When I saw the English or Western, I literally thought of horseback riding hahaha!
I do love Western like it's my bias.
But when it comes to jumping, I think English is easier on your body ah hem.
I've done both though haha XD

You are correct on that one. There are two different families that do lessons near me and I am having a difficult time choosing which lessons to take. I have done Western before but want to do English...

whats teh difference tbh- isn't english more riding- polo like- and western like literally taking the beaten path-

English: Think of Olympic horseback riding; show jumping, dressage, eventing, and quite a few other ones. Those are the best known for English. Polo is under the English category. The saddle is smaller than Western.

Western: Think of rodeos and ranch work. Reining, Ranch Work, Barrel racing are important competitions in Western. The saddle is normally much larger and made so it is harder to fall off.

The racer I love going with (he is a small town dirt track racer- owns a ponderosa where they do western style then.
