A little disappointed, she’d return to the center to fight for the Quaffle again, and be left watching Phyllis make some spectacular blocks, though the other team would make their first goal of the game.

There was a reason Everett was in the house of that valued the mind. Truthfully, his mom thought he was crazy for joining Quidditch, she tried to push him towards duelling but his friend's were on the team and he thought he could do the school well. Until... he saved his seeker from approximately 0 people and had his backbeat tossed right back at him. Hitting him square and sending him flying back a bit before recovering. Quidditch hurt but so did duelling. So, all's well that ends well. Especially since they were still in the lead.Action: As Strategized

The game was starting to get intense and Miles wanted to do what was best for his school, best for his team, and to show Olive he could actually do something to contribute to this! He was a beater, so it was time to focus and do what he could do with his bat and the bludgers and maybe take out some of the other team.

MAHOUTOKORO-BEAUXBATONS vs. ILVERMORNY-CASTELOBRUXOPART THREETHE STORYReducioPlott returned from the concessions stand with a strawberry fizz in one hand and a chili cheesedog in the other. Snarfing bites in between announcements, the Ilvermorny headmaster tried not to make too much of a mess while he was on stage. However, the choice of a fully loaded chili cheesedog was probably a bad tactical decision.
"…….And I am back, we are back. All ready? Set…. Here. We. Go!!!” Plott as he gestured to his assistant to release the quaffle and bludgers once more.
Right off the bat, a change of strategy became blaringly obvious.
"What’s this? A seeker, Jamie Ziegler, is after the quaffle! Look at Red go!” stammered Plott between gurgles of his fizzy drink. On the first round, however, the stormy winds were not at Jamie’s back… nor would they be for rounds two or three, either, as André took the quaffle for all of them. André had studied quidditch well enough to know how to set up for the Finbourgh Flick-- Ayako waited for the boy’s quaffle pass as she waited near the enemy hoops, poised to follow through with the end of her broomstick. Again and again André passed the quaffle, uncontested to her, yet, Phylicia also had put enough hours into quidditch to smite down the quaffle in each of Mahoubaton’s attempts.
"Phylicia blocks! No score is made!” repeated Plott each time, failing to keep chili out of his mustache, and having to be reminded by his assistant time and again to adjust his appearance.
On the fourth round, however, the snazzy flashback of a seeker, Jamie, finally got his hands on the quaffle and zoomed in towards Mahoubaton’s hoops. With a jog to the left and another to the right, Jamie set up the play well enough to secure unpredictability. Shooting the quaffle past Viola’s right knee, Jamie’s throw flew true. Plott raised his concession items up in both hands as he squeezed his fizz cup with excitement.
"10 points for Ilvermorny and friends! Castelobruxo, yes, yes! That’s the way!”
The fifth round, however, returned to the same pattern as the first three, as André took the quaffle, passed to Ayako, and Phylicia completely shut down Mahoubaton’s attempts.
"Mffmghphmh,” scarfed Plott on the tail end of his chili dog. "And here we see Ilvermorny’s true prowess, folks! Rarely can anything get past Phylicia the Wall!!”
As the quaffle game rolled on, there was no shortage of aggression going around. Lucietta moved in to blatch Tone and Chikao, who were sharing a broom after Tone rescued his frightful team mate in Round 2. With a mighty thump, the Ilvermorny girl crashed like a wave and brought down the pair. Although Kit swept in on her spacious bluebottle broom with the intent of catching both of them, a terrible gust of wind blew her off course.
"Oh no! The Calico Beater and his fearsome compatriot seem to-- oh… Oh, that had to hurt."
While Kit reeled, pulling hard to steer her broom back on course, she knew that her job was not done so long as Florian was on the line. After all, at any moment petit garçon LeRoy could catch the snitch and end the game-- so long as a nasty bludger didn’t end him without any recourse.
Just then, Theodore swept in to do just that. Without a defender, Florian was at a double disadvantage-- unguarded and focused hard on spiralling in an intense dive at the snitch, the seeker had no leeway to watch his own backside. Theodore’s bat cracked hard against a bludger that struck Florian clean in the back, knocking him clean off his broom in a forward roll. Yet, the moment had been prepared for, and Kit swept in to finally make good on her saving duties, catching Florian behind her. Together, they continued on in an eyewateringly fast descent towards the snitch.
Meanwhile, Everett came at Milo with a backbeat while Milo was backbeating at Phylicia. Hunting a hunter distracted in pursuit of prey was not a bad idea. Yet, the swirling of Milo’s attack made his movements hard to lock onto, and Everett’s blow missed. For his part, Milo did not let the attack on him shake his focus, and he successfully followed through on his blow against Phylicia. The boy’s strong blow knocked the already bloody Phylicia clear off her broom, only for her to be saved by Louca.
"Hey, everyone, LOOK! The Frenchies-- Florian and Katherine-- they are locked into a nose-bleed-worthy dive-- will they do it? Can Florian catch the snitch despite not having the advantage of using his own, familiar broom?!" Shoving his now-spent strawberry fizz glass at his assistant, Plott leaned in to squint at the scene unfolding before him. Florian’s face, locked onto the snitch with intense focus, made for dazzling big-screen action as his arm stretched out, fingers extending, until with a clean flick of his wrist, he snatched the flittering snitch right out of the sky [Nat 20].
The roar of the crowd shook the stadium as Lazarus Plott put his hands on his hips. He had to admit, the kid had style. Yet, he didn’t have to admit it out loud.
"WELL! It seems that Florian LeRoy has caught the snitch! With one quaffle score for Ilvermorny this round, the totals are now 160 for Mahoutokoro-Beauxbatons and 40 for Ilvermorny-Castelobruxo. This concludes the game-- congratulations Mahoutokoro-Beauxbatons on your victory!”
Plott clapped his hands in polite applause and nodded. His favorite team had put up a valiant fight, and when they were back home he would not fail to let them know how proud they had made him despite not coming out on top this time.REGARDING THE QUAFFLE…ReducioQuaffle GrabRound 1:

ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | Things were becoming chaotic. There was so much going on and it was hard to keep track of everything as things became a blur all over. Tone was able to keep his composure though, as he was currently carrying Chikao on his broom too. He couldn't let Chikao fall off if he could help it. But at the same time, they did make a very juicy target for their opponents. Tone had to admit that he wouldn't be surprised if they were targeted by at least one person. One thing was for certain though, Phylicia was definitely someone he respected by now. She was doing an extremely good job at blocking goals. Even if she was on the enemy team, Tone had to give her credit for her skills. But Mahoutokoro would win. When Lucietta came over to attack them, Tone wasn't surprised, he'd expected it to happen. Although, he hadn't known it would be Lucietta. Despite his flying skill, he wasn't able to dodge Lucietta with Chikao on the broom too. And the two of them were knocked off, Nim going out of range of his fingers. Since the two of them were falling, Tone didn't have time to watch what was going on with Florian and the others. He was too focused on finding a way to hit the ground with the least impact, so the injuries incurred wouldn't be too bad afterward. That was his priority. He successfully managed to achieve this. Adjusting himself as he fell, due to his extreme agility from years of practicing, Tone was able to land well. The boy hit the ground with his knees bent and tumbled forward into a roll. He'd learned from experience that you always wanted to land on your feet but that the impact would wreck you. So the best way to absorb this was to land with your knees bent and then go into a forward roll. And that was exactly what he did this time. It was still a rather jarring impact, one that made a jolt of pain go up his legs, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been if he'd landed on other parts of his body. Tone glanced around for Nim and spotted it a short distance away from his current location. He heard cheers and looked up to see that Florian had caught the snitch! They had won! Hiro grinned, happy that their first summer match had ended with victory for them. That would show their opposing team they were not to be messed with! Tone waved to all the fans who had come to see them and slowly made his way over to Nim, grabbing it with one hand as he made his way towards the rest of the team to celebrate their win. Where had Chikao fallen? Was he alright, or had he been taken away on a stretcher? Running off adrenaline, Tone wasn't tired at all because of this! ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────

Playing for Mahoutokoro, second string keeper?
Best seat in the house, Mathias was standing on the well-warmed bench and he started to clap his hands vigorously as Florian went in for that spiral dive. Both teams had found the snitch and this was perhaps their final chance to take away the win, if anything happened to Florian those Americans would ruin this victory for them. Ilvermorny had already solidified their legacy as gloryhounds and asshats, and while he has not yet had the displeasure of getting to know Castelobruxo, they would be billed for years of therapy.
This was one of them do or die moments and while Florian almost did die as Theodore bludgered the ambitious Seeker. His heart dopped and he forgot to take a breath as time slowed and he watched their first string start to plummet. Kit came in just in the nick of time for the save. At breakneck speeds the two of them turned around in mid flight and back into a wicked nosedive. the two of them spun like a damned top, corkscrewing their way to the snitch.
They were there, so close... Florian went in for the grab and Pride was standing at the very edge of the bench. Florian reached out and his hands snatched something... THEY SNATCHED THE SNITCH!
Mathias screamed, his hands cupped around his mouth and he gives out unintelligible accolades. Florian caught the snitch and ended the game. They were the winners. He was on a team that had actually won. This was definitely the happiest day of his life, certainly ahead of his future wedding to Winnie and the birth of his first child.
Action: Freak out and leave with the team.

This was it. The snitch circled below him now after Florian's missed Alley Oop, and he knew what he would have to do now. He would leave himself completely open in the hopes of catching the snitch just that much faster. He couldn't be totally sure that the opposing seeker had spotted the snitch, but regardless, that keeper was making things difficult, and he didn't want to catch the snitch and then loose based on points. At least their chasers had been keeping the ball away from their opponents, even if they weren't managing to score.
Turning his attention back to the match, he would brace himself for what was next. Gripping his broom tightly, Florian began his spiral dive. He knew he was being targeted, but he couldn't let that stop him. He had to keep his eyes on the snitch. In doing so, one bludger made contact with him, sending him flying off his broom to be caught by a fellow Beauxbaton, Kit. He would try to massage his back as he reoriented himself on her broom, as the pain from the bludger hit was intense. He had to admit that that boy had quite an arm.
"Thank you, Katherine." He paused for a quick breath, his eyes refocusing on the snitch that was still below them. "Now... that way!" he pointed in the direction of the snitch and the two continued his previous dive together. Florian reached out... one grasp... not quite. The ball would slip right through his fingertips as Kit pulled slightly away. A second grasp... and... caught! A smile would form across the young French boy's face, knowing that this was is. He had won it all. Florian held the glinting gold little ball in his hands, and he began to raise it high above his head, showing it off.
The two would fly back down to the ground to reunite with the two who had fallen. Thank goodness Florian had managed to catch the snitch, or who knows how the next plays would turn out. For now, those thoughts wouldn't cross the boy's mind at all, as he was swimming in his own glory. First the Broom Race last summer, and now his first Quidditch match. What couldn't Florian do?
