt like.
He would hunt for weak prey in the fens using a hunting slingshot, that he brought with him to Hogwarts. He is proficient in both the hunting slingshot and in the many knives he carries strapped to him underneath his robe. However, all the time he spent working on his hunting skills and being quiet was time he did not spend studying. Kaegen loves to read but does so slowly.[/font]
