Ours are not required to be shaved, but you are not going to place well if they are not.

All of the shows I have attended you get prize money and ribbons depending on how each goat places, so for every entry you get something. Although the only shows I currently go to are 4-H/FFA shows so everyone gets money.

It is easier for Gem and I to show our goats though because we are the only two that show Alpines at our county fair so it is just a competition to see who kept the better looking goats (normally Gem). Then at the end there is an overall Best of Show where you get a banner and more money if you win against the top goat of every breed that is shown there.

I don't get that lucky, I'm the only one with a Nigerian Goat, so my class gets pushed in with another Dairy goat's Class. And I always end up in Second or fifth
This year I found a fair with a special class for Nigerian dwarf goats, but it's a hour away and no one wants to drive there. Other then me.
