Clair flipped the page, looking at the book with it's stupid lies about Unicorns.
"honestly! even Muggles should know better, Floating sparkles? PSH!" She was so lost in her own world that she did not even hear or see the other girl enter.

when the girl started to speak Clair was rather surprised. "Oh hello there!" she greeted. but as soon as the girl said Hogwarts, Clair squeaked and put her finger to her lips. "Shhhhh!"

checking to make sure there were no Muggles around Clair nodded, seeing none she decided it was safe to talk.
"Yes, I do. I assume you do as well? seeing as you know about it." she closed the Muggle book.
"I'm Clair, Clair Fernandez. Nice to meet you Lily!" she smiled kindly. "You might wan to be careful talking about the school. Muggles don't know about it remember!" She pointed to the book.
"Their pretty sad aren't they. They can't get their facts right!" she sighed. "if only they knew. if only they knew."

She looked back at the girl, and made eye contact "So, where are you from? I'm from Carlisle. My Grandmother brought me here for the summer break though." she decided not to get into the facts.

Clair smiled, "Yeah, their like super stupid." She opened the book again, "See, Unicorns are hatched from a egg, laid by a spider monkey who ate a Rainbow on the full moon. Making them very rare" she snorted. "I don't know how muggles can be so stupid!" She tried to wonder if her Grandmother would think that these books were true, and that all this junk was really facts.

"Cool! I love Kent! I went with my friend once. It was amazing. We -my family and I- went there with my pre-school friend when she moved there. She ended up moving away again, but that's ok." Even if she said it was Ok, Clair knew it was not. It had been a end of a lovely friendship that had meant a lot to her. But knowing that she was touching shallow waters with herself Clair moved on.

"I'm a Eagle!" She looked around quickly making sure no one was listening "but my best friend, Simon, is a Hufflepuff. He is a prefect!" She grinned, it never git old telling, Hogwarts, people that her best friend was a prefect, even if they did not care.

"Ahh, the house of the cunning, do you feel you fit there well?"

Clair smiled, "It's ok, She was a muggle anyways, so it would have been really hard to keep secrets from her." She paused, yeah, it was true she would not be able to tell Fern, yet Fern had known her so well, how could they not share such a secret? Yes. It was better that Fern was gone.

"it is Cool! But now I can't tell him about how amazing a trip after dark was, or something like that. You know, that's how Simon and I met. We were both outside just before curfew, and then we met up with the caretaker Kit Paine, and Simon thought he was a hag, so he threw a shovel at him!" Clair was now grinning from ear to ear, she very much enjoyed talking about how they had before friends.

"I've heard many people say that. I feel like it does not matter what house you land it, but what you make of being there." She smiled, "both my sisters are Slytherin, and one is very Kind and rather like a hufflepuff, and the other is, well like what everyone says Snakes are." She smiled.
"i feel like I belong in Ravenclaw, Everyone is very nice. When I first entered I thought that I'd maybe be a Hufflepuff or Snake, but I was happy to get Ravenclaw."

Clair nodded "Yeah, it was the nearest thing to Simon" she laughed "And he ended up hitting Kit right in the head if I'm remembering correctly. I was so afraid that we were going to get expelled! But we did not even get a detention. Just told to go back to our dorms." She thought for a moment, "I have often thought back to it, and I wonder if Kit did not give us detention or get us expelled because he understood that it was not meant in a bad way, but as act of self protection."

She nodded, Lily seemed like a very smart person.
"That is very true, and I've heard kids in my house saying that they were placed in the wrong house because they've got bad grades, or they find the riddles to get in hard. But then I see them doing something, and it's just so smart, in their own way. Maybe they think of a way to help their friend remember to get to classes on time, or they make a basket out of flowers for their books." She took a breath, "I'm sure it's the same way in other houses too."

she smiled, Animals where something she could talk about for years.
"yeah! I've got a Bunny that I take to school with me, her name is Comet! And then I've got lots of pets at home too! I live on a farm, so there are tons of animals! Cinnamon the goat, Harmony the Cow, Blaze and Spark are my horses. And then we have a working dog as well!"

"Umm, I think it was just past eight?" She said, trying to remember the exact time, But failing.
She nodded, "Yeah my friend was that way, she would do, amazing in English and fail at her Maths test." She smiled, "The human brain is so cool, we can understand somethings so well, and other things we don't understand at all. Some of us are lucky and some of aren't."

Clair brightened up even more, "Farm life is so amazing, I fond it so cramped in the city, people acting like a herd of cattle, pushing and racing by each other with nothing on their minds other then themselves and what they want to do or have to get done." She shook her head. "Farm life is so free, fields rolling out on every side of you, Cows grazing in the fields, Chickens scratching the ground in search of bugs. Pigs snorting, Sheep bleating" she smiled happily, for her she found it like a dream, it had been months since she had been at her farm properly.
"and the smell is amazing too." She smiled with joy as she remembered the smells of the farm.
"Sometimes it smells like sweet hay and baby animals. And sometimes it smells like cows and corn. The smells change all the time!"

Clair thought about it for a moment. "I don't know. Because I've always loved to bend the rules, but being a prefect would be fun. Of course there would be certain downfalls. Like the fact that if you caught your bestie breaking rules you'd have to hive them trouble still. Well maybe. I think I could handle the responsibility and I think I could do it..." She did not bother finishing the thought that she would have a perfect reason to be out after curfew if she was a prefect.

She nodded, "It is great, I honestly don't know how people live in cramped cities like these?" She waved around her, "I don't know how I've lasted the summer so far!" She laughed softly.
"Comet is a Devil's Spawn." Clair said, realizing she had not given Lily a answer to her question.
Clair thought for a moment. "Well, I've got lots of friends, but my best friend would have to be Simon Kincaid." She thought for another moment, "Avery Chen is pretty cool, I've only met him once or twice though. Umm, Samantha Salwis seemed pretty nice, she and I chatted one evening. Just don't mention breaking rules around her because A, she is now a prefect, and B, she is super against breaking rules." Clair tried to think of more people, "my mind has drawn a blank, thats All I can think of. Sorry!"

Clair nodded, "Yeah, I'll admit to sneaking about in places I should not be. Like a million times." She giggled, "Simon and I went a few times before he became prefect, I guess I'll have to be more careful in the future, I mean, he knows that I like to break rules, well some rules..." She let her voice die out as she realized that she was going on a rabbit trail.
"I've snuck in, quiet a few times, and I've only been caught once!" She said proudly. "And I also got out of that too." She smiled, "When we're in school, find me sometime and I'll take you there.
There is a shop I've yet to explore and maybe you'd like to see it?" she offered, even if she was not one for clothing shopping she was interested in seeing was the wizard wear shop had in stock.
"Their very nice rabbits, Comet knows a bunch of tricks too!" She said proudly.
"I'm stuck in London for the whole summer, sadly. Yeah K would have loved too! I get to go for the broom race, but other then that nope." She sighed, "My grandmother is a muggle, so when I brought up the idea of going to my school's summer camp she wanted to know where it was, and I could not trust her enough to tell her."

Clair stared at her, "You've never broken a rule? Wow girl, we need to fix that." She nodded at her statement, "Yes, we'll have to fix that for sure!"

"I'm not sure. To be honest I've never gotten detention." She paused "At least not had This school. In my Muggle school my professor hated me because I'd zoom through her lessons, and then I'd draw on my shoe." Clair shrugged, "I don't think it was a bad habit, but apparently it made her nice polished floor, which was not very polished mind you, all dirty." Clair stopped again, "So she would give me detention for Dress code. Somehow drawing on you shoe messed up your dress code! Anyways I'd just have to write lines, often along the lines of 'I won't draw on my shoe' or 'I'm a bad girl for drawing on my shoe.' I never really cared about stopping though, because if I stopped then I'd have nothing to do for the time that I had to wait!" It was one of her odd habits that she had had, and because she did not want to doodle on her paper and mess up her school work, her shoe had been the next best thing.
Clair nodded. "Yup! I race on my house team!" She smiled, "Are you in any sports?"

Clair nodded, "yeah, I think it's because it's mostly prefects who give out detentions. From what I've heard everyone says that the Professors are to lazy to give detentions, because they would loose their weekends and have to deal with bratty kids. But Prefects like to torture the younger students."
She smiled, "Muggles are much meaner, in every way."
Clair nodded, "Right? It's a pain, once your done your lesson you should be able to just leave."
Clair's face lit up, "woah, that's Soooooo smart! I'm surprised they noticed." Clair had never thought of doing it, but to her it seemed like a fool proof plan.
"Dueling seems pretty cool, lots of people do it, I've only done a few unofficial duels, which I lost in almost every one of them!" Clair laughed a little. "And I've only ever played Quidditch in a pick up game once or twice. So Broom racing is my go to favourite, at the moment at least." She was defiantly not bias about the whole thing. "Broom racing is also the coolest. In dueling one team has to be knocked out or close to it for the other team to win. And in Quidditch there are people chucking led balls at you! Broom racing is much safer." Clair did not bother to mention the fact that Broom racing had spells and stuff flying at you.
