Truth or Dare — Group THREE
Interacting With: @Esmeray Rosslyn, @Reena Delgado, & @Serena Bowen | Mentioning: @Henry Knight | Dialogue Hex: #143314There were many types of people clinging like unwilling plastic stickers to the exasperating blue-and-green-and-white-with-aerosols-that-would-do-good-to-drown-Leonard-right-now globule the aforementioned people called Earth, and even when some people were gifted with such wonderful presents including but not limited to the ability to control, the ability to form deep connections with one another through communication in various ways, and the ability to twiddle their thumbs like Saturday morning cartoon villains, all of them seemed to serve a singular purpose with their miserable, pathetic, and worst of all, truly boring existences: annoying Leonard to the point where, indeed, one of the cumulus clouds dropping down and suffocating him into heaven and hell sounded better than going on with the long, long game before him. Sentences like these popped out of pessimism’s womb with little to no (mostly no, but Leonard believed there was a reason for everything, except when it came to why he was so often subjected to ‘learning experiences’ that only made him learn about how horrible humanity was, because then he was conveniently unenlightened to his extensive track record of unpromptly torturing literal children and being so self-absorbed that microscopes could conclude that his bodily fibres were constantly turning in on themselves. Ooh, look, another sentence lengthy enough to very nearly wrap around his hair-gelled balloon of a head) prompting, bringing his brain’s birth rate and binky stock prices to unprecedented highs. He had tried to convince himself that the mental sophisticated society of pretentious, precocious, philosophical pursuits and meandering Marshals that came and went to cause him perpetual crises about his crushes on girls or lack thereof was merely undergoing routine Armageddon, a little spice in his pasty English porridge to humble himself so he could go on with life, but he was now faced with the very simple fact that Truth or Dare would be a complete apocalypse. Toddling along were armadas of hopelessly sobbing, totally incomplete clauses, while the actual armadas of he’d trained specifically to drag him out of his stupid negativity hole whistled away the crumbling world around them. He knew that he wasn’t going to enjoy Truth or Dare the way he would’ve enjoyed a solidly silent afternoon of teaching circus tricks to his lizard or editing the word choice of his will, but he also knew that he wasn’t going to enjoy being teased about leaving the game two rounds in.
What he also knew to be a very simple fact was that, among the many types of people and the many methods through which they made him want to jump overboard and never return from the deep depths of the great brine, none of them had the courtesy to be a type of person he knew. He could’ve sworn he’d seen Ivy Bellamy board the ship during the initial, but he figured it wouldn’t be against her entire eclectic brand of black coffee and reminding him of a particular debut pop album with ten songs and thirty-four minutes and forty-one seconds of runtime. He’d been patiently waiting for Rosslyn’s response to his question, racking his mind for any speck of memory about the girl and coming to the easy conclusion that he’d leave her reply to the back burner, when another brunette entered his personal soap opera scene. Shorter hair, shorter in general, and as unfamiliar as Esmeray.
“It’s Leonard,” he quickly corrected the girl. He’d been in denial about being named Leonard for a while, so he could understand the misnomer. “And I very much do exist, though the jury’s still out on whether or not I’m secretly the ghost of.”
He would, in equal quickness, come to copiously regret wasting such a humorous line on the least humorous entity on the boat. In less than two breaths, she’d managed to insult his existence, insult his very sensible decision between Truth and Dare, and insult her own miniature mote of intelligence. He didn’t consider himself popular in any sense of the word, but he did consider himself to be an upperclassman worthy of the baseline level of respect from someone who apparently hadn’t even prepared a proper truth for him.
“Wow. Riveting,” he said with a tone dryer than the girl’s choice in query. All the options she had, and it was one he barely even had a reply for. “By far the most exhilarating truth in the seven seas. Very exciting.”
“I hate nobody,” he answered at last. It would not be his final answer, seeing as it would’ve been a lie. He wrote literal hate poetry for shoelaces that had crossed his path once when he was six years old, he wasn’t going to switch his trademark around like that. “Hating is a waste of time when you could be studying.”
“But there is this boy in my year, in my house, in my dormitory, and his name is Henry Knight.” He began, intending the monologue’s end to come when Snowdon was made of cheese. If she was going to approach him in such unsporting manner, he was going to make her regret it, and whether regret would come from being bored to death or being so into his story that she wanted more was up to her interpretation of his soliloquy. “During our first meeting, he was insensitive, ignorant towards the manners in which the muggle and magical world collided. If people’s minds could be open in the slightest, his was locked behind a shrinking Wonderland-esque door, propping himself up on a background privileged enough to have while he himself stuttered and shook as though his extensive wizarding education never taught him how to grow a spine. Since then, our paths have made their inevitable crossing with bitterness marking each meeting to some extent. In more recent times, however, I have come to learn that our experiences have shaped us to become more mature young men, our relationship settling into a ceasefire of banter and competitiveness. We are not friends, but I believe that we do not, and I suppose that’s enough for an environment wherein there are greater threats looming on the horizon, salting our scars every moment of every day until they reopen. One day, black blood may spill into our safe haven once more, and anyone who wields not the blade but the shield will earn a fleeting instance of trust, as I so suspect our school will never be able to.”
And then she nodded. She nodded. They were strangers, sure, but was there not a better reaction for her to pull out of her insolent underside? This was why he stuck to books, dragons, and golden retrievers. He decided that he was going to be celibate forever. He then decided that Marshal would not accept that and decided against his initial decision. He then decided that maybe he could be celibate forever and pass it off as a normal part of being himself. He then decided that he would be very happy to be left alone in a brick flat in Brighton to live with a million lizards and not have any sort of spouse or children to worry about. Fate then decided to disfigure his plans in the most ridiculous way possible.
Another stranger, fair-haired and potentially a half-giant, approached Leonard, now declaring him to be someone he was into in a way that became very clear as he talked about ‘that one tent’ and not being late for their definitely unplanned meeting. If Leonard had previously appeared to be a sourpuss in constant pain, the contact between some grandpa’s lips and his hand as well as the words flying out of the terrifyingly tall senior citizen’s mouth made him look like a thousand black cats just scratched his body down to his barest bones. He thought exclusively in question marks, exclamation points, and a good dose of asterisks. Who in the world was this man? Why in the world was he saying that he was into Leonard? Was he proposing? At this time and place within the entire world?
Further inspection would reveal that the man was not a man, but instead one of the increasingly common cases wherein the deity of height’s blessings evidently went to Scandinavia’s inhabitants and nobody else. He was objectively handsome, yes. He was very confusing and genuinely concerning and seemed to be in the middle of a psychotic break, also yes. Leonard should’ve been honoured, really, to come across the regular wizard’s dream boy.
“Thank you?” He stammered as he searched for something to salvage the situation with, but his treasure hunt would end in an ‘x’ marking his skull. One second he was a normal, productive member of Hogwarts society and the next he was being assaulted by a pirate coat and the overt smell of teenager. Pirate teenager. He would be getting scurvy either way.
“Was that a kidnapping attempt?” Bewildered, he spun around in a flailing attempt to find off-brand Jack Frost, and despite the way their singular interaction had managed to burn itself into the very fibre of his brain, the European Stay Puft Marshmallow Man had gone back to fulfil the requirements of his gym membership and leave Leonard alone. Upon receiving no further explanation other than the general chaos of continuing festivities, he waved farewell to Esmeray and went off to find the cannon. It was a flimsy excuse, but he truly had no desire to stay in the same place and get another coat flung on his face. It seemed he still had. In unrelated news, he found a sudden pang of self-loathing course through his body.
The cannon made no effort to be considerate of his angsty condition, as did the horrible, terrible world. With yet another bang, he received yet another name he couldn’t say was anywhere within his farthing of a social circle. He dug up a vague acquaintanceship with the syllables being shouted on Quidditch stands, matches against Hufflepuff he’d only paid attention to for the acquaintanceships he had with numerous Quidditch players. Matches that Hufflepuff lost, he also remembered, and he didn’t want to bring that up and ruin whatever maniacal mood everyone seemed to be in. The questions continued, though, as he had to ask around a bit to figure out who Serena Bowen was, as there seemed to be another Serena on board.
“Serena Bowen? Great to meet you, I’m Leonard Oaksworth,” he waved at the blonde girl, only slightly winded from his journey across their rather small playing field. Look, Dad, he was finally exercising! “Now, you’ve gone for a truth and a dare? Truthfully daring indeed.”
His smile at his truthfully, daringly, absurdly bad pun lasted for a second before disappearing. He thought for a good while about what to say next, how to do better than the girl who’d thought he didn’t exist. It was not a hard competition in his opinion, but Serena’s could be different. Very different. “For your truth, what’s the thing you dislike most about yourself and why? For your dare, I’d like you to rip up one of the stuffed parrots from the chests and throw its remains at someone as hard as you can. It could be a stress reliever of sorts, yes? You can switch the orders of those two things around however you like, as long as you carry them out. Or don’t. Whatever’s best for you.”

Truth or Dare — Group THREE

As soon as Stephen had given Kim his dare, he walked over to the refreshments and got a drink of water. Talking in a gravelly, rum-husked pirate's voice was a kick, but it was beginning to hurt. Plus, no one, not even Bubba, it would seem, was joining in on the pirate play. Stephen decided to put ol' Rattlebones to rest for the time being, though he was definitely staying in costume!
As he was beginning to down his second glass of water, a girl approached him with both a Truth and a Dare. Hey! Wait a minute. What black magic was this? What happened to the or? Gaaaahhh.
Fickle, freaking cannon.
"Fine. Fine. I will answer, but may I at least learn your name since you know mine?" and he smiled at her in a friendly manner. Her question was not actually terrible. It made him think a little while before he arrived at a truthful answer, though it would likely be one she would find most unsatisfying.
He repeated the question back while thinking. "What is the worst thing I would do for 1,000 galleons? Ahhh, yes. Well. It must be somewhat torturous I would suspect to make it worthwhile. Hmmmmm.". He started rubbing his chin with the finger next to his index finger on his left hand. This is what he often did when thinking. Finally he formulated his answer.
"It would never be like me to accept payment for hurting another person or a creature, even if the hurting amounted to little more than emotional harm, such as embarrassment, so that just leaves me as a subject. What would I do or expose myself to for 1,000 galleons? My rock bottom price for anything that involves maiming or scarring, either physically or emotionally, would be 1,001 galleons, so you undercut yourself on the really juicy stories by a frog's hair, I'm afraid. Sorry about that. But for the tidy sum being hypothetically offered for the purpose of learning nonsense about me, I would have to say I would eat liver."
He looked at her and simply blinked. Yep. As suspected, she looked completely underwhelmed at his answer, but if she had known it had been served to him as a small child and the smell and taste of it revolted him so much that he spewed a lava flow of the stuff back up and onto his plate AND was then forced to eat that, she might see how this was a bigger deal than it sounded. But he just had to answer; not justify, right?
Then she moved onto the fun portion of their interaction... the Dare. He laughed when he heard he was to walk like a model for the rest of the round. "Great minds of a feather dare to be just another in the crowd, eh?" His eyes scanned the deck, looking for the boy named Kim. He nodded towards him. "See him. I just dared him to model 3 outfits and use the gang plank as his runway, while narrating his ensembles. Walking like a model will be a nice bookend to his dare, I think," and Stephen smiled briefly at the girl before channeling his inner model. He decided on cheesecake model and not on beefcake. She had not specified which type, but he suspected cheesecake was what she had had in mind, so he went with it figuring he had already disappointed her with the liver answer.
He transformed himself standing before her. He sucked in his cheeks to an alarming degree and adopted the somewhat dispassionate, glazed, vacuous looks that starving runway models have frozen on their faces as they sashay about, thinking of nothing but the hamburgers and pizza they will gorge themselves on and chuck up later. Hmmmmm. There seemed to be an undercurrent of a theme here.
Continuing the transformation, he swept his longcoat flamboyantly behind him as he rested one hand jauntily on the hip he had simultaneously jutted out. He positioned the opposite leg a little in front of, but further to the other side of, the weight bearing leg beneath the jutted hip. When he started to move, it was with a deliberate, erect, confident bearing.
There was a definite swing to his hips, but not cartoonishly so. It happened somewhat naturally as he would let one foot land and then swivel his hips to make the other foot land directly in front of the former, but not so close as to touch heel to toe. He started out a bit rough, but he soon got into a nice rhythm.
As he walked anywhere, he would stop every 40'-50' and assume the jutted hip pose, switching out sides to jut out for the sake of added interest. Sometimes he would rest his hand on his hip, and other times he would lift a hand to the brim of his captain's hat while rakishly running it across the bottom, gazing upon his fellow shipmates as if he were not caring of their existence or not. He would continue the rhythmic walking that would eventually become to look like smooth glide. The stopping... the turning.... the chest-to-thigh sweeps of the hand meant to draw attention to his clothing before an uncaring audience, were all part of his model walk.
If he came to stairs, he would approach and reach out for the railing, stopping to look over his shoulder for the added drama of the moment. He would then proceed to navigate the steps in a diagonal fashion, stopping halfway up (or down) turning his head to the side and looking up in profile while spreading one arm up and out the other down and out, creating a nice, dramatic line.
This went on the rest of the round. At one point, he even struck the famous Madonna vogue pose , but every step and every move he made was as deliberately modelesque as a 12 year old boy in a pirate costume could muster.

Being wet did not put Kamila in a good mood. Kamila glared at the person who had given her the plank dare. Not making a snarky comment despite how much she wanted to.
While Kamila had been in the water someone had given her, her next dare, which was to close one of her eyes through her next dare. This was totally reasonable, hopefully no one took advantage of her lack of vision. Kamila closed her left eye. "I closed my eye; anything else?" Kamila asked.
Kamila opened up the paper she had been assigned. Who was going to ride a shark? Not this person. Another truth! The canon clearly hated her, because she did not have any truth questions prepared. Alright, she thought. I can find something. She was just going to have to save her best for last.
"Okay Bubba your truth is," Kamila paused for a moment to create suspense and also because she had no idea what to ask him. "What was the most terrible moment in your life." Kamila asked (eye still closed).
She was so excited to receive her next dare. Truth or dare was even better than she had thought it would be when she signed up.

It seemed her embarrassing admission about having no friends went unnoticed amidst the chaos of the ship, with everyone completing their dares and yelling their truths. Della supposed her story wasn't the strangest one ever told at a magical school to begin with.
She heard her name being called. A girl she barely recognized, a Ravenclaw she had seen around the castle, told her to talk like a pirate for the rest of the round. Della never thought of herself as a performer, but given that she had no spotlight and the setting offered much inspiration, she threw herself into her new role. "Aye, aye, there, lass! I'll be followin' them orders across all the seven seas!"
The cannon gave her another target. Leonard Oaksworth: Dare. Della hadn't met Leonard before, but she guessed he was a fellow Hogwarts student from his name. She approached an older boy she had heard someone call Leonard, and kept up her character as she gave him his dare.
"Avast there, matey! Do you be the one they call Leonard? If so, I have a dare for you, you scallywag! I want to see the best ballet dance ye can offer, make it the best that this poor vessel has ever seen."
Wow, it took a lot of energy to be so outgoing and boisterous. Della didn't know how other people did it all the time.

Outfit: x She laughed as Della completed her dare, "Perfect!" The brunette gave her a thumbs up, showing her that she approved of her pirate accent a lot. "That is definitely spot on, if I were to be the judge of it, and I think I can be the judge of it since I gave you the dare. Anyway, yes, I definitely approve of your accent. Well done," she gave Della one last thumbs up.
'Girl with the brown hair and the coral colored tank top'. That suited Vivienne's description quite well so she turned around to see who had yelled at her. A girl with brown curly hair was standing on top of a trunk, apparently professing her undying love for Vivienne. The French girl couldn't help but blush. I mean, who wouldn't when they were being bombarded by compliments? "Thank you!" Vivienne yelled over to the girl, "You're very pretty too! I like your hair!" A short burst of laughter left her as the girl did a 'call me' symbol. She was aware that it was definitely a dare the girl had been given, but it was funny nonetheless.
Even though she had already given someone a dare and had been on the receiving end of someone else's dare, it seemed whoever was meant to give her a dare didn't feel up to it, leaving Vivienne to wait until the next round so she could get a new target.
When the next round came, her new target was Reena Delgado, who had chosen dare. "Reena Delgado?" Vivienne called out, completely unaware that Reena was actually the girl who had basically confessed to her minutes prior, "Okay, for a dare..." she trailed off as she attempted to think of another dare, it proving to be slightly challenging since she had to give so many dares out and she was nearly running out.
Wait.
Vivienne couldn't help but gasp as she came up with probably the most creative dare ever. "Have you watched Avengers: Endgame?" She queried, "Okay, if you have or haven't it doesn't matter I can explain. Your dare is to recreate Natasha Romanoff's death, the Vormir scene, except you'll be hanging off the plank and you'll fall into the water. I can be your Clint and hold you up and then you'll fall if you want me to. We'll say the lines and all. If you haven't watched Endgame here's the lines: you, Natasha say, 'Let me go' and I, Clint, go 'No', and then you go, 'It's okay', and I start begging and being really sad and go, 'No please no' and then you fall. Got it?"
Was it a complicated dare? Kind of, but Vivienne recently rewatched Endgame with her brother during July and she wanted the dare to be as creative as possible. If Reena hasn't watched Endgame, hopefully she'd understand Vivienne's explanation. It wasn't rocket science or anything. Hang off the plank, say some lines, be dramatic, fall to your death and go splat. Simple.Vivienne is choosing DARE for the next round.

ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | The game was slowly losing members. But that was to be expected as the game couldn't go on forever. It was interesting to note who got eliminated first. Some couldn't or wouldn't complete the dares or truths that were given. Others simply seemed as if they couldn't figure out what to do/say and ran out of time. Kim had noticed a lot of dares over the past few rounds seemed to revolve around singing, which was rather interesting to choose. After all, singing wasn't that hard to do. So to choose it as a dare, unless someone knew someone else didn't like singing, was strange. Kim caught the piece of paper shot at him from the cannon and opened it to reveal the name. Yet another name the dark haired boy didn't recognize. Esmeray Rosslyn. He wasn't sure who that girl was, and yes he was assuming she was a girl from the name. Not sure what to do, as he didn't want to meander around to try and find her, he decided to raise his voice and call out her name. "Esmeray Rosslyn?" Kim looked around and eventually was able to spot his target, who wasn't too far away from him. Upon reaching her, he let his blue eyes flicker over the girl as he thought up a dare. "I dare you to go over and give Leonard Oaksworth and Della Barfield a kiss and then jump into the water from the gangplank." Kim said with a grin, deciding to make her do an embarrassing thing and then cool her cheeks. By jumping into the water afterward. It was around this time that he heard his own name being called, just as he'd called out for Esmeray earlier. Glancing around, Kim spotted the caller, who was still looking as if they were waiting for someone to approach them. When he came over to Stephen, the boy raised a hand into the air as a greeting, the same he'd always done for everyone. "Yo. I'm Kim." Kim told him and listened to the dare Stephen had come up with for him. Oh, that was a nice one. Maybe he'd use something similar to that later on. Although, he was kind of confused about the first one. A rum barrel? How on earth could he walk like a model with that? Kim thought for a few seconds and then a few more. Eventually, he came to a solution. Kim picked up a knife from one of the tables and looked for some of the sailcloth. He spotted some at the base of the main pole, apparently part of it had fallen from above. Perfect. Kim sliced through the material with the knife and grabbed hold of some rope too. Glancing around, he realized this was going to be harder than he'd thought when he'd heard the dare. The fact that he was banned from using anything from the prop chests was bad. There was literally nothing else he could use. That was why all the prop chests had been given. He'd already come up with a plan for the first two outfits. Ah, there it was. Kim suddenly came up with a great idea for the last outfit he needed to model for the dare. Grabbing as much of the sailcloth and ropes as he could, Kim headed over to the helm of the ship. He went down into it, as there were some rooms there had been set aside to be used as private dressing rooms. Going into one of the rooms, he set the sailcloth and ropes down and then went back up top again. He headed over to one of the rum barrels, which probably were not filled with anything and were just there as props. Or were filled with water. Upon reaching it, he took out the knife and started to hack some pieces of the barrel off. Yes, the rum barrels were empty. After getting a bunch of large pieces of barrel strips, Kim carried them down into the room and emerged to return to the table with refreshments. He gathered a lot of liquids and then returned to his room. Putting things together, Kim came out of the room dressed in a completely white, makeshift sailcloth outfit, held together with ropes. A white headband could be seen around his head, made from the sailcloth too. He went over to the gangplank and started to walk forward, not daring to look down. The reason being that he would freeze if he did and that would not be good. "The first outfit is a sailcloth one. It has a sleek style to it, almost like the Greek Gods." Kim stated as he walked forward and then backward, taking care to not go too far out onto the gangplank. That would most likely make his nerves heighten and would give him more of a chance to freak out, which is something he didn't want to have happen. Once done, Kim headed back to the room and emerged with his second outfit on. This one was the same sailcloth outfit but with some noticeable differences, there were large pieces of barrel strapped all over him. "This one I call the Barrel Outfit. It showcases rum barrels and how they can be really cool." Kim did his little runway walk on the gangplank for this outfit and then headed back to the room to finish out with the third and final one. The last one was the same sailcloth outfit again, but the outfit was now extremely colorful as Kim had poured different colored liquids onto the white sailcloth. This had effectively dyed the color of the outfit to be more of a tie-dye outfit. It actually looked really good and of course the barrel pieces were gone this time. The headband was back for this outfit but it too had been dyed different colors. Kim liked this outfit the most out of all. "This one is a very colorful outfit and I recommend this one above all the others. I call it the Colorvaria Outfit. Yes, it's paying tribute to the spell of the same name." Kim said as he modeled this outfit on the gangplank and finally went back to the room to change back into his own clothes. Somehow, despite everything that had happened so far, he'd still managed to maintain the pure white color of his outfit. It was quite an impressive feat, but the game was still ongoing. Who knew what would happen before it ended, only time would tell. ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────

Bubba visibly gulped as he heard Kamila's truth request. This is not what he had envisioned when he had signed up for the truth portion of the game. He thought it was going to be cutesy stuff, like the guinea pig story. This was a whole other kettle of fish. What did he do? Did he lie? No, the point of the game was to tell the truth, even if it was uncomfortable. Plus both his father and five different therapists said that talking about it would help. Still, was this the right setting?
Bubba decided to grit his teeth and do it. He motioned for Kamila to follow so he could tell it in private. He still didn't want the world to know. if she chose to tell other people that was her decision, but he hoped she'd have some consideration. They walked off from the crowd to a quieter corner and he steeled himself for what was to come.

"Not many people know this," he began, the color fading from his face. He had to be strong and power through, he gritted his teeth, quite literally this time. "But I have... had a sister." He screwed up his face and brave concentration, fighting through the forces trying to drag him back to the fateful day. "The most terrible moment of my life happened a few years ago... my sister was babysitting me. There was a fire. I wound up unconscious." He went even paler, but went on in spite of himself, "I was woken up by my own inability to breathe. I managed to crawl my way to the door and make it out... my sister... didn't."
It had only been a few sentences but Bubba felt like he had run a marathon. Still, he had done it. He had managed to talk about it without reliving it. It was a big step. He gave Kamila an apologetic look and then gave her a weak smile, "Bit more than you bargained for, eh?" He then turned more serious, "I'm sure it's not what you necessarily wanted to hear or expected but I didn't want to do you the discourtesy of lying."
Bubba will probably never select TRUTH again, he selects DARE for next round.

MODERATION POST—Round IVApparently Stephen Schwartz had earned himself some additions to his alter ego. Captain Rattlebones had become Airship Captain Rigel 'Rattlebones' Notleigh. At this rate, he might be rivaling Ana Beckett for longest moniker. But he seemed to be having a great time and could appreciate those who fulfilled their dares with gusto. He, himself, would concede to keep his eyes closed for the round at Serena's behest, turning his fumbling adventure into a new impromptu game of marco polo before breaking into a sea shanty. If there was one thing that could be said of this ship, it certainly did not lack for the musically inclined.
When the round finally ended, Stephen Schwartz would be given Kim Sato as a target. For them, the dare would be a creative one. Shortly, the ship would be graced by a fashion show with a rather unorthodox selection of fashion materials. Not at all put off, he actually seemed pretty quick on his feet to think of how to accomplish the tasks within the limitations. Before long, he was walking up the blank, burning it up with his confidence, and even adding something of a commentary as well. Sailcloth chic, barrel extravaganza, and hippie homage.
Felix Kolbeck snapped out of his momentary spaciness to receive some challenges from Bubba. Leave it to Felix to set his own interpretation of the task, though, entirely shunning part of it. His task was to sing "I want it that way". He'd even been provided the lyrics. But away though lyrics would go at the shred of a paper and instead the deck would be graced with an improvised rap. All things considered, it wasn't even half bad. If you could lay aside the obvious superiority complex. From there, he would be asked to point out who he liked. Which was obviously NOT ARJAN. And definitely nobody would think he was lying given the reflexive speed with which that was delivered. Something he realized as well in the moment. Clearly the only way around it was a tactical diversion! A point and declaration towards a random person would put Leonard Oaksworth under the radar. What followed was a totally believable admisison of affection and solicitation for a salacious meeting after the game was over before taking his leave from the game.
Bubba McGarry had been having a less than exciting time of it despite having gone above and beyond with all of his dares thus far. Even the ones delivered were done so with a flair to make them awesome on the receiving end. But genius wasn't always appreciated. Perhaps there were yet those who would recognize his cleverness, however. Serena Towers could be an opportunity. Eventually he would find his upperclassman and dare her to run around the deck and pretend to be an airplane. Also while explaining how they stay up. Needlessly complicated? Perhaps. Should be an interesting explanation, though.
Reena Delgado would find her next target in Stephen Schwartz, tasked to give him both a truth and a dare given that he had failed to make a choice the previous round. In a moment of honesty, he would have to answer what the worst thing he would do for 1000 galleons. And as a challenge, he would have to walk like a model for the rest of the round, something that certainly left much to interpretation. Apparently his worst would be that he would eat liver. The consumption of a perfectly reasonable—albeit not very tasty and sort of gross to think about given its bodily function of filtering—food source. Pretty boy has a lofty notion of his comfort, it seems! But boy could he walk. As though a model right off the Vogue runway, he would put on an uncanny modeling performance. Just in time to serve an example for Sato.
Leonard Oaksworth was there, wrapped so thoroughly in his own mind for the great majority of the time that his thoughts could have been one of the particularly length sentences that his author so enjoyed to employ. He would also do well to express that dry disdain about the utter lack of creativity in his shipmates, and answer entirely blandly to his own. He hated nobody. Except this one kid. Who would then earn about two pages of soliloquy. Followed by a dizzying level of indecision. And then would come the scurvy in the form of Felix who had somehow been mistaken for a senior citizen. Clearly Leonard needed to get out more and actually look at people in the flesh rather than the parchment to know what aged faces looked like.
Uncertain and baffled, he would still be standing in a dazed befuddlement when the plethora of punctuation marks finally cleared from above his head. But would he go to meet the boy at the unknown tent and perhaps be kidnapped? Who knows! Not yet, anyway. He had a mission to accomplish and Serena Bowen would be the recipient. He wanted to know what she disliked most about herself, first off. Or second. Or first. Whatever she liked. And then before or after, or perhaps even while, she would have to rip up a parrots and send its stuffing flying.
It was a good thing Kamila Yavlinsky hadn't been told to close both eyes as that would have made reading her piece of paper quite tricky. Fortunately for her, she was able to do so with ease and would trek out to find Bubba McGarry. For him, she would inquire about the most terrible moment in his life. And she would probably get quite a bit more than she was ready for. Most students at Hogwarts had some amount of trauma. Whether at the shcool or prior to, death and despair seemed to cling to the students of that school like dew to a blade of grass. Bubba was no exception, and after he had directed her away from the rest for a moment of privacy, would share about the tragedy of how he had lost his sister.
Della Barfield would make good on her previous dare and adopt the persona of a true pirate. When she had found Leonard Oaksworth, she would deliver his dare with the best of accents. That little scallywag would have to collect himself good and tight for her challenge. To dance like a ballerina would be no small feat, and he would have to do just that.
Vivienne Meaumont seemed pretty satisfied with Della's rendition of a pirate accent, going so far as to give her the thumbs up of approval. Attention would be drawn shortly to a girl atop a trunk shouting out an apparent confession of love. Despite it being likely a dare, it seemed to strike a certain cord in the French girl. A responding compliment even, as well. And coincidentally, that very girl would be the Reena Delgado that Vivienne would have to present a dare. A very unusual dare of having to recreate the scene of Natasha Romanoff's death as though anyone anywhere would ever want to have to rewatch that, especially in real time. One could only hope that the splat would be more like a splash...

Truth or Dare — Group THREE

as Airship Captain Rigel "Rattlebones" Notleigh

Stephen could feel the energy aboard the ship flagging, and if he was being honest, his interest in the game was beginning to wane at this point, too. He was not certain how much longer it was scheduled to go, but the cannon had spoken at least once more, so he felt obligated to continue on so as not to ruin anyone else's fun.
He easily caught his cannon-shot wadding and read the name of a new person. That sparked some interest as he always liked meeting new people. He was to give a Truth question to one Della Barfield. Hmmmmm. Before he sought her out, he was going to think a bit on what truth he would ask. This part of the game never interested him much when played with strangers as you could never tell, really, if you were actually getting the truth, and even if you did get the truth, what would it matter really as he was likely not going to have any kind of relationship with the person anyway. Still, one never completely knew what the future would hold, so there was that. What would be a good question was the real question though.
He guessed he might like to know three things, so as he had trifurcated Bubba's dare, he would make this the triptych of truth, but nothing of great import really hinged on how she would answer. He laughed at his own little pun as he started to search her out. Based on past interactions, his own and those memorable ones between others, he could eliminate quite a few people. He narrowed it down to an attractive girl with long, platinum blondish hair. As he approached her, he remembered hearing her doing her own pirate speak while he had been sashaying around deck, walking like a model last round. He remembered thinking she had done an excellent job, but it must not have been enjoyable if she had chosen a truth for this round. That was assuming, of course, she was the person he sought.
"Hi. I'm Stephen Schwartz. Would you by chance be Della Barfield? If you are, I have a three part Truth question for you" and he gave her a wide smile and followed up quickly with, "I promise it won't hurt. Saying it's a three-parter makes it sound more daunting that it really is, as if to give the illusion I put more effort into it than the normal truth question fare one is presented with in these situations."
He was relieved when he found out she was indeed she whom he sought, so he cleared his throat and asked her the three questions: "All three pertain to last year's school year. What was your favorite school memory and why? What was your saddest or angriest or most disappointing school moment and why? And finally, what was your most embarrassing school moment and why? And there is a bonus to this Truth round. If you make anything up, I'll never know, but even better is that if I ever were to find out you did make something up, I promise not to hold it against you, Pinocchio." And he smiled as he looked at her while hopping up on an empty rum barrel lashed to a series of other rum barrels along the port side.
"Feel free to take a load off and join me if you'd like. I won't bite while I listen. Promise."
Interacts with @Della Barfield
If Stephen gets another Dare from Reena to finish off this round, he will complete it and then exit the game. Chooses neither Truth or Dare for the next round.
The magic is real.
