Trix couldn't believe the way the game was going. They needed to find the snitch soon or they would lose! Concerned for their teammates, Trix tried to be as loud as they could while they cheered their teammates on. Hopefully, their cheerleading would help. They didn't know how, but right now it was the only thing they could do.

River would come up to the snitch from an Alley Oop, but miss both grabs. Truly a shame. But before she could right herself and try again, Stanley Buttons and his chauffeur Serena Bowen Spiral Dived and snatched it right in front of her. Good on you Button Babby.

Due to some errors that might have influenced the results of this game, we are marking this game as a "tied game" and IC going to claim once the snitch was grabbed that the bludgers were "tampered with". The bludgers ended up destroying part of the bleachers and caused severe injury to several players but of course all you injured folk will recover thanks to our former school nurse Kelsey. Unfortunately over the course of the next few weeks he "learns too much" and has come to the unfortunate conclusion that he muse leave Hogwarts and seek employment elsewhere.

Therefore, both teams are considered to have "won" the match. Players on both teams who have posted every round on time will be eligible. The exception being one person whose KO status was ambiguous which caused their posting to be an outlier.

By the games conclusion, eight students had met the pitch. it is not unheard of or even uncommon for there to be student injures, however there was something uncommon about these injuries, about the damage done to their brooms that now lay mangled on the grassy field. It was not about the quality but rather the quality of the injuries that were not noticed until the students were carried off in gurneys and brought to the Medical Wing for evaluation and treatment. The mending of bones, the replenishment of blood, the growth of new skin and the sterilization of lacerations and abrasions were in truth elementary tasks for a practiced practitioner such as Kelsey. Unfortunately, there was something of concern noted during his routine assessment - the injuries were not responsive to his healing. At least not in the way that they should be - the healing was delayed, the tissue appeared necrotic in arts. It was not unlike the inky blackness that had plagued a number of students in Hogwarts the years previous. Similar, but not the same... and most importantly not an injury that would come from a Bludger of any kind.

He was able to treat their injuries with relative ease. How he recalled the antidote that many had already forgotten as memories of that dark curse faded with any sign of the spreading blight would be a mystery to some. It was rarely mentioned if at all how he came to find that cure, but that was how things were in Hogwarts. People were swift to forget. So he made more, more of the potions that which would serve as a cure for a curse that should have been gone. A curse that was changed, something worth considering and looking into and he certainly did.

Only, his office would be turned over. His notes stolen, possible burned. It would be possibly the threatening letters he had gotten from an unknown source that urged him to leave, mentioning the need to protect what was important to him - his dear mother. They had sent him photographs, nothing compromising, just her at the market, her in her garden, her reading a book from inside her home and from an angle that suggest that the picture was not taken from a window...

There was one thing that he did discover, something that would leave him unsettled if it was true. The dark, almost eschar-like deterioration he had harvested. It was damaged by sunlight, it required a dark environment to subsist in prime form. It resembled something that had not been seen or mentioned for years some to think of it -- endless night.

What was Endless Night? Endless Night was a consumable substance taken illicitly by a subpopulation of wizards back in the 1990's and early 2000's. Production ceased around the tun of the century, Kelsey was a young man back in those days. This was the sort of thing taken by the dregs of society and had disastrous consequences. There was a euphoria as well as a cost, a madness that spread like a terrible blight and he would have to be left to wonder why. How? And of course more importantly who?

There were some differences as well as similarities, so there would be one thing that was obvious, this was not the final product (still). No, this was a work in progress and it would seem that someone was onto him.

• Ami she was rendered unconscious and had extensive injuries. There was a marbelization to an ecchymotic area on her flank where the darkened tissue was necrotic and needed to be debrided. After this, she was able to be healed as per the normal protocol. The area was otherwise resistant to healing. The injury did shrink some from the cure being applied to the injury, however it did not entirely dissipate this time (concerning) but he was able to extract it after shrinking it.
• Serena was injured in the leg. The audit suggests she should be KO'd but that contradicts what has been roleplayed. This is a good RP opportunity for her, so she would be experiencing severe pain in the area of injury and have a noticeable darkened, necrotic area on her calf. The area would be slowly, but noticeably spreading similar to the curse when under her pantleg, when exposed to light it would slow down. Something she might independently discover. Again, resistant to conventional healing, shrunk by the curse used previously for the curse. The injury did shrink some from the cure being applied to the injury, however it did not entirely dissipate this time (concerning) but he was able to extract it after shrinking it.

The area would be slowly, but noticeably spreading similar to the curse when under his shirt, when exposed to light it would slow down. Something he might independently discover. Again, resistant to conventional healing, shrunk by the curse used previously for the curse. The injury did shrink some from the cure being applied to the injury, however it did not entirely dissipate this time (concerning) but he was able to extract it after shrinking it.
