Truth or Dare — Group TWO
EXPLANATIONReducio› Students have been separated into smaller randomized groups (15-16 per group)
› Round A: Students have (ICly) each received their target as determined by the firing of the canon (determined by me OOCly with randomized rolls) and have been told the choice (truth or dare) of that individual.› Round B: Students either answer the question, fulfil the contract of the dare, or choose to back down (either through RP or failure to post) from the game. Additionally, students will again write either TRUTH or DARE in a note at the bottom of their post for the next round's considerationRight now, you must write your character arriving on the ship, receiving the crumpled paper from the canon with the name of your target and their choice of either truth or dare, and then administering that truth/dare to the individual
› Round A and B repeat in this way with a newly randomized assigned target. Students will have one week each round to submit their posts
› Failure to post by a round's deadline will result in the assumption that the character froze up and declined to continue. They will be removed from the game
› All IC rules still apply and IC consequences are possible depending on the situationSite rules and rating will also always apply. All dare and truths must comply with them.ICly, the game takes place Aug 14th
〘 THE SETTING 〙
Marooned and out to sea. Those that had the daring gall to sign up for this summer's rounds of Truth or Dare would find themselves sectioned off to longboats and rowed out to their designated ship, each flying a massive flag to identify their numbered groups and anchored to the deeper areas of the magically flooded stadium. Were the ships functional? Absolutely not. Lack even a full hull below the black mirrored surface of the water, they could be considered massive props at best. Still, they made for an impressive setting for the fun to be had.
Drawing parallel to the boats and climbing to the hull, students would climb the steep wooden steps up the walls of its body to spill out onto the wooden ship deck. Chairs and cushions had been arranged in a circular medley of seating for those in attendance. A table had been set up at the bow of the ship with any finger food or refreshment a student might possibly desire.
To port, students would notice a number of chests. investigation would reveal them to be packed to the brim with costumes and props: from hand hooks to eye patches; stuffed parrots to false pistols; pirate coats to large colonial chapeaus... if it might conceivably have anything at all to do with pirates or sailing, it could be found within this veritable treasure trove.
Then there was the structure of the ship itself. While the deck served as the primary place of gathering and play, there were other features to consider.
At its centre, a large pole served as the mainmast, metal rungs leading up to the crow's nest high above. Roped shrouds descended at an angle from there to attach at the rails of the deck to port and starboard. The port side also boasted a long gangplank that extended well beyond the edge of the ship to hover threateningly over the water. Not to cause any worry, however, any who might find themselves taking a long walk off a short pier would find shark-shaped floaties waiting in the water below and easily accessible ladders to climb back up to deck.
To the stern, stairs could be found to either side framing a pair of doors and leading up to a raised platform overlooking the deck. There, with a great view of the false ocean ahead, stood a replica wheel to imitate a functional helm. It wouldn't steer the boat anywhere, of course, but that didn't mean it wouldn't still be fun to play pretend.
And finally, beneath the helm, what would normally occupy the captain's quarters and officer's room had been refurbished into something of small sitting areas. In a pinch, they could each be used as a private changing room; or, alternatively, a quiet place to decompress if the chaos of the game became too much; or even as a place of banishment or seclusion should a dare require it...
But how would they determine to whom they would present their truths and their dares? This was, perhaps, the most enticing prop of all. A small canon would sit in the middle of the social circle. At the start of each round, all players would be required to load their names into its barrel. Swiveling about, it would go from student to student and fire off a crumple piece of paper into the waiting hands or lap of the recipient, thereby assigning their victim target.
Ultimately, the ship was at the full disposal of the young witches and wizards who would find themselves playing the part of its new crew. In the name of Truth or Dare, imagination was the only limitation. What happened on the ship, stayed on the ship (maybe). And at the end of the game, the students would be loaded back into the rowboats to be taken back to shore.

Truth or Dare — Group TWO
Jack was astounded by how much work had gone into the theme of this year's summer camp. He wished Ruka and Katsuo could have been there to see it. When the students who had signed up for Truth or Dare were rowed to their numbered ships, Jack kept looking over the side at the water. It really felt like they were at sea. Nevermind that the ships weren't even full ships; it was enough for any kid to be able to play pretend and let their imaginations run wild.
Once the kids in his boat had climbed the steps to the wooden ship deck, he admired the chairs and cushions arranged for them to seat themselves upon and took one of the cushions for his own. The finger foods on the table at the bow of the ship made him give himself a mental note to try some later. For now, the port side of the ship - or left side, as it were - called to him and drew his attention stronger than the food.
Going over to stand over the chests, Jack regarded each of the props and costumes, grinning as he took out a pirate captain's coat and a tri-cornered hat to wear. He also took a spyglass and placed it in his pocket after a quick look through it for fun. Whoever had set everything up in this place had really outdone themselves.
He looked up to follow the metal rungs up the mainmast to the crow's nest, still grinning madly. He quickly climbed the rungs to look out from the crow's nest and saw the gangplank below with the shark-shaped floaties in the water beneath it. Everything had been so carefully thought out down to the very last detail. This was the perfect place to play a game of Truth or Dare!
From his vantage point, Jack could also see the stairs toward the stern that led up to the raised platform overlooking the deck and the wheel that had been put on the platform for the sake of fake steering. Eventually, Jack climbed back down the metal rungs to the main deck where he could go to investigate the sitting area where the captain's quarters might have been. He committed the place to memory just in case it might have come in handy later.
Finally, the Welsh teen made his way to the small canon in the middle of the social circle, ready to start playing. Supposedly they were supposed to get the name of the kid they were supposed to dare or ask a truth of from the canon and Jack patiently waited his turn, trying to think up good truths and dares. At last, a paper was fired at him and he caught it with gusto, quickly and excitedly un-crumpling it to reveal the name and preference written on it.
The name Jack got was Coraline Harvey, who he had never heard of before. Perhaps they were from a different school than Hogwarts. Beaming as he noticed Coraline had selected Truth, he looked around before holding the paper up and calling out, "Coraline Harvey?" Then, after waiting a moment to see who turned to answer to their name, he asked aloud, "What secret have you never told anyone?"

coraline found herself wandering uselessly around, which somehow ended in her signing up for truth or dare. And now here she was, wandering around again in her pink summer dress. She didnt bother talking to the other kids, instead she hummed siftly to herself while watching everyone. Every oncenin a while she'd stop humming and tilt her head as if to kisten to whisper. Then, with a satisfied smile, she'd go back to humming.
She followed the main stream of kids until she found her boat. She wandered once again, occasionally bumping into students. She was looking out from the edge of the ship when someone said her name. She jumped, turning around. She looked at the ginger boy before her. "yes? Thats my name!" She smiled warmly.
What has she never told anyone? "oh lots of things." she said with a dreamy look. "if people knew most they'd only think I was weirder." she didnt seem bothered by this statement at all. In fact, she looked amused. "well, lets see then. My father and mother grow crystals and my mom is a spiritual healer. Many people think her work is fake." she thought for a monent. "that wont do, will it? No, I suppose not. How about this- id like to think that the best listeners are the spirits of people before. They already know most secrets, dont you think?" with a satisfied nod, she turned away.
She looked at her name."haley rose? What a pretty name. Oh, and it matches your hair. "she smiled sweetly at the girl. "I dare you to sing a song, and dedicate it to someone." she gave an encouraging smile.

As Olive made her way onto her designated ship, she couldn’t help but admire all that had been done to truly set the theme of pirates for summer camp. The stadium had been flooded magically for goodness sake! That was pure commitment in her eyes.
The American girl had wanted to meet new people and get involved in some of the activities which were offered, so she had signed up for a game of Truth or Dare, among other things. She most certainly hadn’t come back to Europe just to sit idly by doing nothing but her sketches. There would be plenty of time for that once summer camp was over anyhow.
Now, she looked around the ship happily, with the feeling that they were really out on an ocean, rather than a Quidditch stadium. A small canon was fired, giving each of the students a crumpled ball of paper containing a name. Olive unfurled hers to read the name Verona Andréas. The name was unfamiliar, which probably meant it was a foreign student like herself.
”Verona Andréas?” she called, albeit a bit uncertainly. She wasn’t sure exactly what she should dare him to do, so she figured the first thing that came to her mind ought to work out alright. ”I dare you to give us all a four minute stand up comedy routine.” If any odd looks were to come her way, she would simply shrug and refocus her eyes back on Verona to see what he would do. This would certainly be interesting, and bring some entertainment to their ship.
Next selection is truth.

Truth or Dare — Group TWO
Interacting with: Manuela Macedo @Aly Salinger
Mentions: Coraline Harvey & Haley Rose indirectly❀Signing up for Truth or Dare had been a bit spur of the moment, but it seemed the best option of the lot for her to meet people. She had considered signing up for the triathlon, but ultimately decided not to. It had sounded interesting, but she'd come to summer camp to meet people, so... Not really the right activity for that. The wolf-game thing just sounded convoluted to her. Maybe next year, if such a thing happened every year. And sure, twirl the flagon, if such a game was really being planned, might work for meeting people, too. It just didn't feel like her cup of tea. Maybe with her old classmates she could've joined, but honestly she just wasn't interested in kissing anyone (yet at least.) It just did not sound appealing. Again, maybe another year. (Strictly speaking, she hadn't even known that Truth or Dare and this Twirling the Flagon were two separate things apparently. She had only heard of Spin the Bottle where you spun the bottle, your 'victim' chose truth or dare and kissing someone was just one of the potential dares. But apparently they were different.)
She was a little bit nervous about joining the game, hopefully whatever truths or dares she'd have to do wouldn't be too bad. But it was too late to turn back now. (Technically it wasn't. No one was forcing her to participate, but she'd signed up and so she was doing this!) Another part of her was hyped. Add to that the whole pirate theme thing... It was gonna be awesome!
Getting to their assigned ship by boat was weird but cool. Being asssigned a ship was too, come to think of it. They looked incredible though also a teeny tiny bit freaky not being full ships and missing the bottom parts apparently. Still cool.
Climbing the wooden steps up onto the ship (no rope ladder?) Glenys felt a bit like she was vibrating out of excitement. Setting foot on the deck of the ship, her jaw dropped. They'd really gone all out with the design and everything, hadn't they? Practically bouncing over, Glen chose a cushion to drop down on to take it all in and wait for her turn to be fired upon by a cannon. (Which should sound more scary than it did probably.)
The cushion was comfy. She wanted one.
When the cannon shot a piece of paper into her lap, Glenys quickly opened it and jumped up, smoothing down her light blue summer dress. The dress even fit the theme somewhat, as it was patterned in waves in slightly different shades of pale blue. If you squinted, it could look a bit like water. Reading the name – Manuela Macedo – and that they had selected dare, Glenys quickly wracked her brain what she could dare them to do.
“Manuela Macedo?”, she called out to see who would react to the name. Once she made out her target she would make her way over to ask her again just to be sure: “Are you Manuela Macedo?”, and if she got confirmation she would add: “I dare you to jog two laps around the ship – backwards.” She had originally intended to add that she had to sing her favourite song while doing it but she'd overheard another dare involving singing on her way over and figured she'd drop that part then.❀Action:

Owl / DM for Interaction
It feels like only a few days ago that the newly turned 14th years old b. August 3rd Portuguese lad which is Verona Andréas stepped his foot at UK soil and London Quidditch Stadium. Now he was already in the middle of this year's Summer Camp. During signed-up day, the Duellist had signed himself up for some of the activities that will be held at this year's Camp.
Truth or Dare is one of the many Ronnie had signed up for. His goal when he attends this year's Camp is to make new connections and friends. And if along the way he met someone he fancies then so be it. And so when August 14th rolled in, the ever-excited boy could not hold his excitement.
His tentmates probably got sick and tired of Ronnie's blabbing on and on about how he could not wait for Truth or Dare to begin with. Dress in a Navy blue shirt, white shorts, and matching color shoes to boot, Ronnie stepped outside his tent and follow the herd of people that will partake in today's activity.
Once Ronnie arrived at the ship, Ronnie smiled from ear to ear. From what he heard from Cash about Hogwarts's Summer Camp (which is always awesome), its never disappointed its attendees and always delivered. His blue-grey eyes took on his surrounding until his eyes landed on a treasure chest.
The second youngest of the Ramírez then makes a beeline towards the chest. Once Ronnie stood in front of the chest, he can see a lot of costumes and props he can choose from. Without thinking it twice, the Castelo Duellist took out the eye patch and the fake pistol. The dark-haired boy immediately put on the eye patch.
Then he rummaged the chest once more hoping he will find the holsters for his fake pistol. After a minute or so, finally, Ronnie found it. He put the fake pistol into its holster and wear it around his waist. "This is freaking awesome!"Ronnie said in Portuguese and took a seat on one of the many cushions that were already provided.
Once the participants of today's activity took their places, Ronnie's blue-green eyes bounce from one person to the next. Haley Rose and Manuela Macedo are the only ones that Ronnie knows of out of the masses. Then the cannon swiveled about. It spitted out a crumpled paper when the cannon pointed his way.
Ronnie caught the crumpled paper with his right hand. He then unfurled the crumpled paper and it show the name said, John Wright. Ronnie was about to find the lad when a feminine voice called out his name. "Bem aquí right here"Ronnie said to the girl that was calling out his name.Once Ronnie is beside Olive, the girl dares Ronnie to do a stand-up comedy.
Ronnie blinked at the girl. It is not because Ronnie did not understand English but he did not know what a stand-up comedy is. His knowledge about Muggle pop culture is limited. "Uh.. o que é uma comédia stand-up? what is standup comedy?"Ronie asked Olive. The more confused Ronnie is or in a certain situation, his proficiency in the English language is poofed.
When that happens, he will resort to his mother tongue which is Portuguese. Ronnie then looked at Olive who still waiting for Ronnie to deliver the stand-up comedy that she asked for. "Você pode me desafiar com algo mais fácil? can you challenge me with something easier?"Ronnie expressed while scratching his head.
Ronnie hopes Olive will comply with his request. Once Ronnie has done the second challenge Olive throws at him, Ronnie will look for this John Wright lad. "John Wright? Estou ligando para um I am calling for a John Wright,"Ronnie eyes search for whoever this John Wright lad is.
Once the person that Ronnie had been called acknowledges him, Ronnie will stand beside the young lad. The Castelo student looks at the paper that has John's name and truth in it. "John Wright, certo? right?"Ronnie inquired the boy. For a moment Ronnie thought about a question that he wants to ask John.
After a minute or so, Ronnie finally opens his mouth. "Since you picked uma verdade, diga-me a truth, tell me what is the most embarrassing things you have done?"Question the fourth year with a smirk on his lips.

Truth or Dare — Group TWO
@Cassandra Ironwoods as Ronnie @Jack BurnettNot only a new summer camp returned but also the annual activities repeated and so Haley found herself back at truth and dare a year after her first summer camp. Like last year, she didn't know what to expect but she hoped for a fun evening. She walked leisurely to the ship that was meant for her group and after she had finally arrived, she looked around briefly and checked out the setting. She sat down on an empty seat on one of the cushions and as she sat down she saw Ronnie sitting directly opposite. She smiled broadly at him and waved unobtrusively.
Haley's attention was quickly drawn to a girl who was talking about her mother who was a spiritual healer. "Haley Rose, yes that's me." She smiled, eager to see how the evening would start for her. "A song?" the redhead repeated, thinking for a moment. For those who knew Haley, it would come as no surprise. Haley was a crazy little soul and up for any fun, it was clear that she would have a lot of fun doing this little task. After thinking for a moment, an idea came to her and she got up from her crushion.
Haley couldn't help but think of a Muggle movie, her father loved it and they had watched it together a few times. They often played and sang some songs from it together on the piano, one of them had got into her head. As she stood up she turned in a circle once and her gaze caught on Ronnie as she formed a playful smile on her lips. She stopped and began to sing, quietly and slowly at first:
"I close my eyes and I can see
A world that's waiting up for me
That I call my own
Through the dark, through the door
Through where no one's been before
But it feels like home
They can say, they can say it all sounds crazy
They can say, they can say I've lost my mind
I don't care, I don't care, if they call me crazy
We can live in a world that we design"
She walked slowly towards Ronnie and pretended to speak to him through her singing. It was obvious that he was the chosen one to whom the song was sung.
She stopped for the first part of the chorus and her voice became more powerful:
"'Cause every night, I lie in bed
The brightest colours fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awake
I think of what the world could be
A vision of the one I see
A million dreams is all it's gonna take
Oh, a million dreams for the world we're gonna make"
She skipped the middle part of the song and when she arrived in front of Ronnie, she slowly knelt in front of him and looked deep into his eyes:
"However big, however small
Let me be part of it all
Share your dreams with me
We may be right, we may be wrong
But I wanna bring you along to the world I see
To the world we close our eyes to see
We close our eyes to see"
She paused for a moment inside, before she went out for the second and last time for the chorus. Again a little quieter and calmer this time:
"Every night, I lie in bed
The brightest colours fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awake
I think of what the world could be
A vision of the one I see
A million dreams is all it's gonna take
A million dreams for the world we're gonna make
For the world we're gonna make"
She paused for a moment and grinned to herself before standing back up and with a quick turn taking a seat back on her crushion. "Well I guess now it's time for..." she looked down at her paper "Jack Burnett." She thought for a moment, what could she ask him. It wasn't long before an idea came to her:
"Name someone you've pretended to like but actually couldn't stand."
Action: singing to Ronnie, giving Jack his Truth and choosing dare for the next round

A brunette girl in a pretty pink summer dress answered Jack, though he wasn't familiar with her. She seemed nice enough, but he was betting she was from a different school which would have explained why he didn't recognize her at all. He was sorry when he caused her to jump, but she didn't seem to mind if her warm smile was indicative of anything.
It would have been a lie if he'd said he hadn't been disappointed with how easily she answered his 'truth'. Still, he listened, intrigued. He wondered if her parents were muggles or not and ultimately guessed they were. What wizard folk would be spiritual healers when they had magic to rely on? Perhaps there could have been some in existence, but he certainly wouldn't have known about it. When the girl, Coraline, expressed that she liked to think the best listeners were the spirits of people before, he nodded, intrigued. They probably did know the most secrets, especially if they were anything like the Hogwarts ghosts.
Soon Haley Rose - a Gryffindor girl a year below Jack's - was picked to do a dare: singing a song and dedicating it to someone. Jack liked the song she picked, especially since he had heard it before with Ruka, but it made him feel a bit homesick. He continued to listen until she finished and applauded her when she was done, unable to help wondering if she had a crush on the boy she had dedicated and sang the song to. He didn't dare ask to verify, but if gave him an idea for future truths and dares.
Ironically, it turned out that Haley's next act was to ask Jack a truth. He swallowed hard, not having expected his turn to come so soon. The question was surprisingly less difficult than he had expected it to be, but he also had trouble thinking of someone.
"Hmm...someone I've pretended to like but actually can't stand?" he repeated, thinking. Then he said, "Willow Anderson. She's gotten along with a lot of people I know, but she seems chafing, whiny, and self-centered to me. Not to mention she goes around trying to get everyone to make death sentences - er, friendship bracelets, but that's what I call them." He sighed and shrugged. "Have to play nice with her, though. Okay, who's next?" Jack asked, looking around as he grinned.
Jack chooses Dare for the next round.

Outfit: x Truth or dare, a relatively simple game that would hopefully not turn into a complete disaster. Though, considering it was a bunch of teenagers giving each other truths or dares, it would realistically get quite messy as the night went on. Adelaide, unsurprisingly for the young girl, chose the safest option: truth. She was not really the one to take risks, and some people are extremely creative when it came to dares, so truth was by far the safest choice.
The setting was impressive, and whoever had designed it truly went above and beyond. The blonde and her group were rowed out to their assigned ship. She climbed up the wooden steps and looked around her, noticing the chairs and cushions set out for them, a table full of food and refreshments, and a few chests. The main thing she noticed though, was the cannon in the middle that would be used to assign each of them their targets. She walked over to it, and the cannon fired out a piece of paper for her. Violet Carrington was written on the piece of paper, and whoever they were had chosen dare.
Adelaide didn't know a Violet, so she resorted to yelling her name, "Violet Carrington?" If anyone answered her, she'd turn to them and say, "Okay, I dare you to bark in between each word you say until the next round." She thought that was a pretty funny dare, and it wasn't at all dangerous. She had a feeling some people would quickly dare their target to jump into the water or something worse, so at least this would be very entertaining for the rest of the group.Adelaide is choosing TRUTH for the next round.

Dear reader, August 14, 2022
Truth or Dare
xxxxxxxxPrinted neatly on the slip of paper that Maggie had been assigned was a name. Leandra von Abendrot. Maggie hadn’t heard the name before. It was foreign to her, odd on her tongue as she sounded it out. It was a habit that Maggie had—sounding out each letter and syllable as she had in her pre-Hogwarts years, just beginning to work out the alphabet.
”Leandra von Ah-bentrot—Abendrot,” she read, over and over, the corners of the paper folded over by her gentle fingertips and trembling hands. Dare.
Honestly, Maggie had never been very good at dares. This game was one of quick thinking and clever remarks, of which Maggie thought she had neither.
Years ago, when she was nine (not as far away now as it seemed, in the grand scheme of things), she’d played this very game at a girl’s birthday party.
Truth, she’d said, sitting eagerly forward and hanging on to the birthday girl’s every single word. Her name had been Nina. Oh, how Maggie remembered Nina. She’d been tickled pink when she’d been invited to the party. She remembered how Nina had given her the truth, the curse. Who do you have a crush on?
Maggie’d sat there for minutes, it felt like, lips pursed. Who did she like? Did she like anyone? ”Well, I guess I like you.” It had taken the entire room by surprise. Maggie Hawkins was never invited back.
So the pressure was on to do a great job. A good job giving Leandra a good dare, something everyone would think about for years to come. ”Leandra von Abendrot!” A clear, accented voice cut through the chaos. ”I dare you to be a cat. All fours, meowing, giving yourself a bath with your hand. Just until your next turn, yeah?”INTERACTIONS | @Leandra von Abendrot
