Outside
InsideIt was decorated a variety of green shades. There were designs relating to potions and poisons scattered around.
Above the quote are the painted words 'Poison' to tell this tent apart from the others.
MembersThe inside of the tent was dark. The only light offered were floating potion bottles with green and purple fluorescent liquid that had smoke seeping out of them. The tent had divisions for each student that was staying in, although at the moment there were only four students signed up. In the middle of the tent, there was a large wooden table with chairs for each member. The chairs had tall backs with purple velvet cushions.
On the tent walls, there were various frames of newspaper clippings of articles related to poison. Some even included mysterious murders with no obvious cause of death, likely to be from some sort of undetectable toxin.
There was a black brick fireplace opposite the entrance of the tent. It illuminated with a bright green smoke. On its mantle, three frames of the current members. On either side of the table were long fuzzy rugs. For a tent labeled as poison, there was something quite inviting about it. It felt as though it was alive, patiently waiting for its guests to arrive. In anticipation for the students, there was a spread of delicious sweets on the table.
All that was left was the campers to come and add their own personal touches to their areas.

It looks like Ellie was the first to arrive at the tent. She wasn’t surprised as she purposefully left for the camp early to avoid large crowds. She wore light blue jeans, a bright yellow tank top and beige sandals. It was very warm out, making her regret the decision of wearing long pants. She had her small luggage with her packed with a couple of summer dresses and some comfortable outfits, in case she might go for a hike (like she normally would on camping trips with her family).
As she entered the tent, she was immediately taken back by the drastic change in size. From the outside the tent seemed standard size, but on the inside it was exponentially larger. She loved that there was a common area in the center, where her and her tent mates could enjoy some meals, and hopefully get to know each other better. The second thing she noticed was that even though there was a fireplace, there was a cool breeze within the tent that she was grateful for.
On either side of the tent she saw that there were divisions covered with curtains that separated the rooms for each camper. They all seemed identical in size, so she went for the one on the opposite end of the tent to the right of the fireplace. She entered her area to begin settling in. The room had a decently sized wooden bed and treasure chest to store her belongings, to keep with the pirate theme of the camp. She appreciated the barrel shaped chair in the corner. Something about it reminded her of her reading corner back home.
She began unpacking her things and patiently waited for the others to arrive. She hoped that they would want to take part in activities together. She will definitely need the extra nudge to be social.

Hogwarts Summer Camp, London❀
Alright, so, signing up for the tent was over and done with. As Glenys didn't know anyone yet, she'd just pointed at a design, then a tent at random and signed up for that. Now she only needed to find said tent and hope that she would get along with her tent mates. She wasn't overly worried on the second part, she was normally pretty easy to get along with and got along with most people well; but you never knew.
Luckily, it did not take Glen too long to find the right tent. The poison green was pretty noticeable and the limited amount of green tents narrowed things down. Well, it was certainly colourful, so that was a plus even if Glenys wasn't entirely sold on the tents' themes. The summer camp's theme, rather. She would have to see how it turned out.
Okay, she could do this! Meeting new people was great fun and she was about to. Nodding to herself in what would probably pass as encouragement, Glenys began to practically skip over to the tent and entered it, dragging her luggage with her.
Uh. The inside seemed a bit grim, at first glance. That was not what she expected after seeing the exterior. Oh well, too late to turn back now. Taking a brief moment to take it all in – and alright, it looked more inviting at a proper look-over than it did at first glance; still weird though – Glenys determinedly walked quickly into the cordoned off sleeping areas, to drop her stuff of in an empty one. She didn't bother unpacking; there would be time for that later. No. That would be a waste right now.
She smoothed down her sunflower yellow summer dress, one of her more plain dresses. It was a unicolour midi dress with butterfly sleeves and fit well with her orange sandals. Thus presentable again (not that she wasn't already, but grandma had a thing about creases and it it was habit now to smooth down clothes before going out to meet people), she returned to the middle of the tent with a bounce, and called out: “Hello! Anyone else here already?” She thought she heard someone rummaging in one of the other sleeping areas, but as eager as she was to meet people she wasn't about to burst into someone else's space. With an enthusiastic bounce she jumped up to sit on the table in the middle of the room to wait for an answer.
The green fire in the black fireplace looked pretty badass, actually.

Ellie started settling in. It was all beginning to feel real. Now that she is actually at the camp and there will be magic everywhere, she is starting to really feel like a student of Hogwarts. She wasn’t sure what to expect but the feeling was a positive one (even in a tent themed as poison).
She started to glance over the Itinerary. There were a lot of activities she would be interested in at least spectating, but was nervous to join anything alone. She really hoped that whoever her tent mates were, that they would be willing to join her on a few of the activities. She was deep in thought when she heard someone in the common area of the tent.
She stood still for a moment, frozen because she wasn’t expecting anyone to be there so early. “You can do this! Time to start making friends” She thought to herself. She took a deep breath and exited her part of the tent.
“Hi! Welcome to our tent. I’m Ellie. It’s nice to meet you. I didn’t think anyone would be here so early.” She barely let out a breath in between the sentences. Anxious was not the word for how she was feeling. She really hoped she didn’t leave a weird impression already.

There really was someone else here already! A chance at making the first of hopefully several new friends! The girl that approached her seemed quite nervous, but that wasn't exactly a surprise. Glenys thought she might be her own age, making her a fellow upcoming first year. Obviously, she might be wrong about that, but getting thrown together with an unknown group of people for a month would probably be reason enough to be a bit nervous without the added stumbling block of not knowing anyone at all yet – or well, only a small few met maybe once or twice through parents. (Which reminded Glen that she might possibly glimpse a familiar face or two, actually.)
Hoping to ease the other's nerves (and ignoring her own) Glenys grinned happily. “Hi! Nice to meet you, Ellie! I'm Glenys, but you can also call me Glen.”
Was it that early? Glenys hadn't really paid attention to just how early or how late they'd left to arrive here, since she'd been too excited to care about such minor details. It was sooner rather than later, probably, but while they certainly hadn't dallied they also hadn't rushed. “There were a bunch of people signing up for the tents.”, she offered with a shrug. “I think many are arriving now-ish. Have you been here already for long, then?”
Glenys was curious about her apparent tent mate but she also did not want to jump straight to interrogating them. While Glenys didn't show much if any nervousness outwardly, her hand found itself in her dress' pocket for Pebble to cuddle up against. She wasn't actively petting him, but the contact was steadying nonetheless. One more question wouldn't hurt, right? “I'm going to start at Hogwarts in September but I wanted to join the camp to meet people early. What about you? Are you also going to Hogwarts?”

Ellie then realized maybe she lost more time in her thoughts than she had realized when she was unpacking. “I haven’t been here long but wanted to get in early to mentally prepare myself” she let out a nervous laugh.
Truthfully, something about Glen actually made her feel a little more at ease. She seemed very polite and welcoming. She had a gut feeling that they would get along well. Or at least really hoped they would. She was nervous that the students she met over the summer might be a bit busy with their own tent mates this summer.
“Yes! I’ll be attending Hogwarts in the fall too. This will be my first year. My parents strongly encouraged me to attend the camp. I can be very shy, so they were hoping this would be my way of making a few friends before school starts.”
It hadn’t occurred to her as she was saying it, but it kind of made her seem a little pathetic. She hoped that Glen didn’t take it that way.
“I’m not entirely sure if anyone else has signed up for our tent. Have you had a chance to look at the schedule?”
She wanted to ease her way into a discussion of the activities anticipating she would want to do some of them together.

While Glenys wasn’t really prone to needing such a thing in social situations, she could understand the urge to mentally prepare for something difficult. Getting thrown into the deep end with no warning or preparation sucked. She nodded in commiseration.
Ellie was an upcoming first year, too! Nice. That meant she now knew one of her future class mates already! “That’s great! Maybe in September we can figure out Hogwarts school life together!?” Glenys wasn’t sure what to make of the second half of Ellie’s words however. She hoped that Ellie’s parents hadn’t forced her to attend because that would be horrible. She just wasn’t sure how to ask that. In the end, she only offered: “Well, we can see if we can be friends if you want?” … Okay, that sounded weirder out loud than it did in her head. She’d meant to say that she was open to being friends (kinda hoping for it, to be honest) but still, straight-up saying let’s be friends felt a bit too rushed considering they had just met not even five minutes ago.
“Not sure either.”, Glen shook her head. “Sorry. I didn’t really check, I pretty much just chose a tent at random since I pretty much don’t know anyone yet. And I haven’t checked out the schedule yet, either, aside from a quick glance.” Glenys shrugged. “I was more interested in finding the tent and meeting my tent mates, admittedly. Did you check the schedule yet? Anything interesting?” Glenys was interested in the other girl’s thoughts on the plans for the camp. Maybe there were some activities they – and their other tentmates once they showed up – would decide to check out together?

There was something about Glen that really put Ellie at ease. In her last few interactions with students, Ellie had felt so awkward. Glenys’ words made Ellie feel like they really could be friends and that she could be open with her.
“I would really like that…to both things!” Ellie said with a huge smile. The first day of camp was already going well.
Of course, she already had looked over the whole program. “Well, from what I could tell they have a lot planned. There is a BBQ scheduled later today and then other activities. I mostly looking forward to taking part in the Mutiny-Wolf game. I am a big fan of mysteries, so I think it will be really fun trying to figure out who the wolves are. There are going to be some quidditch games and I think other activities that I didn’t get to read into.”
Truthfully there was something called Prank Wars that Ellie really hoped her tent mates wouldn’t want to take part in. She wasn’t the prankster type of person, that was more so how her brother was. She thought it would be the fastest way to make enemies. “What are some of your interests? Do you like mysteries too?”
Ellie was sure they could find something they had in common, and even if they didn’t Ellie was open to tagging along if Glen would have her.

Oh, good, the weird way Glen had phrased that didn't seem to phase Ellie at all. She'd instantly agreed even. Summer camp was starting out splendidly. Now if only the rest of their tentmates would be as easy to get along with ... but for that they had to show up first. Maybe it really was still early?
"A barbeque? Oooh, nice." Glenys grinned eagerly at that. BBQs were amazing! Didn't matter if it was meat or vegetables or cheese, everything tasted amazing once grilled. (As long as it didn't get burnt to hell, to be fair. ugh. She instinctively shuddered at the memory. But she didn't think that would be a problem at Hogwarts, or well, Hogwarts camp.)
A Mutiny-wolf game?? What in the world was that? Ah. A mystery, so like a detective game? Eh... she'd rather not. So far she had found those kind of games mostly annoying. Either too boring, too convoluted, or both. She had never quite understood the draw, let alone why Corey and Marjam found them so incredibly intriguing. When she had to play it at birthdays and such, she mostly just suffered through it.
"Quidditch? Oh, right, dad mentioned something about there apparently having been summer games against other schools lately. That could be nice to check out, I've never actually seen a game. While I'm not much of a sports fan, I figure I should watch a game at least once, so why not one at camp?", the last part was a bit mumbled and it would be unclear if it had still been addressed to Ellie or if she had just been thinking out loud more to herself. Either way, Glen shrugged as if in answer to her own (rhetoric) question before asking: "Are you interested in Quidditch?"
At the mention of further activities, Glenys decided she would have to give that schedule a proper read-through later and said so: "Alrightie, we'll have to read up on those later then!" But there was time for that after getting to know the other(s).
Her interests? "Ah. I like painting. And colours. Colours are awesome! Mysteries can be interesting." Can be. Didn't mean they always were, in her opinion. Glenys just didn't have the right kind of patience for those, most of the time. "Board games are great, though I don't know how much opportunity for those there will be at Hogwarts." She was going to miss playing those with her Muggle friends just as she would listening to audiobooks while painting. But alas, magic school still trumped that. (Someone really should look into magic versions of electronics though, really. She wanted a mobile to keep in touch with them, but no can do because magic ... it was so stupid.)
"What are your interests aside from mysteries?"

Ellie shared Glen’s enthusiasm for the barbeque. She could feel herself getting hungrier by the second. She tried to digest everything Glen had asked. She was finding it a little difficult to concentrate on her given her excitement.
“Well, truthfully I’m not much into sports, but I wouldn’t mind catching the games while we are here.”
As she said it, she realized it was a half-truth. She wouldn’t mind watching a game, but if she really thought about it she was terrified of a crowded stadium. She hoped they could do more of the other activities too. Glen didn’t seem too thrilled at the idea of the mystery, but that was totally fine. For the most part, Ellie would be in her head for the game anyway, trying to figure it all out.
Glen liked to paint. Ellie wished she could be creative, but the reality was she didn’t really have a creative bone in her body. She would much rather read and imagine through the eyes of authors. Glen wanted to know her interests, this really was going well for her.
“I love board games, too! My family usually tries to fit at least one game in on our movie nights. I think it’s great you love painting. I lack all creativity, but maybe it’s something I could try for fun one day. I usually enjoy reading books in my spare time and journaling. I guess those two things go hand-in-hand. I like to spend time in our garden too.”
Ellie was for the most part a shy, laid-back girl. She always worried that made her uninteresting, but her family, especially Marcus, would reassure her she wasn’t.
“I’m so sorry, I realized you haven’t even had the time to settle in. I’m not sure where our other tent mates are, maybe we can walk around to check out some of the sign-up tents and the barbeque when you’re ready?”
She couldn’t help but grab one of the cookies on the table to hold herself over.
