Maeve is a rather shy child, who is quite dreamy. Intelligent and determined, she usually gets her way. She is very hard on herself, and knowing that her family has little money, she never asks for anything. She likes to write sentences in her notebook, drink chocolate while reading and heard the sound of the rain. Adults often find her strange, but does their opinion matter? She can be very funny with the other childrens

Maeve was born and raised in Cork, in a family with a modest standard of living. Her mother, Ann-Kathryn, is a witch and her father, Ronan, is a Muggle. Maeve is an only child, but she has a cousin whose name is Hannah. Having gone to the Muggle school, Maeve has had little contact with magic: her mother's family are witchs, but the little girl don’t realize yet. At home, they are six : Grand Ma’, Grand Pa’ , Margaret ( the other grand mother) , Ann Kathryn, Ronan and Maeve. Due to lack of money, her family has only been on one trip, and Maeve's mother makes her clothes. She grew up in a happy home, safe in the house at 17 Willow Street.Her best friend is a Muggle, Henry, but the children of Willow Street are a tight-knit group. She has a normal story, and is a very normal girl.
