Goody-Two-Shoes
Una strutted inside the library, the insides of her bag rustling around on her hip. She glanced at the librarian sat at her desk, a book in her hands, flashing her a smile, but didn't stop walking. She had to find a quiet place to write her letters to her sisters and families who were presently back in Berlin, Germany. In the library, there was mostly silence, other than a whisper or some footsteps or the flipping of a book's page or the noise of a pen scribbling on parchment. As well as those noises, were the clicking of Una's heels; her school shoes were just like everyone else's but had a heel with a bit of a higher length, which made them snap and click on the stone floor of Hogwarts. She took a seat at a square table that had two wooden chairs opposite each other, and spilled out her bag's parchment and bottles of ink and quills.
The table was an utter dump! And Una would clean it up after finding the correct ink and quill to use. Charlotte and Zoë loved looking at rainbows, especially Una's colour-changing rainbow ink, so she often used that ink when sending them owls. She tucked away the other bottles of ink and quills that weren't pink-feathered. Unscrewing the ink bottle's cap, Una began dipping the tip of her quill in the metallic liquid. She pressed the tip of the quill onto the parchment and began - in curvy, cursive writing - the letter for her family in Germany.
𝒟e𝒶𝓇 𝓕𝒶𝓂𝒾𝓁𝓎,
𝓘 𝓂𝒾𝓈𝓈 𝓎𝓸𝓊 𝒶𝓁𝓁 𝒿𝓊𝓈𝓉 𝓈𝓸 𝓂𝓊𝒸𝒽!
𝓘𝒽o𝓅𝓮 𝓉𝓸 𝓈𝓮𝓮 𝓎𝓸𝓊 𝓈𝓸𝓸𝓃!
Una had had to write down in German, so her sister Charlotte could read it, and so Zoë could understand when it was read to her.

Lorelai glanced at the titles labeling the spines of the books that filled the shelves of the library. She was looking for another book to read in her spare time. She had nothing in mind, in particular, just finding something interesting. Right now she was in the fiction section, a part of the Hogwarts library that wasn't as impressive as most of the collection. She looked for anything remotely interesting but mostly found dusty old books written almost a millennia ago. She smiled when she eventually found a book that caught her eye, it was short but would last her at least the rest of the day. The Gryffindor ran through the lines of bookshelves, aware it was against the rules. She didn't care though, as long as she got to where she wanted to be faster.
She slowed her pace when she saw a girl, a Hufflepuff to be more specific, writing in rainbow ink. 'What an annoying way to write...'She thought to herself. Lorelai watched the girl writing from over her shoulder. She only glanced at the paper but was sure she saw German writing. Lorelai roughly took a chair out from a parallel seat. It made a loud noise, causing a few studying students in the general area to shush her. The Gryffindor just ignored them.
"What are you writing?"Lorelai asked out of nowhere. The tone of her voice came off as demanding, although it was intended to simply be firm.

Una smiled proudly to herself; her little sisters would just adore this letter! Opposite her, a chair was pulled out, emanating a loud, ear-killing sound, which made multiple people in the library shush the person. To see who had sat before her, Una looked up, freezing her body into the position of mid-writing. It was a girl, who had light rosy skin - much lighter than Una's rosy skin - and long black hair; she was very pretty. Just like Una was looking at the girl, the girl looked at her.
"What are you writing?" the girl asked, which made Una's face heat up. She had to be confident so the girl wouldn't judge her, although she had probably already judged her for writing in rainbow ink - or for another reason.
"I am writing a letter to my sisters back in Germany," Una replied courageously, forcing her back straight (and an almost perfect British accent). It was silent for a moment or two. "What are you doing here? Did you just come over to the library to ask 'what are you writing' to somebody?"
Once again, Una's face heated up red; now this girl who sat in front of her absolutely hated her! She couldn't show her anxiousness and worries in her face, so she kept it still and strong - as if she were a statue of some sort.

Lorelai was taken back by the girl's offense to her question. Sure, she herself had been kind of abrupt but she didn't have any ill intent or anything. The black haired girl was intrigued by her statement. Germany? That was pretty far. Didn't people who live in Germany go to a different school? She couldn't come up with a name of a German school. Her knowledge of the magic world was still limited, so she didn't know too much. Still, she was curious. However, the snappy questions of the blonde girl annoyed her further. I mean how rude was it really to just ask someone a question?
"Yes. Yes, I did. And I was just curious, jeez. No need to get upset over it."She said in a condescending tone, rolling her eyes. "You have sisters in Germany? Are you from Germany too then? What brings you to the UK?"
Lorelai seemed to be digging a bigger hole for herself. Her nature made it so even simple questions could sound rude if she wasn't in the right mood. She was still curious about this Hufflepuff and intended to continue talking to her until she was satisfied with all her answers. Her expression was as friendly as she could get it but her eyes gave away her irritation.

Una scrunched up her nose in annoyance, drawing a quick multi-coloured heart at the bottom of the parchment and packing the quill and ink away. She began rummaging through her bag to find a lip gloss or left-over makeup - Una was fascinated by makeup and just adored practising and exploring her own style when she wasn't busy - there was bound to be something there. At last Una found a shimmering capsule of vermillion lipstick; she applied a light coat of it and left a stain under where she had signed her name in the letter.
"You have sisters in Germany?" the girl opposite Una asked. "Are you from Germany too then?" A piercing, vexed look in her eye, Una stared at the girl. She simply nodded, folding the letter.
"It would not make sense if I wasn't German. I'm not sure how things work here in England but that's how it works where I am from: your sibling is German, you're German," the German explained, breathing slowly to keep her calm. The girl then proceeded to ask why exactly was she in Britain, which began to get on Una's nerves. This girl clearly seemed to have an infatuation with asking questions.
Una folded up the letter, she would post and envelope it later, back in her dormitory. "School. There is no Wizarding School in Germany so my parents decided: whichever Wizarding School sent me a letter to attend their school first, I would go to. Beauxbatons reached out to us first, Hogwarts did too, but I chose Hogwarts over Beauxbatons," she explained. Perhaps this girl wasn't as irritating as she made herself to be.

Lorelai cringed as the Hufflepuff applied a thin layer of red lipstick. 'Aren't you a first year? We're eleven! What eleven year old wears make-up?'She thought in annoyance. She was never the girly type, and somehow over the top femininity annoyed her greatly. The girl was bothered further by the girl's response to her question.
Lorelai didn't really know when to stop. She was pretty satisfied with the girl's answer about why she went to the school. The Gryffindor watched as the girl folded up the letter for her sisters. The Gryffindor assumed the girl was getting sick of her interrogation. That didn't stop her from continuing."I don't think we properly met yet. I'm Lorelai Brunelle."
She held out her hand for the girl to take. Lorelai didn't really care for this girl, but she didn't want to create a mortal enemy. What if this girl caught Lorelai doing something really against the rules, and told on her? She misbehaved enough for her to have to think about these things. It was an issue, but Lorelai didn't really want to address it.
Lorelai was tempted to start yelling a the girl but decided not to. It was a library after all, and behavior like that would get her banned. She liked the little corner of Hogwarts enough to bottle her anger. Although, she was visibly agitated. "Well, how would I know? Maybe you don't live with your siblings. Or maybe they were like metaphorical sisters. You know, like how good friends call each other sisters or brothers...""It would not make sense if I wasn't German. I'm not sure how things work here in England but that's how it works where I am from: your sibling is German, you're German,"

Una sighed, letting out a lot of stress and madness, breathed in, bringing in happy thoughts of cute puppies and kittens. The provoking girl opposite her proceeded to reach across the table with her hand and introduced herself. “Lorelai Brunelle,” the newly-identified Lorelai announced. Reaching towards Lorelai’s hand, Una smiled, though it was filled with vexed thoughts. “Una Dichmann,” she replied, smiling to vigorously and widely that dimples mildly appeared. Her name was the part of her that made her mostly insecure; her youngest sister’s maid had told her about the names people called her because of her surname when she attended Beauxbatons. When she peeled her hand back to herself, and after shaking Miss Brunelle’s hand, she internally winced, just awaiting the snigger and insult.
“Not quite pleased to make your acquaintance,” Una muttered in the German language. She hoped with her life that Lorelai had not the ability to speak or understand German. Although her statement was not the kindest - it was out of annoyance - a kind smile stayed on her face, playing a believable part in her character. “I do hope we do not become enemies,” Una said, her German accent thick, which indicated she either did not trust the person she was speaking to, or was not telling the complete truth... or both. Obviously, as Lorelai did not know Una as well as someone back in Germany did, she would not know that she had just been quite dishonest.

I hope that, even though Una and Lorelai may (or will) become enemies, we don’t

Lorelai smiled fakely at the girl she now knew was named Una. She thought it was a pretty name, but didn't think it would appropriate considering the hostile attitudes they both carried. She noted that the girls last name sounded German, something that didn’t surprise her in the slightest. The girl, Una, then said something in German. Lorelai had no clue what she was saying. The only languages she spoke where English and French. It annoyed her that Una would purposely speak in a language that she knew the other girl wouldn’t understand. And considering her tone, and need to not say it in English, she guessed it wasn’t so nice. ‘Well two can play at that game.’She thought, narrowing her eyes at the girl.
“Vous êtes si agaçantes. Quel est votre problème?"She asked, in her accentless French. Growing up in a Bilingual household had its advantages. The Huffle asked for them to not be enemies, in a thick German accent that Lorelai hadn’t picked up on until now. “Uh...yeah, we don't have a very good reason to hate each other do we...?”
She didn’t want to be bloodthirsty rivals with anyone but at the same time, she had negative feelings towards this girl. Then again, maybe they just got off at a bad start. Lorelai wasn’t really the most forgiving person, particularly to strangers. So a bad start may be enough to make her dislike someone for the rest of her life.

Nope of course not! OOC we can be friends
French Translation: You're annoying. What's your problem?
I'm only like 30% fluent in French so there's only so much I felt able to write. And I probably still messed up

Una looked up at Lorelai, her eyes scrutinising the black haired and pale skinned girl. In an annoyed tone Lorelai had just said something in a discrete language - French perhaps? It seemed so as the family who sat behind Una on the plane from Germany were speaking plenty of the French language. Though she only recollected it, and failed to translate what they were saying - unless it was in English, of course. Golden eyebrows shimmered in the light that came through the window as they furrowed deeply in perplexity and suspicion. Lorelai then said something about not really having a problem with each other or something - Una wasn't quite exactly listening, but actually pretending she was. In the act of listening, Una nodded and hummed in a yes tone. "You are quite correct, I feel," she said in order to complete the gesture. Some German accent lingered, which, once again, indicated an undertone of dishonesty.
Between the two girls was a silence until one of them thought of something to say, that one was Una. "I don't believe you have said why you are here. So..." Una began, giggling at the end. "Why are you here?" She looked at Lorelai and smiled. This time, everything was genuine - from the smile to the sentence, there was no trace of a thick accent. "And please tell me about yourself - there are few things I can guess from the start: Lorelai Brunelle, Gryffindor. And anything else you can just... ramble on about."
