Mentioning @Peggy Paisley
Walking through the narrow pathway, he glance at the compartments around him. Containing people of all sizes and ages. Some having colored accessories worn atop the school robes. The boy self concisely gazing down at his own attire: a simple white collared long sleeve shirt and khaki pants. His hair messily parted to the right with his glasses accenting his jade eyes. Making a mental note to change in his own robes once he found an empty compartment. Quietly his feet walked along, muffled chatter coming from his sides as he journeyed. Coming to a stop to observe a loner, sitting by themselves in their own compartment. Still in what appears to be there everyday wear. Looking to the other side of where he stood, Philip was greeted with an empty compartment.

Opening it and sliding it closed he looked around. The room was basked in a warm light coming from the sunlight outside. Heavy gray curtains hanging around its side, easily closed if he wished. The cushions where an appealing red he associated with maroon. Arm rests coming off the wood marking where one seat ended and the other began. With a sigh he placed his trunk onto the velvet cushions. Opening it and grabbing what was needed, placing it on the soft cushion to the left. Looking at the books and other items that lied in a organized manner in his trunk. Debating whether to start reading some of the books he was required to buy now. Being slightly on more even ground with all the other children that knew this world from birth. Closing his trunk with a soft thud a click following shortly after as he clasped it shut. Reading could wait for now, first he needed to change into his robes. Not wanting to deal with the hassle of changing last minute.

The youngest Tucker looked around the compartment once more, for something he had missed at during his brief inspection. Finally he spotted the small compartment above the seats on the left side. Throwing his trunk atop it unceremoniously with a puff of effort. Readjusting his glasses he looked it once over, it was in line of sight for it to be easily found, yet not at first glance. Slightly lowering the chances of it being stolen.

'It's not like anyones going to steal my stuff anyway.' He thought with a shrug. Collecting his robes and leaving the compartment to change into them.

Peggy Paisley did not let go of her mother's hand for a long time, did not let go of her father's arms for a long time, but nevertheless, finally, she grabbed her suitcase and climbed into the train car at the last moment. The Hogwarts Express pulled away and Peggy ran down the corridor, waving to her parents at the windows. When the train picked up speed, she had to stop. She watched as mom and dad, who were still standing on the platform, were gradually moving away. A tear ran down the girl's cheek, but she quickly wiped it away and returned to her suitcase, abandoned somewhere at the beginning, because it turned out to be too heavy to run with it.

Peggy couldn't believe her luck. And she didn't believe it. All the time it seemed to her that she was about to wake up. The girl wanted to be happy, but for some reason a small gloomy animal seemed to settle in her chest.

Paisley wandered along the occupied compartments. Noisy companies of teenagers of different ages now seemed to her not at all attractive. In one of the closed compartments, something boomed and smoke poured out. In the end, she came to the very compartment that Philip Tucker had left a minute ago. Empty and calm.

The girl was sitting alone on one of the seats and scratching with her fingers a metal brooch in the shape of the sun. The same sun shone in the late afternoon sky. But there was not a hint of sunshine in the soul of little Paisley. Mom carefully pinned this brooch to her daughter's jumper during the farewell at the station. The girl was combed and dressed in a brand new uniform in advance, back in London. But she already had a set of school uniforms ready for the Muggle comprehensive school... but the plans quickly changed. She adjusted the hem of her skirt on her knees and her gaze fell on the upper luggage rack.

Obviously, someone has already been here and is going to return.

As Phil began his trek back to the compartment he had chosen, two children maybe a bit older waved to him. Meekly he waved back about to start his journey when he could hear one of them call out to him. They wanted him to join them, quickly shaking his head he pointed behind him with his thumb.

"Sorry I already have a seat back there, thanks for the offer though." He said its a slight nod to his head. Turning on his heel walking off before they could ask for his name or introduce themselves. Phil had time to make friends later, right now he needed lower the disadvantage he was already at. And to do that he needed to start reading some of the books he kept in his trunk. The ones he found the most interesting like, a book of spells and a history of magic. Coming to a stopping front of the compartment he had chosen, he saw a girl sitting down through the window in the slider door.

Thankfully she was alone, so there wouldn't be too many people to distract him from his early or last minute studies. In any case if she wanted to converse he could handle multitasking one conversation and reading. After all, he's done it plenty of times before, what would be different now.

'She's magic, and so are you thats whats different. What if she was born into this world? Would she think lowly of him?'

His hand hovered in front of the door as the boy came to a standstill. His ears picking up on the sound of the trains wheels against the tracks and conversations coming from the compartment around him. No he wasn't going to do tis now. He wasn't going to spiral into overthinking anything on his first day. He should enjoy his first day, not spend it overthinking every little thing.

'Its fine, even so how would she know if I don't tell her.' He reassured himself with a shaky breath. Sliding the door open to make room for himself, poking his head inside the compartment quickly followed by the rest of his body coming into view.

"Hi there." With a short wave he slid the door shut. Taking his trunk from the luggage rack and sitting on the other side of the compartment. Unclasping it and pulling out 'A book of Spells'. Closing the lid to his trunk but not securing it shut he opened up to the first page and began to read. "Oh by the way i'm Phillip, who are you?" Flipping past the table of contents he began to read the first chapter. Completely skipping the prologue in favor of just getting to the point.

When Philip Tucker's head appeared in the doorway, she looked up at him with an anxious look, but for the time being remained silent. The wheels of the train rattled on the rails, dust occasionally flickered in the air, and the landscape of the suburbs was already flying past the window.

"Hi," Peggy replied grimly. From the long silence, her voice became low and hoarse. She involuntarily lowered her head and watched, looking out from under her unevenly trimmed bangs. He was acting confident–that's all Peggy could see. She pulled her legs up to her on the seat and leaned back.

"Peggy," she replied shortly to Philip's question. She paused for a moment before continuing. "I'm sorry. I hope you don't mind. I just thought it was free here." After that, she fell silent, staring out the window. Although, if Philip is attentive enough, he may well notice how she stealthily peeks into the textbook that he is leafing through. The girl also flipped through all her textbooks before leaving. Not out of love for studying, by no means, but only out of pure curiosity. She had never done this with ordinary school textbooks. After all, who undertakes to read educational literature before studying? 'Unless it's someone who wants to reduce the fear of the unknown.' She thought about it, looked at the face of the boy opposite and made certain conclusions.

So, the magic train was rushing forward to meet the new life of young wizards. Everything seemed to be falling into place right now. There was something to think about. But in short, this was Peggy's first solo trip anywhere, and she hoped everything would go smoothly. That the train will reach where it is necessary, and she herself will not wake up on the night of the first of September as an ordinary girl as before. So far, she has not looked further into the future, so what has already been described above is all that occupied her thoughts.

Peeking over his book as she introduced herself he watched as her eyes examined the passing scenery through the window. Quickly looking back at his own book when he noticed she seemed to glance his way. After hearing her finish he looked up from his book and to her. His eyebrows furrowed together slightly as his hands paused mid-way through turning a page. Why did she seem so concerned that she sat here and may have made him upset?

"I don't own the compartment y'know." He said, directing his eyes back onto his own book. His hands flipping the page fully as he scanned its contents. "I don't mind." He added on shortly after. His voice came off more rude than the playfully joking he had wanted. Of course he remained unaware of this simple fact and continued to read his book. Trying to get some last minute understanding of what he was getting into. Silently cursing himself under his breath for not studying before. Too busy thinking of the what-ifs to actually read the given material that may have answers to those what if and how's.

Giving in to his own curiosity he directed his eyes to the girl. Seeing her own being directed towards the book he was currently reading. Snapping his eyes back to his book he sat there looking at the pages. The words were too much of a jumbled mess for him to even read as his mind questioned the girl. He sat there in awkward silence, only being able to hear the chug of the train. No longer accompanied by the sound of pages turning. He desperately tried to resume his reading, eventually giving up and closing his book, turning to face Peggy head on.

“Have you not read the books you had to get yet?” “Even so I don’t have any room to be talking when I'm just starting to read them now.” he chuckled shyly, rubbing the back of his neck. Trying to think of something to get a conversation started with his ability to read being robbed from him.

“Are you new to magic and stuff?” He blurted out almost instantly regretting it. That was such a poor conversation starter, there were so many things that could go wrong with those simple words. In all honesty if someone came up to him and asked him that question he would automatically lie and feel very uncomfortable. With a berguding sigh he realized it was best to elaborate on that so Peggy didn’t take it the wrong way. Hoping that if she did know about all of this she wouldn't make fun of the boy.

“I am at the very least.” He paused before the corners of his lips twitched up in a slight smile. “But even though I am, I want to learn everything I can. There's so many things to be discovered and I want to understand it all. Not to mention as a boy I've always wanted magic to be real.” His smile only grew as he drawled on.

“It's a bit corny and average, I know. But knowing that it is real now? It's like a door to my life I've always known was there, opened for me to explore. One I never bothered paying attention to before.” The boy paused as he tried to find the right wording to describe his one feelings. Only being left with the bare minimum.

“I'm filled with wonder and eagerness. I have that same child-like curiosity I had when I was five but renewed.” His eyes softened before he cleared his throat into his fist.

“Sorry i'm rambling, but it's nice to meet you Peggy.”

“Are you new to magic and stuff?”

The question snapped Peggy out of her thoughts too abruptly. Although she wasn't worried about anything particularly important, and in general, she was already tired of replaying the same thoughts in her head anyway, for some reason such a direct question for her at the moment became equivalent to shaking a sleepwalker by the shoulders while walking in a dream. She took her hand away from her cheek and frowned at the boy. The face took on a complex expression, such an expression is characteristic of those who have been lifted out of bed, but have not yet been woken up.

"One might think that you are not," she snapped unexpectedly, even to herself. It was like pointing a finger at the sky, but this time she guessed right. This is not at all what she would like to start a new acquaintance in a new world with. Ouch. There was a shadow of surprise and regret in her gaze. With the hand that she used to lean on the armrest and rest her head, she covered the lower part of her face. This is just a small reflex, from the outside looking as unobtrusive as possible. It is not known whether she was trying to hide her confusion by her act in this way, or to pacify her own mouth, but it was in this position that she continued to listen to Philip.

His monologue seemed very familiar to the girl. Very close. There was something about him. Hadn't she spent the last week with the same thoughts? So it wasn't close to her alone, and that was comforting. Her hand slid to her chin, revealing a warm smile. She no longer looked Philip in the eye, there was no need, everything was clear from his words. From intonation in his voice. She nodded several times.

"Nice to meet you Philip." The girl looked up at him and smiled wider than she wanted to. She moistened her dry lips before answering. "It was much easier when we were five, wasn't it? Simply… Well, at least we didn't have to leave anywhere. Mom and dad… They could tell if something had happened. Something bad. They could say that nothing really happened and then it really became unimportant." The words seemed to come to her with difficulty. It wasn't panic, but Peggy gave herself up to the novice test, the one that all applicants or trainees have to go through. "More. When we were little, we could assume that what we imagined or we invented ourselves was happening for real, but now everything is really happening for real." Peggy fingered the hem of her skirt. The next moment, she leaned forward to the interlocutor: "Aren't you afraid of how MUCH you have to discover and understand?"
