It had been a week or so since Falentra had joined the Chaos Tent. The likes of Howard and Alan, were only two of the group she knew well enough to approach for a conversation that she knew weren’t likely to be offended by her awkward silence or tone of voice. Saying that, Howard and her were still on somewhat tense terms, so she really needed to pull him aside for a chat soon. Maybe after this. It was probably a wiser choice for her to choose a conversation with Howard first, to be once more on good terms with him, though it was unlike to be the case with what was to go down later on today. Teamwork and trust needed to be built for the coming weeks, but Falentra of course just couldn’t help want to create a little bit of chaos beforehand with none other than his little delicate flower, Bloom.

It was midday and the sun was glaring. The Slytherin didn’t know Scotland was able to showoff with such heat. It was horrible and Falentra wasn’t impressed. She hated it with a passion. It was the humidity that did it, so the tent was were she headed for the rest of the day.

Because it was so hot, everyone was out enjoying it. She expected the likes of Howard to be hiding around inside but even he wasn’t anywhere to be seen. She couldn’t help but think of Bloom now when she did him. They were probably off doing what normal teenagers did when they was in love.. as they should. But Falentra couldn’t help but hate that. Not only because she wished it was her, but because she knew she couldn’t be what Bloom was. She was the complete opposite of her. The Ravenclaw seemed so positive and cheerful. An optimist who saw the good in everything and everyone. Falentra was everything but that. She was very jealous of Bloom, but also envious. Two things which she would never admit, and as a result she slowly started to show hatred and cruelty towards her. No more forced smiles or gently teasing. It wasn’t enough to satisfy her. Bloom needed to feel sadness.. she needed to feel her pain. It wasn’t fair that she was happy and in love.. she couldn’t accept it. It was obvious Falentra had become a bitter, cold-hearted person. Before it was only the rumours from her stone-cold stares and rude comments that were whispered throughout the school, but her actions now were to speak louder than any before. She cared little for the consequences and went with what her..heart, or head told her to at that exact moment in time.

She had been sat within her bed with her back was to the wall. Those seemingly empty eyes for hers wandered around the room with a hint of boredom in them. She had no idea what to do for the rest of the day. Sleeping was an option but another night spent wide awake was going to drive her insane! It was only when her eyes landed on Blooms bed that she would get a brilliant idea. Her back shot up straight and her hands rested down beside each her legs that hung over the bed. She lent forward and squinted her eyes at the suitcase in which was hidden somewhat beneath it. “Oh petal.. if there is one thing that isn’t pretty about you, it’s your fashion sense..” She murmured to herself before standing. Her eyes shot towards the entrance of the tent to make sure she was in the clear, then with a few long strides, her legs carried her over to the others bed.
She wasted no time in getting to work. Anyone could come in at any given moment, so she pulled the case to the bed and took her wand in hand. “Alohomora”, She spoke with confidence though casually as if the spell was just another word. As if she had used it that much that it was a spell that took little effort to perform.

Ahh. That sound never got old, and brought joy to her ears. She had successfully opened Blooms small case which held her..uhm.. ‘clothes’, if that’s what one would call them. They were, in Falentra’s opinion, tacky and noticeable old. Probably passed down from her family members. “How..sad..” She spoke again to herself, enjoying every moment of her devious act. It really was sad… not because Bloom had old worn clothes, but because Falentra had also gone through a time were some of her belongings were once just as old and withered. Time spent with so much hatred and anger on her mind had simply erased or blocked out those old memories. Whether that was for the best or not, was still unknown to her.

Her wand was still in hand and with another swift movement, she would cast another spell, this one more exciting and dangerous. “Incendio” she whispered, her voice filled with rage this time around. You could sense the anger in it and every moment she spent casting it was meaningful and to her, purposeful.

A small flame set alight on what she thought was all clothes. She stepped back a few steps and looked down at her work, admiring it in silence. There was no wicked smile on her face. In fact, there was no emotions at all, but inside she was laughing and getting a complete thrill off it.

Thankfully, her silence meant she heard a small scuffle coming from outside the tent. It gave her enough time to take a few more steps back and slip her wand into the back of her pocket. Her eyes shot over to the entrance and she saw no other than Bloom enter. Shit! She thought. Of course she wanted her to see the mess, just not now. The Slytherin had to act out innocent, at first. She wanted to see the reaction before owning up to it. Enjoy it a little. “Bloom! I just.. I just woke up to the smoke! What’s going on?!”

The idea of having the entirety of the Hogwarts Hexwizard team was stressful at the beginning, but slowly began to feel normal over time. Bloom still knew that she had to work things out with Serena, as she did not want to lose her as a friend because she was now with Howard, who she also crushed on. Was a boy going to be the reason for their friendship to end? Bloom wanted to fix that.

Even more-so, she felt like she had a great handle on Falentra. For the past couple of weeks, they had been civil to each other with nothing too catty between the two. Bloom felt that there was possible growth between them and hoped, for Howard's sake, that it could stay like that for awhile. Bloom was open to new friendships, even if it could be a little awkward in the beginning.

It was midday and the sun was beaming brightly outside. Bloom spent most of her time outdoors, getting a tan, wearing her one bathing suit that she owned. It was the same one that she wore year after year: a blue boring one-piece. Her hair was up in a messy ponytail and she was completely relaxed from such a nice day. Over time, however, she felt that it was a little too hot and needed to go back to the tent to dress back into comfortable clothing that she had available and stay inside to rest.

Bloom, in bathing suit, was at the entrance of the tent. She looked back out to the open area where there was tent after tent when she could smell something off inside her own. The bright light made it difficult for her to see right away on what was happening with a bright circle in the middle of her sight. But when her eyes shifted its ability to see in darker areas, she saw a collection of smoke occurring at the corner of the tent. There, she also saw a dark figure.

Wait, that's by my bed! Bloom thought and she ran to what looked like a little fire and there, on the ground, was her entire wardrobe that she kept in her suitcase, burning into nothing. Bloom's eyes began to water and it wasn't because of the amount of smoke that was filling the area. She looked at Falentra who seemed shocked and said that she just woke up to the smoke. Bloom squinted her eyes at the Slytherin, trying to figure out if she was telling the truth or not.

But their week... They had been civil. This couldn't have been her, right? They were on good terms the entire time. Why would she do something so terrible to her all of a sudden? Bloom's heart began to race. She ran around the fire and to her bed where her wand lay under her pillow. She pointed her wand at the fire that was slowly growing. "Shit! What's the spell again? Auguamento? No... Augua...." Bloom was having a hard time focusing on the simple spell that she would have learned probably her first year. She was beyond overwhelmed with what was happening. She couldn't compartmentalize her thoughts to think of the one spell that could save all her belongings.

Instead she dropped her wand and looked at her stuff burning into smithereens. Bloom's eyes couldn't keep the tears in anymore. They began to trickle down her heart shaped face. She took a step back and watched her only clothes burn into ash within her suitcase. "That's all I have," she whispered, staring at the suitcase as the fires danced uncontrollably, eating each article of clothing.

"That's all I have," she repeated again, her whisper even softer. Bloom hoped that Falentra would put out the fire, but it was up to her. Bloom just let it go. She was in shock. Now, all she had for the rest of summer was the swimsuit that she was wearing and nothing more. Bloom looked up at Falentra, looking for answers. "Who would do something like this?" she asked, hoping Falentra could have seen something. "Did you see anyone?" Bloom figured she would give Falentra the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps she was sleeping and someone else did this. Perhaps they were on good terms.

Bloom began to riddle through people that did not like her. Luckily, there were not many. She thought that many people liked her. Serena? No... She was too kind and it couldn't be her at all. She would never do something like this to anyone. But there was one name that she remembered that both were not a fan of each other: Aurelia... It had to be her. And seeing that she was with Falentra at the Quidditch game, perhaps Aurelia had come by and seeing Falentra asleep thought it a good idea to pull something like this. Bloom was slowly filling herself with anger.

Keep your cool Fal. Just play along a little longer. This reaction was classic. The girl hadn’t even entered the tent two minutes ago and she was already in tears. They were just clothes. Falentra raised a brow whilst watching the reaction, not saying anything in return at first. She was too busy taking it in, savouring the moment with that still blank expression. She probably should have shown some sort of sadness, but it wouldn’t be seen as strange for her not too either. Falentra wasn’t the type to be overly expressive or show signs of concern to those she doesn’t know well, it didn’t take a wise person to pick up on that.

Then, when the words finally left the Ravenclaw’s mouth, Falentra almost stopped breathing for a second. Yes, she eas enjoying this greatly. Yes, she was very cruel and toxic, but she knew what was right from wrong, even if she went against it, which meant she had a conscience somewhere in there. It was enough for her to feel a moment of guilt. Was it really all the girl had.. in that suitcase? Another moment of silence came from Falentra before she scoffed, her way of pushing aside the pity she started to feel. “What?” She answered finally. “No. I didn’t see anyone.” Her gaze followed Bloom, watching her weak attempt at putting out the fire. She failed miserably. She was.. a mess. She hadn’t seen this side to Bloom before, and really.. she had no reason to ever see it. Nobody should bully someone to cause an emotion like this to spew, yet here it was.. being blurted out in front of Falentra. It almost left her speechless. She didn’t know how to react, now that it hit her fully; the realisation setting into place.

“Aguamenti? Is that what you are trying to say?” Falentra asked Bloom. It was probably the time for Falentra to step up and at least make up for the mess she had done. To put out what fabric was left. But she didn’t. She just stood there, her arms folded and a judging cold stare holding down on the other. “Well? Try again. You can’t be this pathetic during the tournament, you know that right? What if Howard gets hurt. Are you going to stand there crying like a baby or are you going to pronounce a simple spell properly?” There it was. The dark side to Fal finally revealing itself. It felt good. Holding back that long was like torture.

Falentra took out her wand and pointed it at the other, her head tilting slightly in the same direction as her wand. “Can you protect him? If you can’t even put out a small fire like this.. how are you.. going to protect someone you love? You.. you are no good..” Her tone was much different to how Bloom normally had heard it in the past. She was almost always monotone when it came to her speech, but now that hint of craziness and spite could be heard. “You are a weak delicate flower who will never be strong enough to protect Howard.”

The fires began to eat at the suitcase itself. Taunting with its dance as it devours every last bit of Bloom's possessions. And although Falentra had mentioned the spell, Bloom did not care to grab her wand and put it out. It was useless now. All of her belongings were gone into nothingness and for the moment, she felt just as nothing, too. Falentra's words didn't help either.

Bloom was zoning out, staring at the fire now getting smaller and smaller. Her eyes glued to the lowered flames and her hears listening to Falentra sharing how terrible she would be by Howard's side. Bloom felt that Falentra was right. How could she protect Howard during the tournament? She couldn't even protect her own belongings, how could she protect the love of her life? Immediately, for a split second, she remembered their first night together when they shared their love for each other...
Bloom was sitting on the couch with Howard and they had both tickled each other trying to get the coin. When Bloom grabbed the coin, the first question she asked him was, "What do I have to offer?" His response made her feel good. It made her feel like their love was strong. He wanted her by his side at no costs. Even if she fell behind, he would get her. Them staring at each other for what felt like forever, made her feel loved, secure and safe.
Bloom came back to reality and thought more about that evening. He wanted her by his side, no matter what. But then Bloom really began to think about it. Howard would stop his tournament for Bloom. While that was romantic, it was also a sign that Bloom wouldn't be able to be there for Howard; to protect him and make sure that he was safe just as much as she would be by his side. Bloom just realized that he was just being nice. She was definitely useless out on the field.

"You're right," she said, grabbing her wand and getting up from the ground. The flames were growing, and she could feel the heat of the fire on her face. Bloom cleared her throat and tore her chocolate brown eyes, the whites red, away from the smoke and to Falentra, who, Bloom realized was showing no emotion to the entire situation. There was no 'sorry' or helpfulness. Just putting her down the entire time. Was it Aurelia or was it her? Bloom couldn't tell, but found it odd that there was nothing coming from Falentra other than how terrible of a partner Bloom was to Howard.

Bloom took a deep breath in and out. She pointed her wand at the fire and stated the incantation with monotone. "Aguamenti," she said, remembering the incantation from when Falentra said it. Strong mist came out of the tip of her wand and began to lessen the fire into nothing but thick smoke. Everything inside was either burnt up, gone, or was unwearable from the amount of holes the fire had left. Bloom officially had no clothing other than the swimsuit that she was wearing.

Falentra was right that Bloom was not going to be able to protect Howard for whatever is to come, but a glimpse of hope spread through Bloom's mind, body and soul. There was a reason Howard chose to be with her and not Falentra. There was a reason why Howard wanted Bloom by his side. Falentra was his darkness in the past. Bloom was his light for the present and future.

"But you're also wrong," she said with a shaky voice, wiping away her tears from under her eyes and around her cheeks with the back of her left hand. "I may not be perfect in doing my spells or potions. And I will always be fearful of the unknown. But, I am strong in knowing that I will always be there for Howard and stay at his side no matter what," Bloom paused and glared at Falentra. "I may be weak to you, but I am by no means delicate," she said, her tone strengthening.

She then had the strength to ask straight up. There was no harm in doing so, right? "Did you do this, Falentra?" she asked, her eyes squinting at the Slytherin. It was a guess, but with the amount of unhelpfulness the sixth year gave Bloom, she felt that it probably could have been her.
