@Evelynn DecipioTwo days until the big game. Two more big days. I had requested the team to put off a few hours of their evening downtime tonight so that we could get together and practice just a little bit more before we faced off against Ravenclaw, the resident champions of Hogwarts this summer.
Collecting the team to myself, I speak shortly and briefly with them. "In two days, we fly." I chew my bottom lip, picking a bit at the black collar of a referee's robe that is just a smidge too tight at the shoulders for me. Valetin is bedecked in the same robes, and our loyal brooms are in tow; his a glossy, mercurial Silver Arrow and mine a gleaming, antique Firebolt. "In two days we reclaim glory. And in two days, no further amount of practice will be able to save us. It will be go time, whether we like it or not."
I look each player up and down with a serious look in my eyes. They've all come such a long way... But they need to come along just a little more. They need to feel each other's fears and mindsets, understand what it takes to play a position that is not their own and the focus required to perform the job perfectly to obtain victory. "You will be playing each others' positions."
I point to each player, informing them of their new positions. "Madhup; Keeper. Charlie and Lys; Beaters. Johan; Seeker." Arjan and Astrid remain. I indicate to them both. "Astrid, Arjan; Chasers. Oh... And don't worry about being short-staffed." I smile quietly, almost unable to hold back my excitement as the special surprise. "You'll have an old expert playing with you today. Greta! Come on over!" I wave over our very special guest, a member of the original Durmstrang Quidditch team and a fearsome opponent to boot. Greta Fransson; Chaser, Duelist, Wandmaker, Dolchezza, and Little Valkyrie. "For those who don't know her, meet Greta, the fearsome Valkyrie of the skies. For this who do know her, welcome her back. We're lucky to have her."
After a short explanation of the rules, I mount my broom and wait for the team to take their positions on the field before hefting the Quaffle in my hand lightly and throwing it into the air.
The scrimmage had begun.Stats:

Reducio
This will be a faux, 5 round Quidditch game scrimmage moderated by me, so post stats, abilities and chosen stats/abilities for brooms (if applicable). Once the first person posts, the thread will be open for actions for 2 weeks or until everyone has posted. After my moderation is complete, the next moderation will occur exactly one week later or sooner if everyone posts before then. This game, since we don't have enough people for two games, stars each role playing against each other with their own win conditions in mind.
Beaters: KoB 4 players and ensure that the Seeker does not catch the Snitch or that they "hit the ground" (aka, gets caught by Romeo or Val). You can work together or turn on one another at will. Note that the first objective does not mean that the player has to hit the ground, but that they are knocked off their broom. You may NOT target Romeo or Val as they are refs and a lifeguards who will return people to brooms if they are able to! Sorry!
Chasers: Score at least 130 points and ensure the Seeker does not hit the ground (aka: get caught by Romeo or Val)
Keeper: Block at least 110 points and ensure the Seeker catches the Snitch
The position that completes their win conditions (or is the closest to doing so at the end of the 5th round) is the winner! Remember that this is an unofficial game, so you still have to post a minimum of 200 words in a post
Seeker: Catch the Snitch within 5 rounds and don't "hit the ground" (get caught by Romeo or Val)Referees/Savers (will always perform either "Catch" or "Return to Broom" actions): Romeo Marchonné @Piérre Marchonné & Valetin Schnell @Aida Mórsgor-Ama Ellwood
Seeker: Johannes Sauer @Astrea Soleil Neptune
Beaters: Charles Alluring @Henry Knight & Lysander Stavrou @Phaedra Stavrou
Chasers: Greta Fransson @Evelynn Decipio, Arjan Oberoi @Serena Towers, & Astrid Olsen @Anastasia Varney
Keeper: Madhup Hexum @Pericles Dralt

Charles took the long path to the stadium. Taking his time, walking past the laughter and smiles of other students. Knowing well, that he would be a few minutes late for the scrimmage but not minding.
The blonde spent a bit of the morning polishing his broom, talking with friends. Departing for the stadium merely minutes ago. The blonde promised them the summer, promised to spend time with them the next few weeks, promised his friends and yet he felt as if he barley sees them.
Walking alone, broom in hand. The blonde passed groups, groups of friends laughing among themselves... reminding himself of the times he spent with his own. Creating mischief together. Laughing among themselves, not caring how others saw them... what they thought of them. The teen caught his reflection, staring at a puddle of water on the ground. The rippling of the water. Charles stared at his reflection, what happened to him... who did he become? Did he belong with those durmstrang? With his teams? Was it a lie? A half truth he was telling himself?
The blonde rubbed at his chest, stretching his neck a tad as he walked on. Nearing the stadium where he would play a quidditch match in a few, short days aginest hogwarts.
The blonde slipped through, walking on the field. Approaching the group, he caught Valentin's eye. Well, he was late. Offering him a nod, the words as he spoke"frost captain," his eyes scanned the group. Picking up one familiar face of Greta Fransson, smiling to the girl. He was glad to see her, looking forward to finally play besides her. This would be fun.
The rules explained. The blonde took a beaters bat in his right hand, a pratice swing. Cutting the bat through the air. Charles smiled a little to himself, looking forward to the game again, the blonde looked up from his bat. Casting a glance toward Greta as he spoke"Good luck, Fearie. Looking forward to playing aside you today." The blonde would offer a nod accompanied by a smile to the girl. He couldn't shake the feeling he felt for her, seeing her in the same light as Haley Rose or Astrid Olsen. As a little sister.
The quidditch team little sister. Astrid Olsen. The blonde would find a spot besides her on the grounds, casting a nod toward her as he spoke"ready?" Since spending the last weeks of July together at the bootcamp, the blonde felt himself occasionally taking the girl under his wing. Finding himself wanting to protect her, perhaps because she proven to be the youngest player on the team.
The blonde would mount his broom, bat in hand, giving Johannes an glance as he pointed the bat at him, "seeker fits your height there, Leprechaun," the blonde couldn't help the banter. It felt right to do with Johannes, a act to soothe one's nerves and present an distraction before the game.
Pushing his feet aginest the ground at the command of Romeo, he would hover in the air for a moment as he scanned the field. Drifting toward Johannes through the air, finding a spot inches from him Charles spoke"how about an bet? Loser maintains the winners broom for the next month?" The blonde question, twirling the bat in hand as he was looking forward to knocking some lads off their brooms.
